Hi ladies - thanks again for all the feedback and support....I really do appreciate it and am keeping track of everything so when I go in next week to see my RE I will be prepared with questions. The good news I found out today at my psychologist visit (she consults for us IVF peeps) is that there are 2 local agencies here and the hospital my RE uses has a better than 65% success rate - she thinks it's near 80% but doesn't want to be too optimistic so that's good. She said that since she works with my RE on screening donors she knows that he would be very helpful in screening a donor for me and trying to find a match that best suits us. I think she said to expect to pay about $10,000 in addition to whatever we would have to pay for our part so I think taht would be close to $20,000 - not too bad, better than $30,000.

SO....alot will depend on what my RE and I discuss next week and also what my DH and I want to do. My therapist said that it probably would be best to hear the chances of us conceiving our own biological child vs. using a donor egg. Regarding my mom's statement about a bio child, she meant not having any of my DNA....but this is NOT her decision and if we do anything, she won't know about it until it's happened. I love her but boy can she be a real pest!

Hope you're all having a great week so far and look forward to discussing this more after my visit (or before if anyone wants to chime in).

Take care and talk soon - God bless!

Kim

Hi ladies - well I got my test results last week and I was pretty disappointed at my numbers. My FSH was 11.5 (it was 8 in Mar. 2008) and my E2 level was around 45. I know that the FSH # isn't a deal breaker but I was sad to see how much it jumped in over a year....which makes the tick-tock in my head get louder and louder.

So with that number, I need to decide now if we should try one more IVF with my eggs or just jump to donor eggs? Or even adoption but with that, I wouldn't even know where to begin. I'm meeting with my fertility counselor next week to decompress all of this and see what I can talk through. My DH says whatever I want to do is ok with him so I need to really be sure.

Thanks for your support ladies - I appreciate it and hope you're all doing well. Have a great day!
