Pack812: Thanks... I've really been trying to keep up beat and not focus on it so much. I won't even have my 1st beta until next week. For the most part I seem to be OK but then I get these weird feelings and fears that it didn't work and I go all freaky emotional.... *sighs* stupid emotions

TexasGRL: I hope you have fun with your friend. Are you allowed a small taste of the wine? That would suck to not be able to enjoy at least a little taste of it

athena3: congratulations on being PUPO... We are PUPO together!! My 1st beta is scheduled for the 15th but its a Sunday so I'm trying to get it changed. My RE told me that there is really no difference between a 3 day transfer and a 5 day transfer. I think the main reason they like to do 5 day transfers is due to them being able to knock down the possibility of multiples better. My RE also doesn't tell me anything unless I specifically ask about it. It is annoying, but at least you are asking questions Good luck and I'll be praying for you!

Leenalee: CONGRATS on being pregnant officially That is a WONDERFUL first beta #.

jdtx65: Yes if only I could go to the future just a few weeks to verify everything is going to be OK Wouldn't that be wonderful? Who are our scientists here? Shouldn't they be working on this for us all?

AFM: The cramping has started to go away a little bit which now causes a new concern for me (does it every end LOL) Is this normal that after implantation the cramping would go away? They have never been super bad cramps where I am doubled over or anything like that and I never once got any kind of bleeding. But the weird thing is that the cramps will go away if I have a full bladder, and as soon as I go to the bathroom they start back up again. I looked on google and it said that you normally have the cramping when you have a full bladder, not the other way around. I don't know what this is from, I just keep praying my little babies are sticking around.

Pack – your script comes just in time for the Nordstrom’s half yearly sale! I was wondering how I was going to justify making a run. I agree that it feels like you are right where you need to be. I am so happy you’re trying again. You are a fount of delightfully witty support and it would be shame not to try one more time to share that with a little one. I’m happy the conversation went so well with your donor. When the two of you are looking at your baby someday, she’s going to be just as proud as you are. Who else has a friend who has shared so much of this journey? She sounds like a gem and I’m glad you have such a wonderful person in your life.

Trisha – I am hoping you’ll find the magic formula for keeping yourself distracted during the 2 ww. The last few days, I had quiet breakdowns about every 3 hours. About every 9 hours, I would share with DH. He thought that I was freaking out like crazy. If he only knew…. As for symptom watch, it wasn’t until 3 days before beta that I really started to notice any and some gals get luck enough to have none, so don’t let that mess with your head too much.

Shelli – I’m not sure if you’re lurking or not, but I’ve been following your blog. We’re here for you whenever you need us. I wish your results had been different, but I’m happy you’re going to force some accountability for the freeze method. Makes you wonder when so many are defrosted and so few make it if the freezing technique or defrosting technique could be improved. to you, Shelli. I’ll be keeping you and Dawn in my prayers.

Dawn – Igs, honey. I’m guessing you’re whirlwind of a life has swept you up into another adventure involving all those folks staying at your house, sifting through the treasures in your new home, and settling in. I hope that you’re finding some room in there for whatever gives you the most comfort. Miss you around here and am praying you’re able to enjoy all the new-ness in your life right now.

Wishing – what a sucky coincidence on the timing of AF and your past efforts. I think it’s the last step before you put out the uterus welcome mat for the next try, right? 12/15 is going to be here before you know it. And we’re ready to cheer you on!

Malloned - I didn’t notice earlier that you were a SET gal, too. You’re the success story I’m gonna lean on for the next few weeks. I’ll be memorizing all the updates in your signature. It just wouldn't be this board if we all didn’t have some kind of “side stalking” project.

To everyone who made my day with their congrats posts (and to our resident emoticon artist, Teresa) – thank you. I can’t tell you how happy we are to have made it this far. I’ve been thanking G-d every day for how far we’ve gotten and asked for the blessings to continue. Aw, look. As I typed that, I got a little cramp. Love that.

Anyone else ever change their PIO shot time to PM from AM? They told us we could transition our PIO shots to evenings, but there's a catch. We can only move them back by 2 hours at a time. So today we got up at 5 a.m. for the jib-jab. Tonight is 3 a.m.. Sunday, a "school night," no less! is 1 a.m.. After that, we should be pretty close to the normal bedtime. I did notice a difference this a.m. though. When I woke up 5 hours after my shot, I actually felt awake, as opposed to how I normally feel at 10 a.m. which is like I'm sleep walking. Can't wait til the liquid drowsiness in these shots starts working for me!

