Janet- Congrats! How exciting to see that
on all those sticks. I can understand turning into a POAS junkie after those results. Also, good idea about calling the nurse. Why should you have to wait that long? You are !!!!!!!!!

Donna, welcome to the group. You'll find lots of wisdom and support here. I'm so very sorry to hear this cycle was so disappointing for your and your dh. Have you learned what may have caused such poor results? Had the donor had success in previous cycles? Take time to heal and grieve and when you're ready for your next step, we'll be here to cheer you on... Take care.

I guess Doctor knows best... You are going to have a HUGE beta at 20dpER! Maybe you should go buy stock in the HPT companies for all the POASing you're going to be doing this week :-)

Tia - I love your new signature! Was that a Kate special? Nice work Kate!
Kristen - I saw you posted in response to Jennifer's questions on another thread, and asked to be let know if donor egg expenses are tax deductible. They are, thankfully! Here's a link to a letter ruling from the IRS explaining that donor expenses are deductable as medical expenses under IRC section 213 (here the person was trying to use their flexible spending account for an egg donor, but it's the same code section that allows us to deduct it from our taxes). http://www.resolveofhawaii.org/PDF%2...deductible.pdf This should be very helpful for all of us when we're doing our 2008 taxes! Janet - I can't believe you have to wait a week - but Kristen's right, you'll just get to have a huge honkin' beta! -B

Tia, your name thingy is absolutely adorable.
Good job, Kate!Okay, okay, okay, now I have to ask this question... Since they've started you on birth control pills and you have your donor, why aren't they doing your transfer until July? Is it so that your cycles are in sync? They told me, (because I no longer cycle), that once I'm matched, it's going to be one quick cycle to bring me around to wherever the donor is, and then right down to busines. (Hey, I could be transferring in July too!)

Hi Tia - It was my RE decision. I wanted to put back 3 but he said 2 because of the quality of them. Keep in mind these were from a 23 year old donor. When I did it with my eggs, they did not even hesitate to put 4 back. The chances of it working with my eggs was only about 10%. With donor eggs it is approx 70%.
Have a good day!
