Beta not doubling... help!!!
Hi, I used a donor egg. I transferred two blasts on Sept. 9th. My first beta was 9dp5dt, and it was 248. My second beta was today... four days later at 13dp5dt and it was only 533. It should have been closer to 1000 if my number should be doubling every 48 hours or so.
Anyone with similar results? I am extremely upset to say the least! I have to wait until Friday for another beta.

Try to stay positive (I know, easier said than done, right?) They usually want your beta to double every 48-72 hours, and yours is doubling every 3.62 days, which isn't too far off. I have seen successful pregnancies that start off a little slower than others. you get a good number on Friday!!

Betas are tricky
After IVF last year our first BETA reading was dreadful and then after a week..it just started doubling...sadly we lost close to seven weeks, but it just shows that there is no clear and definable way to tell what will happen. I have a friend who had a slow BETA and she gave birth to a healthy boy. Stay positive, but also remember that these things sometimes do not go as we hope. I have told myself to stay optimistic, but be prepared so heartbreak does not kill me. I would say that you should hope for the best and relax. It is in God's hands now...hopefully that little one is just snuggling in so they can grow, grow, grow! Much love and prayers to you.