Angela- WE were posting at the same time! Glad to hear you are moving your PIO to night so that it doesn't effect your alertness factor so much! Hang in there for the early morning intervals until you get to the right evening time! Is it beginning to sink in that you are pregnant? Enjoy your weekend!

Unhappy

Hello everyone. I am hoping you can pass on some of your experiences. This afternoon I developed bright red bleeding with a few small clots. It seemed to resolve but now has returned. I am having no cramps to speak of. I called my RE and he said "bleeding doesn't usually mean what you think it is" which has made me feel somewhat better. I will be going in for an US at 9 in the morning.

Have any of you had bright red bleeding this early..(week 7)? I have been doing some research from miscarriage to subchorionic hemmorhage. Needless to say, I very worried.

Thank you in advance.

Paula- It sounds like it very well could be a SCH (subchorionic hemmorhage) Did they tell you to lay down and stay hydrated? Sounds very similar to what I had when I had SCH. Praying that everything is fine, and many many times with SCH everything is just fine. LGB and Browneyes had SCH and both have dissolved/resolved, but both were on bedrest for several weeks! Please KUP after you have your u/s tomorrow morning! Lay down and rest today/tonight! TOY

Butterfly- My heart is breaking for you! Please know while I can't change what is, that I am here TOY and praying that you can get some answers, and a POA in the weeks to come. This is so not fair for you and I know you are just beside yourself! We are all here to give you extra hugs and support! Unfortunately, many of us have had the same devastating news! Time will help heal, but it does take time.... Wishing you brighter days ahead!

Spotting

pdeupree - I have had a lot of experience with spotting. When I was pregnant with my daughter, and she is 3/12 now, I spotted in the first trimester for a couple of weeks. It was bright red. I don't remember clotting, but there could have been. It was a totally unmedicated, natural pregnancy. My doc told me that the cervix is really vascular during pregnancy, and any irritation can cause bleeding. With this pregnancy, I have had regular spotting, bright red to brown. Once again (new RE), I have been told that the spotting is likely caused by irritation of the cervix because I am using Endometrin suppositories. Are you using PIO or suppositories? If not, could something else have caused there to be irritation?

Pd: Listen to Godiva, if it is an SCH then rest and staying hydrated is the best thing. I am sorry that you are going through this scare! ((hugs)) and that everything is fine at u/s tomorrow!

Butterfly: TOY an sending to you! I can not even imagine how devastating this has been, I wish you peace and happiness in the future.

NYC: If you do not mind could you PM me which hospital you are using and why? I have questions about where to deliver. Maybe I could PM you some questions if that is o.K? Hoping your spotting is just a nuisance and not anything serious!

Godiva: Hope you are having a good weekend!

Pack: I think I need a prescription for retail therapy as well! I have been looking for lamps for our apartment and dh thinks I have too expensive of taste. If I told him it was prescribe from Dr. Pack, I could get my brass floor lamps!! lol

My donor cousin texted me Thursday asking if we could get together. She told her DD that she was donating to us right before Halloween and DD had questions. We met them today for lunch and had our little talk. I was kind of nervous about it, but it wasn't too bad. DD is 9, so is more aware of what is going on than my DD (4). She was basically concerned about being able to see the possible child, if we were going to disclose to the child, if we were going to treat our DD differently, and what would happen to the children if DH and I die.
Donor cousin and I both emphasized the fact that any child that is born will not be her sibling, but her cousin. She had been telling her mother that she was "giving away" a baby, so we really focused on the fact that the eggs she donates will not be babies and would not have become babies. I also tried to remind her that we aren't telling everyone and shouldn't say anything to my DD or any possible baby until they are older and better able to understand.
There is a boy in her class that has two moms, so her mom talked to her about what she would expect to happen if the sperm donor came. Would the little boy have to call him dad? She understood that he was not the boy's dad, that he only had two moms. My cousin then said this was a very similar situation. She seemed to understand that better. I'm hoping that this is easier for her once/if I become pregnant. It is confusing to adults, so I can't imagine it's easy for a 9 year old to really understand. Seeing me pregnant might make the fact that it is my child more real to her.

Pdeupree, thinking about you tonight. Sounds like you have already gotten some great advice from women who have experienced similar things and continued successful pregnancies, so hopefully this is of some comfort. I know that you must be worried, but try to just keep your feet up and get through the next 15 hours. We will be for you.

Lilcbru, sounds like the conversation today went well. I agree that having her see YOU be pregnant with this baby will probably help her better understand the relation of this child to you, her mom and her.

Heading out for some sushi -- a luxury I will have to give up when pregnant, right? My girlfriend just opened this restaurant last night, so going to celebrate with her. So, talk to you all later!
