Dawnm- Today's u/s I am sure was bittersweet with not seeing the other sac develop much, I wouldn't however count out the second one just yet. I have read plenty of places where sometimes the other sac just implanted late, etc. You know you have one baby growing strong, which is awesome! Hang in there til next week's u/s and then see where things stand. It is still fantastic that you are indeed pregnant. Try to let the positive thoughts crowd out your sadness.

Donna- Congrats on an u/s showing one little bean! Can't wait for another one to see how much it's grown!

Hope- Great beta #! I am so happy you now have an u/s appt date! You will see so much with it being a 7week one.

Helene- Glad you saw the growing bean at your u/s today! December is going to be an extra busy month for you!

LGB- Sorry to hear that it didn't all pass yet.... is there a chance it still will? Can you take the pill that was suggested, or will you have to have a D & C? I have had both D& C and hysterocopy.... definately think the hysteroscopy is best since they have a camera to see what they are doing and make sure it is gone! You may want to ask about the hysteroscopy/D& C together. That is what I have had done... Keep us posted! We are wanting this to go fast for you too!

Donna- Try not to worry about your progesterone dropping. Do you know what the # was? The good thing is that it was checked and they are adjusting the dosage so that should correct any potential problems.

AFM- Not alot new, last night I was having some pains in the bikini area, but by this morning they had stopped. No signs of bleeding, so you have to figure all is well. I didn't sleep well, so hoping tonight will be more restful!

Ladies, thank you so much for your detailed responses to my questions. I needed to know that I'm on the right path. You've provided more than just answers. You have provided hope too. I will do everything to establish good rapport with my new RE and new OBGYN. I didn't have an OBGYN in the past, so all the tests were run by the old RE. I may still return to the old RE for local monitoring of my cycle if she has time; I think she might be offended that I've gone to a new RE though.

Helene, I've never made FET actually ... Even with the fluid in the uterus, they implanted all 4 embs, the embs were so bad they'd never survive freezing. BTW, congrats on graduating to your regular OB.

jak40, you've posed a question that I've tried to put out of my mind. I haven't set up a cycle yet with my donor (well, the one I have in mind), but I kind of like her already. I wonder sometimes how her life is going, what's her name, what's her real identity, and I hope she has a wonderful life. But I'd be terrified to meet her. I would feel a really strong bond with her if I actually successfully carry a pregnancy. But if my DH felt that way too, I would feel really uncomfortable.

sunshine, I always kind of knew Santa wasn't real, because my parents were so excited about the presents they would get us that they'd spill the beans. So, by the time they told us Santa wasn't real, it was like "yeah, okay, as long as I still get presents." DH's family had a similar story. That's why DH and I think it would be easier if we never kept it a secret.

Godiva - My progesterone level today was 9.9. Last Monday it was 30. We have not changed any dosage of PIO. Quite shocked at the change in numbers. But I am glad my RE caught it and is making the necessary steps to bring it back up.

Also - glad to hear others whose number flucuated and everything turned out fine. I need to stop worrying so much, it really is all out of my hands and the doctors know what they are doing.

My next u/s I believe is Monday.

Hi Karini,

I had a similar situation with my donor. They retrieved 5 eggs only 4 fertilized. 2 were transfered on day 3. I have a healthy baby boy that was born in December and I have 2 snowbabies. I know we all expect to have alot of embies from our donor. It is not about how many, it is really about the quality of the eggs. I wish you all the best!

Karini- Our ED gave us 4 eggs, 3 fertilized, we transferred all 3 and I am now pregnant with triplets! I was really disappointed to hear how many eggs were retrieved but as others have said it really comes down to quality. Sending lots of and !!! Best wishes for a successful ET!

I haven't had time to catch up yet, I've been so consumed by this m/c stuff...sorry I haven't been much support everyone.

So, my nurse went ahead and scheduled a D & C for this Wed. with my RE, so I have to drive back there tomorrow afternoon again! We just got back from there on Friday night! Oh well, need to get this over with bc my beta is still really high, 9,000ish, and I want to move forward. For some reason, my body ins't releasing the sac...bleeding has subsided.
I will ask about hysteroscopy with D & C together.
RE doesn't like Cytotec, and at this point, I want the D & C to get this overwith!

AFM: After a great report yesterday (beta, etc) I had some bleeding last night. I called the nurse on call and she said to just take it easy and that with such a high beta number it is possible it is multiples and if so, bleeding is very common. I am not having any cramping and it has slowed down a lot, so I'm trying to just stay calm. I have to call my RE this AM to give the update from last night. Will keep everyone posted.

I had the transfer yesterday. I went with the dr. and embryologist's recommendation to transfer 2. I feel good about it so far so we'll see! Now it's 2WW.

My pregnancy test is set for 5/27. I am away until 5/26 so the nurse told me I could do a home pregnancy test if I want on 5/25. Does that sound right to you ladies?

"Beta" - Does that refer to this first pregnancy test? I thought that's what it meant?

Browneyes - what was your outcome?
