Hi Everyone!
I know I don't comment much here (I frequent the "Singles Trying to Conceive" board mostly) but I did want to put in some words of encouragement and hopes for success to those in the 2ww and those soon cycling. It's a very exciting time!
You'll see from my signature that it's been good news. But the best news - something I really struggled with and now want to share - is that I decided on an eSET and last night I got my first  on a FRER (faint as can be but there). It's gotten slightly darker since then. For some background, I didn't make the decision of an eSET lightly. But the primary decider was the fact that my clinic uses vitrification for freezing and the success rates of their FETs reduce to 80% for 2 frosties transferred vs. 85% for 2 fresh blasts transferred. But, as a single woman, I didn't want a twin pregnancy and the rate of twins is high. So far, so good. I'm hoping it all works out and I can eventually donate the remaining 14 high quality blasts. Lurking here has been a lifesaver for me so often, you can only imagine. And hanging on the success of two ladies on this board that also did an eSET was so helpful to me when I had doubts that I'd made the right decision. Again, wishing you all and healthy bouncing babies!

thank you for finding my words helpful. I felt that it is difficult to get the intense emotions across. I also wanted to mention that it does not matter how you physically feel when you go through the process. I had cramps for the first 4 months of my pregnancy. At times, they were extreme. When I started lupron, I had cramps. When I had my transfer, I had cramps and they never stopped. I was sure that I was not pregnant and was absolutely floored when the HPT said prego! Also, they say don't get stressed as it can affect the sticking of the embaby. However, I was totally stressed and freaking out all the time and everything was fine. (not that I recommend being a stressful person). I am feeling crampy now and the only comfort is knowing that although I have cramps, it is possible for the process to be successful.

Mock Cycle Complete
Went in today and found out that everything was on target! Both blood and US looked great. Said lining was excellent and was exactly where they wanted it to be.
I get my access code by the end of next week! I will keep you all posted. Best wishes to everyone and good results!

Me: 40 - unexplained infertility, LOR due to age DH: 29 - infrequent low motility, low count, sometimes perfect TTC 7 Years Jasmine, shih-tzu 10Linkin, 2 Year old, long eye-lashed, crested gecko All of 06-7/07 Clomid and insemination off and on...no results. First Round IVF 2/08: Only two eggs...of the two retrieved both were mature and both fertilized. Doc stated "highest quality", she said we are lucky people. :-) HPT 2/13: Then a week later blood test!Suffered an early mc. Had several cysts that prevented more attempts in 08. IVF-ICSI delayed due to dominant egg, Changed to IUI 2/16/09 HPT 3/1 ON TO DONOR CYCLE! Begin Lupron 9/21/09 Transfer 10/22/09 2 A quality embabies transferred First Beta 11/5/09 1,979!!!!!! #2 Beta 11/9/09 8,212 1st US 11/17 they see one baby! 6 weeks 1 day PG Baby due July 11, 2010 |

Jak...wow ! Your dauaghter is wonderful. I do agree with Stefanie though on going with the tried and true donor. What if your daughter doesnt have kids for years and years and then is unable to herself? It could be sticky. I am excited for you to move forward! I wish you much success!
Faith - Congratulations on your good news!! Getting out and moving around must have been wonderful!! Jane- I am so thrilled for you! Congratulations on your ! I look forward to following your successful journey! Rachel- good luck!! AFM-Our consult went well. Its so hard to pull out the Dr's true thoughts and best advice - They seem so concerned with not giving you an opinion just statistics and options. I really get it- I dont need the stats - We are going to use our 2 frozen embies. I could not get how strong the quality is on both- I was told the one embie was a 3AB. Any idea what that means? THe other he was uncertan of and will chk and get back to us. He did feel that if this cycle is unsuccessful that it would be logical to try again perhaps with a differnet donor. Our donor produced only 9 mature eggs and only 4 responded favorably to fertilization. I am not too optimistic about success with FET and am worried about paying for a new donor. sigh... on the positive side, we are aking out 2.5 year old to see fireworks for the first time. He is excited and keeps saying, I won't be scared mommy-I want see fireworks! I cannot wait ! Should be awfully fun! Happy Friday eveyone!

