Success With FROZEN Donor Eggs

Hello Everyone! I am just wanted to hear stories of ladies that have been successful with frozen donor eggs. This may be a possiblity for me and I want to make sure that this is something I should consider. Why did you use frozen eggs? Thanks.

Wecandoit- Some people use their extra frozen embies to do a FET (Frozen embryo transfer), others do embryo adoption (not adoption in the traditional sense) which are frozen embies that they get for their use. Whether they are frozen with your own eggs, or donors, there isn't really any difference.

There is alot of success with FET here with these ladies, and you can see some of the info. on the 'post your data' thread on the donor main page. You can also read about sucesses on the FET thread!

I am wishing you lots of luck and success... If I remember correctly from reading other posts of yours you are in Iowa and were having difficulty locating AA donors. Hope everything is turning around for you! KUP, so we can cheer you on!

To be honest with you, I haven't met anyone who was successful with frozen donor eggs because the process is so new.
I highly suggest that you call the clinic that your interested in using and ask to speak with some of their past clients about their success rates. However, you should keep in mind that these referrals are probaby going to be "cherry-picked" so please take everything they say with a grain of salt.

I'm not sure whether or not you only want to use a donor of your ethnicity but I wish you luck on your journey. I had a hard time finding a donor that I liked that resembled my ethnicity (I'm using donor sperm) and ended used a Cacuasasian sperm donor with extremely fair skin and bright blue eyes (well, at least that what his description said...) and I don't regret choosing him at all.

Wecandoit -- I've had tremendous success with both my FETs. (I also underwent two miscarriages from the fresh and the first FET -- but those turned out to be totally unrelated to the eggs or freezing, and entirely to do with something in my own body called antiphospholipid antibody syndrome... They "fixed" it with daily injections of Lovenox)

Statistically, the success rate with frozen eggs is very nearly as high as with fresh eggs! And you can look these statistics up on practically any RE website, (where they generally list such things) and find out that I'm telling the truth.

Probably the biggest thing you're going to be facing is any obstacles your own body throws at you. After that, they pretty much have the frozen thing down to a science.

I went through RBA here in Atlanta and I can say they are the best. I used frozen donor eggs and it was a success. They have great statistics rates compared to fresh donor eggs. Plus, it is so much cheaper. Try making an consultation appointment! I went to the one midtown. Good luck!!!

I participated in a clinical trial with frozen donor eggs.

They thawed the eggs when my uterine lining was perfect, and they did ICSI, and 3 days later we did transfer.

Supposedly the clinic had between 30-60% success rate during these trials.

Unfortunately, I was not in the success group
