Hey Steph, great job on the updates.

I have been more of a lurker again lately. Not sure why. I actually got pretty depressed after hearing Sanda's news. I just didn't feel like posting anything. I know it sounds weird, but all you chicks are close to me in a way.

Anywho...

I have been happy to read about all the ER's and ET's, the faint lines and the beta #'s! Great job ladies. This process is so overwhelming, and I can comfortably tell you that you all have helped this guy out a lot.

Our "due date" is July 15th, but our OB says that she will not go past 38 weeks, so best case scenario we will meet these dudes around the end of June or early July.
Our next appointment is next Thursday (4/2). US and OB appt. on the same day. Excited to see those guys again. I really wanted to spring for a 4D but since our US's do 3D my DW said lets wait until after next weeks appt to see what kind of pics and video we get. If we are not happy, then we can go. I think they said twins are good between 24-28 weeks for the 3D/4D US's.

Guysperspective- I totally understand sitting back and reading w/out posting.... you get involved in people's lives on here and you feel their joy and sorrow.
I just wanted to check and make sure all was still well in your neck of the woods. Thanks for the updates on everything! We will all be anxious to get your updates on the appt. and U/S next Thursday!

Even though I have only been posting for about a month now, I was a lurker for at least 4 months before that. I do think that all of us feels a bond to one another due to the circumstances. I think this is a very positive thing, and a great emotional support system.
I look forward to reading each and every post put on here!

Take Care and jot us a note or two every now and then!

praying-Thanks for the support! I was reading your signature line..I hope you don't mind me asking, but do they have any idea why your previous cycles resulted in BFN (if it's none of my business, definitely feel free to tell me so!)

Hopein09 - I had a low beta BFP in December, which means that at least one embryo implanted. But then the levels went down, so technically it was a miscarriage but I prefer not to think of it as such.

My RE says that proves that I am capable of getting pregnant, but that I just have not had a genetically viable embryo.

I am trying to keep the faith, and praying that this time will be the time!

Checking in

Meghan – CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am just so happy for you!!!!

Wishing – you take all the time you want to rest and give those little ones a chance to nestle in! I am glad that one more made it to freezing, that is great news!

Jak40 – Congratulations on taking that next step. I am so glad your donor is available. It will all feel more real now. Remember we are here to cheer you on!

Twilight – The progesterone is more painful but only because it is thick and can put a knot in your behind. When I apply heat afterward, it seems to help.

Hopein09 – Since the PIO is thick heating it up makes it easier to inject. A friend of mine is a nurse and so I go to her house every night for my PIO shots. (I let my DH give me the Delestrogen shot every third day) She said that stretching the skin with one hand and giving the shot with another helps.

Faith1186 – Congrats on getting started on PIO! How exciting the ET is tomorrow! I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

LGB – Thinking about you . . . .

Ballerinagirl – you must be getting so excited! The time is near!

Godiva – See the Lupron was a breeze, it’s going to be smooth sailing!

to everyone!

Kate and Dude's Perinatalogist Appt:
The girls are growing well. They are both almost 3lbs. each. They were not very cooperative and we didn't get any good pics (even on 3D). So they are going to make us wait to see what they look like.

My cervix, on the other hand, is shortening (he gave a number but I can't remember). So I am to be alert for contractions. The hard part is that I don't feel contractions even when the hospital monitors said I was having them. I don't know how I will know if I have any???

Kate and Dude- sounds like the appt. wasn't too eventful except for the news on the cervix. Those stubborn little girls.... double trouble!!!

Will being on bedrest help to try to deter any action such as contractions? When is your next appt?

I am sure you really enjoyed getting out of the house for a few hours! Hang tight and keep those contractions from causing problems!
Thanks for updating us, now I am off to bed!

Faith- Extra prayers for a great retrieval Friday!

HAPPY, HAPPY FRIDAY TO EVERYONE!

Everyone- I am thinking of you guys and checking in daily, love to hear everyone's news- especially the good stuff!

Godiva- Thanks for checking- we have no news. I have been lurking and also spending a lot of time in the one place where I am super fertile- my garden. (I am hoping that my green thumb is a nuture vs nature thing.)

Smiles! Happy Friday everyone!

Kate-Glad to hear the girls are doing well. How often will you have to go for cervix checks?

Praying- I'm pretty sure my RE prescribed progesteron in ethyl oleate. I'm glad to hear that it isn't too bad. I will definitely remember the tip about pulling the skin tight.

Faith-Thinking about you today. Please let us know how the ET goes. Fingers crossed your donor gives you lots of great eggs!

Ballerinagirl-It sounds like you are doing great! Congrats on your smooth twin pregnancy. We're all anxious to see pics of the little ones.

LGB-Can't wait to hear how everything went for you!

Jen403-I say ICSI for sure. My DH doesn't have any sperm issues either and my RE does ICSI on donor eggs regardless. I guess it's the extra insurance. They also did it with our IVF cycle with my eggs.

I'M STILL WAITING FOR AF!!!!!

Twilight-Depending on the pill you are taking it will either be a round dispenser or rectangular/square. You will start the first one on your start day and then take them in order. If it is a square or rectangular pack, then start with the one on the top row, far left and go across each row week by week. There are usually about 7 at the end (probably your green ones) that are sugar pills and that is when you would get your period. I'm not sure which brand you are on, so I would double check with your RE just to make sure.

Good luck and I hope this helps!
