faith, you read too many pregnancy dont's honey Yes left overs are ok (and my Re allows chocolate, a cup of coffee and wine in the last trimester...e gads). She did tell me to lay of the cigars

Jd I'm so glad we're getting close!!! Stay healthy and strong and let's get POS baby!!

Karma I'm so happy for you. healthy twins You go girl!!!

The ending of the other thread was odd....but oh well. We all have out different styles, some umm bolder than others on line

Last but not least, I hate to post bad news after Karma's great news but my results are back. Hcg is down from 2177 on Friday to 374. We've lost them both and will be moving onto FET transfer in mearly to mid September. Maybe then we'll have better luck. We're purchasing our business, a wonderful second home and maybe some bouncing beans all that month. I'm shooting for a 3 out of 3 run on wins in September! It's my turn and all

Teresa- thanks. The girls have developed a routine, and during naptime I am able to squeeze in posting.

Marisa- Wow! How the heck are you? So good to see you back. How is Mommyhood? Twins are a challenge, but I love seeing them grow and change together. I could not imagine one of them without the other.

Shellie- I am glad Faith posted her story. It is so true that it only takes one- but that doesn't mean it is easy to deal with during the cycle.

Leigh- Hmm... tips... Well everyone says to sleep when the baby sleeps but that doesn't work for me. I try to eat and do housework while they sleep during the day. Plus, they don't always sleep at the same time, so it is harder to do stuff. We also don't strongly follow the feed them both at the same time rule. I actually prefer them to be about a half hour to an hour apart in feedings. That way I can feed each of them alone. I have fed both at the same time and it is hard, especially burping. I don't breastfeed though so that may affect my thoughts on that (I have supply issues. I do pump so they can get a couple of ounces a day at least. And Brooke will sometimes latch on, but she doesn't get enough to have it is as her main meal).

Speaking of feedings, if you are going to use formula, be sure the hospital sets you up for your free cases from Enfamil and Similac. You are entitled to them as a mom of multiples. Our girls came home on Enfacare, so we got two cases of that right away. We haven't got our Similac yet. I am waiting to see if Brooke stays on the Similac Alimentum for her colic.

Another consideration is buying 2 or more of a lot of items. I hit Craigslist and picked up most of my stuff for cheap. We have 3 swings (2 down, 1 up) and I couldn't live without them. If one baby is fussing while I am trying to take care of the other baby, the swing really helps to calm them down. We also have lots of bouncy seats too. Again, a set for upstairs and a set for down. Since it is difficult to hold both babies at the same time, you need a place to put one of the babies.

A couple of items I would get if I were you are:
-a noise machine for nighttime (twins can wake each other up in the night. the white noise tends to drown out each others little sounds)
-some kind of baby carrier so you can have one baby on you while tending to the other baby (I tried a few of them but have come to like the Baby K'tan- it is easy to use and comfortable for my back. Target has it the cheapest!).

One last thing. There will be times when one baby is crying and you cannot hold him/her at that moment because you are busy with the other baby. This was one of the hardest things for me to get used to. But remember you are doing all you can. The baby will be just fine, and will surely get extra snuggles from you when you can.

Please ask if there are any specific questions about twins.

Faith- Leftovers are just fine... enjoy not having to cook everyday!

Igloo- sorry for the confirmation news, at least you were prepared. I know you mentioned you didn't want to keep doing beta b/w, but it does help show that all has expelled and no tiny piece of tissue is left. Did you get to have an u/s today?
I am happy that your hcg is already down to the 300's.... hopefully it will drop much faster than mine did! Septemeber is going to be crazy, but hopefully you will get a 3/3 home run on all your ventures... KUP!

Did I say, how I was not prepared to do this work project????? I guess procrastination is not going to happen this time with the deadline change... I do procrastinate, but then pull it off at the end with flying colors.... (I know I torture myself with stress in the meantime... lol)

Have a good evening!

LOL Godiva it sounds like you work just like I do. Last second is when I do my best work heh heh and always pull it off in the end as well, with everyone thinking I put days and weeks into a project.

No U/S today. They will only do that if I don't start my cycle in three days. It's dropped so quickly and the previous U/S showed basically nothing, that they feel it's ok to leave this as a natural miscarriage verses doing any intervention. She said if there had been any obvious tissue in the previous U/S she'd be more concerned, but we'll see how it goes. I'm afraid you had me scared with your slower than slow drop story so I was really relieved when it dropped so quickly. I expected a few more days bed rest and inconclusive results.

They're working on my calendar as we speak, so I will get to move forward for a Mid Sept transfer. It times perfectly around a trip we've been planning for some. And lucky day...if it did drop significantly, the doc said I could have some happy pills (ok it's not speed specifically but it's a strong diet pill) so that I can maybe knock off a few pounds before the transfer cycle begins. I have gained so much weight in the last year doing all of these cycles it's making me crazy. So now it's time to cycle during nap time for DS and eat right....and maybe drop five or ten lbs prior to gaining 20 or so with a baby LOL

Teresa- It's ironic that after all of the times you were setback, now the final part (the ET) is gonna happen early. Glad to hear your lining issues are resolved, and we're all here for you!

