Sandy, can't begin to imagine what the dreaded 2ww is like. Being an impatient person by nature, I am sure that will be one of the hardest parts of the whole process for me.But keep your thoughts positive as are sent your way and I will keep you in my prayers

Morning girls,

how is everyone today!

Sandy - yes the 2ww is bad but the last 1ww is the worse but you will make it through... the weekend is coming and then 3 more days hang in there girl.

Angie and Mary good luck on your ET tom and soon. I hope you have nice little emby waiting to be transfered.

Minnesotagirl - thanks for the compliment... I am so happy things are working out for you and finally hurd your little one's heart beat isn't sweet... Bless you.

Ok so I am doing better now on my "eating better" diet. I am loosing one pound a day and with my ticker it really keeps me focus. The funny thing is its not even hard... I don't understand it... Normally I crave cakes and bread and stuff but this time its my head playing with my mind. I swear last night it smelt like someone was cooking fresh bread imagine that... but still it was not hard at all. So if I hold on I will be able to acheeve my goal before the ET which is my final date... YA!!

Helene

Good Morning and Happy Friday ladies

I'm so glad things are moving forward for everyone I'm so glad to be part of this group there is so much success and positive vibes it is really great

So ladies I must confess I did something really dumb last night and now I got myself all confused and giving myself false hope. Hopefully some of you wiser ladies can help me?

I had no hpts in the house which first of all is a shock as I'm addicted to poas....last night I did an opk test as somewhere down the line I heard you could use them as hpts??? Is that true? Well there was a test line on the opk and was clearly visible but not darker than the control....does that mean there is a chance I got pregnant? I mean seriously my last clomid challenge was 42!!!!! and that was 1 year ago!

Today is 14dpo and didn't get AF this morning but had some cramping last night on and off and swore it was ....I have no symptoms whatsoever that I'm pregnant so I'm sure I'm not...after 6 1/2 years I just know I should know the moment it happens.

So anyhow all I did was drive myself crazy...and if AF doesn't start in a few hrs I will buy a test on the way home and do it in the morning 15dpo with fmu...I mean I've seen a million blank hpts I'm not really sure why I didn't feel like buying one...I suppose I'm just a

Thanks for letting me vent

Melanie

Marie and Angie - good luck on your ETs! I'm confused though - are they today or tomorrow? Either way I'm sending you lots of sticky thoughts!!

Melanie - I had to giggle when I read your post. I was a complete and utter loon during my 2ww. I did the funniest things and ended up driving myself even more nuts along the way. So I totally understand... I say get an HPT just to calm your nerves so you know one way or the other. I was unaware an OPK could detect pregnancy - I thought OPKs detect LH and HPTs detect HCG? Good luck!

Unhappy mammogram report

Ok Ladies here is what I did this morning. I went to the medical records dept and requested a copy of the report to present to my provider. AHHHHA they gave it to me. It was really kinda comical as the lady placed it in a sealed envelope all tape up with a stamp on that said private medical records. So me being the dubious individual that I am waited until I was alone in the elevator to rip that package open. OF course since I am not a physian reading it was challenging , however, as I understand it there are densities in the right subareolar region that requires further imaging evaluation. The left side looks great though. SO when I got home I faxed it to my RE's office and will wait until this pm to call and see what they think.

Teresa exactly what I would have done too! Actually I did do it several times!! Besides they are your records however I must agree sometimes its hard to read their wording...I learned quite a bit from my operative reports basically sounds like I had a lot of equipment in my hoo ha and I'm really glad I was sleeping!!

Seriously I'm thinking about you and I hope it turns out to be nothing but dense tissue.

Dear Melanie, yes a OPK can detect a pregnancy don't remember how its done but it can.

So I would definitly get a HPT today just for the fun of it... Who knows... wouldn't it be fun though ... good luck to you.

And Therese well way to go... I am happy you got mad today and they are finally do something about it.
Let us know dear and good luck to you.

Can't wait to hear how Angie and Marie are making out today!!

Our update:
We had to call our RE today to arrange transferring the backup vial of sperm over to the lab. While we were talking with her, she said that she doesn't expect our donor's ER to be any sooner than Wed., Sept. 10. I am a bit disappointed since she had said that she was thinking it would be the 8, 9, or 10. So now it seems pushed back a little. Of course, the extra wait is always difficult, but I am still nervous about it coinciding with my first day of work. I am teaching my first day on Friday, Sept. 12 (I know I have said this before). If the ER keeps getting pushed back and then a 5 day transfer with 2 days of bedrest, I may miss my first day. Since I am only working on Fridays, it would cancel computer classes for everyone. So I really hope the ER is on Wednesday of next week!

We transferred 2 8-cell embies today. The Dr. said they looked great and my lining and transfer went great as well. I am PUPO I plan on staying on the couch today through Sunday to relax and let things happen. My beta is on 9/19. I will be testing on the 15th though because it is DH's b-day and I would love to surprise him so I hope my embie implants soon hehehehehehe!

Kathelen- I know the worry about missing the first day. Today was our 6th day of school. It was close for me. Send me lots of

I will catch up on personals later because I typed everything once and accidently hit a button since I was on the couch and erased it all.

Yes, our RE only has a few donors - therefore, the wait is at least a a year - and then there are no guarantees that they'd have a donor we would be happy with. Ria

Helene,
Thanks for sharing your story - the one donor I'm communicating with seems very familiar with the process. And, I was having the same experience with the agencies - they were all about $$$. I appreciate you giving your feedback. Wish you the best of luck on your journey. Ria

Question aspirin

I got a call from OB today and he suggested that I start taking baby aspirin. I have some ANA antibodies very low but still he is being cautios. Has anybody else started on baby aspirin in their 2nd trimester? I was not put on this in the begininig like most women.
