Hi Everybody,
My husband (43) and I (33) are finishing our pre-screening for the shared donor, shared risk program at Shady Grove in DC/MD. This is our first try with any treatment. I was diagnosed with unexplained POF earlier this summer.

Questions for others in this program - How many donors can we expect to choose from in the 1:3 program? If I don't like any of the donors, I wonder if I can simply upgrade to the 1:2 program.

Also, what is a realistic timeline from when we choose our donor to when the cycle starts? If we are the first to choose a given donor, how long will it take for a second couple, and even a third couple to sign on? I understand that once #2 signs on, a 30-day clock begins, after which time treatment begins even without a third couple. What was your experience?

Petunia- Best of luck.... I didn't use Shady grove, but know for sure 2 ladies that did/are... maybe you can PM them (private message) and get some of your questions answered. I know user names: Rachel38 is in a cycle with them now, and Malloned is pregnant through ShadyGrove.

Hope they can answer some questions... Also if you 'search' Shady Grove you may find some other threads with info!

I am currently in a program although out of state. I will private message you and get detailed. Great program though. Refund you if you do not deliver a baby, can back out anytime...still, quite expensive. Worth it in our opinion.