JD- To POAS or not? Tough decision, but I'm behind you all the way, whichever way you decide. That said, I'll be making a special check in tomorrow to hear your results, if you do.

Leenalee and Fox- Welcome!

Blue- Fingers crossed for you for tomorrow!

Kate- Echoing Teresa. It's nice to see you around any more. (And I promise not to try and sneak peeks at your hairy legs.)

Faith- Yea for DH coming home early! And leftovers are fine for you, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Sanda- How are you doing on the Lupron? I wish I could say something to make your nervousness go away, but I'm not that powerful, so I'll just say I completely understand.

Jen- So glad to hear the bleeding is nothing to worry about. I know it's hard to do, but I hope you'll take it easy. (And thanks, I'm not yet nervous about Wed, but I'm sure that could change in a heartbeat.)

Malloned- Hope the time flies by until your DH comes home, too.

Shelli- I'm sitting herre with everything crossed for you. It's definitely quality, not quantity, but I know that's hard to hold onto now.

Marisa- We'll be looking forward to cheering you on.

Fried- Sorry to hear you're having swelling issues, but I am glad to hear you were able to reduce your workweek. I hope that helps.

Stephanie- Hope you get all of your work done and you don't feel too stressed.

Igloo- Hon, I'm sorry. Nothing more than that. Oh, well, except September's going to kick butt for you!

Final- Glad you found us!

Blue- Good luck tomorrow! Fingers crossed for you.

Waxing...someone asked about it on the other thread. The first time is the worst, when all of the hair is there, but it's not that bad. A quick sharp pain and then maybe some tenderness for a little while. Then, if you do it regularly, it really doesn't hurt at all. And less and less hair grows back each time. There are good waxers and not so good ones, so ask around. Oh, and price doesn't guarantee they're good, either, but a good waxer will make you feel much more at ease. And I promise you ladies, you don't have anything they haven't seen twenty times that day.

FF- You have heard of the "don't ask, don't tell saying?????" Apply here... and let's just move on forward!
Glad you located us... I tried to PM a few folks to direct them here... sorry I didn't get to you!

I need to disconnect and get busy on my work project... I'm unmotivated, but know I once I get started I can crank out some of it! It's so much more comfortable here at the laptop,(on the couch, in front of the tv... haha) then my desktop where I have items I need, so I have to work there. Oh well, Ciao for now... sure I'll pop back in sometime this evening!

Any more sec. sis gifts arrive?????

Quick Survey!

Who else thinks Stephanie is avoiding her project with a determination that would make a bulldog proud? Heh heh

I'm drinking a pinot gris toast to a 10+ lining by the way I may have a couple...I missed cold wine on a hot day (And it's not hot but I'm pretending)

happy to find you...

Hi All,

Happy to have found you here.

Lots going on this week! Looking forward to my daily dose of updates! Good luck to everyone!! Can't wait to read tomorrow's posts.

Quick update- donor has 27 follies as of today, largest measuring 13. She is only on day 6 of stims. I was staring at my phone hoping for the RE to call with that update! As if staring was going to make it ring... I'm a "planner" and I keep seeing if my RE can give me a transfer date...knowing that she can't until we get to that point. Patience is not my middle name

Have a great evening ladies!

Elizabeth

what ?

What did you all do to get us a brand new thread? I wasnt gone that long and you go stirring up trouble..

Igloo- I am glad to see you are your old self - you sound great! I always feel better with a plan of action myself-

Tbonus- Great news! I am happy for you! Please post once you know how many follies - crossed for another strong #-

Godiva- Good luck on finishing your work- Are you feeling better today?

Kate/Sasquatch- LOL! me too- I kid my dh I was smoother before the wedding. poor guy- great tips too!

Thefox-- Congratulations to you! KUP !

Karma- Congrats! That is amazing- seeing the heartbeats is amazing. I am so thrilled for you and your DH- Looking forward to all your milestones!

JD- How are you ? I am typing and then deleting - then retyping-SO HARD to type with crossed fingers-agh!

Final - sending you lots of - oh and one more...

Leenalee- it is normal to be emotional - hard to imagine that you would need to rely on a total stranger to help you with what is supposed to be so "natural" - my friend (who used DS) and I always kid about people who can get romantic and make a babay - how does that happen? no flurescent lighting and clipboards? No copay? You are in the right place and we are all here to support you. Good luck!

Shellie- I am sorry - disappointing news is alwasy the pits- It could still be a great few and maybe a couple could pop over night! Good luck and stay positive!

Friedeggs- congrats on you twins ! I hope the swelling lessens- I experinced a lot of swelling with DS and cut all salt out of my diet- TG ice cream doesnt have salt-

Pack- you have me considering waxing

Elizabeth-WOW! amazing report!

have a good night- gotta tuck in a precocious boy-
