Is the first U/S usually done with a probe or on the stomach?

Thanks!

Hello everyone! Just a quick update from the Czech Republic. We arrived safely late Saturday after 22 hours of travel from door to door. I was so happy that we splurged our frequent flyer on Business Class tickets. The seats were fabulous and I slept soundly for 5 1/2 hours--which was actually more than I slept the two nights before. Every time we travel, I vow to be more organized and start earlier the next time, but the time always gets away from me. This time I told dh I was going to start a checklist and timeline to be more organized next time. Of course next time we will have a little one and that will throw everything off again.

The weather here in Brno is beautiful--almost too good. Before leaving we were in the SoCal heatwave. The day before we left it was 113F, which is just way too hot. We went into town twice today and we are clearly too dependent on our cars as we both worked up quite a sweat in what is for us only moderate heat.

We just got the call from the clinic that our donor produced 9 eggs, 7 of which are mature and will be fertilized! I also think that we might have seen her at the clinic this morning. The doctor told us that they were finishing the retrieval with her and when we were in the reception area, a young woman with the right characteristics walked through and left. If it was her, she is stunningly beautiful. No one is going to believe that the baby is mine.

When the doctor did my scan, he said my lining was "excellent" and if we got good eggs he was "certain" we would get pregnant. I was surprised he would make such a definitive statement because no doctor in the States would make a statement like that. Now my job is to make sure I don't get my hopes up too, too high. I'll let you know when we find out how they are progressing.

Birgit

Birgit, it sounds like everything is going really good for you! When will your transfer be? Will you be resting there for a few days before you fly home? I just thought of something...if you have frozen embryos will they keep them there or send them to the US? I wish you a successful transfer!!!! Soon you will be PUPO!!

Kristen, I am thinking of you today and praying you get a clear check up