OK, so I know I keep saying this, but I'm really excited about SS. I can't wait to find out whose name I have, can't wait to go shopping for her, can't wait to hear everybody's posts about what they got, can't wait to get my first package. Geez! I'm such a dork.
Blue- Have you asked your RE about delayed periods? Is this going to after your ER or ET dates? Is that what you're worried about? Jane- Congrats!!! That is such exciting news! Wishing you and easy and eventless nine months. (Well, except the big event at the end.) What is eSET? Final- Again, thank you so much for the words of wisdom and experience. Rachel- Congrats! That is great news! You're really ready to get started now. Karen- Hope your 2yo enjoys the fireworks and isn't scared. I'm sorry they didn't give you more feedback at your meeting. I think sometimes Drs are reluctant to recommend a course of action b/c if that course doesn't work, then they can be blamed. Are you going to go ahead with the FET? JD- Hope you're having fun at the winery. Igloo- ??? Jak- I'm sure you're very busy and have lots going through your head right now, but I'm anxious to hear what you're thinking, even if you haven't made a decision. New and Anxious
Hi Everyone!
I am new to this forum and I have been GRASPING for support and what a great fourm to have found so many people going through similar situations!! My story: After many failed IUI's and 7 years of trying we have decidied to use donor eggs (me-low reserve). I am currently 5dp5dt. Our donor had 17 beautiful eggs, 15 fertilized, 7 to blast, 2 transferred and 5 snowbabies!! I lost my strength and did a HPT yesterday (4dp5dtt)and it was negative . I KNOW that was too soon and now I'm praying that it was a false negative. Has anyone recieved a negative and then positive?I have been experincing strange fatigue and some pressure in my abdomen (period like). I'm taking daily progesteron shots (ouch!) and 4 estrogen patches every other day. I'm so confused if the syptoms are related to meds or if I could possibly be pregnant. My BETA is Tuesday 7/7. I'm thinking I may break down and do another HPT Sunday.... aaahhhh. Someone PLEASE give me some advice!!! |

Rachel- Glad mock cycle went so well.... hooray! KUP as you move fwd... we want to be here to support and cheer you on every step of the way!
Karen- Stay on the RE to get back to you on the other frostie! I agree w/ Pack with some docs not wanting to say too much for fear of being blamed if it doesn't work. Did you ask about the rate of survival in their lab for thaw? Just another ? to maybe ask. Guess you won't know anyway until you do it.... did you get any timeline on when you could FET? I hope soon! Have fun at fireworks... I still don't like the 'boom' that goes along w/ them and I am not 2!!! KUP! I heard from Megwalsh- She is now 19 weeks along! Yeah, Meghan!!! I'll add her due date when I update the list! AFM- I am finally starting to feel like I am off of work for a while, our schools got out so late in June and then 2 days later left for the NYC work trip. I need to get some projects done around here while I am off, will do my best not to stress too much about the amt. (or lack there of) I accomplish. I wanted to reiterate what Pack said yesterday.... I couldn't have made it through all of these ups and downs without you all! Thanks for being such a wonderful group of 'friends' who are caring and supportive (and make me laugh)! Know that everyone of you is special and makes a difference in others lives! I am excited for Secret sister as well!!!

! I got my bfp on hpt at 7dp5dt. I think Godiva did hers around 5dp5dt and had a negative, but then a day or two later got her bfp. Hang in there, there is still hope! KarenS-Did your RE say when you could do your FET. I am ready to cheer you on. On the FET board there are a ton of success stories. Please KUP. Enjoy the fireworks with your little one. Faith-Glad your appt went well. I'm sure it's a relief to know that you can resume normal activities w/o having to worry as much. I did get the doppler yesterday and tried it last night. I'm pretty sure I found the baby's heartbeat. I was confused at first b/n mine and baby's, but I think I eventually figured it out. It's funny, now that I have the doppler I don't feel like I need to use it. I think it's just nice peace of mind to know I have it if I want it. Rachel38-Congrats on moving on to the next step. It sounds like I'm going to be very busy cheering everyone along these next few months. Jane-Congrats! KUP when you get your beta on the 7th! igloo-thinking about you. I know you'll kup when you get your bfp! Stephanie-I hope AF shows for you soon. My EDD is jan 5th, though the baby was measuring a few days ahead of schedule at last visit. I will let you know if anything changes. tbonus-I'm glad you are enjoying the mtns. I know I missed a lot of personals..will try to catch up on more later. Happy 4th!

Transferred 2 blasts and have two frosties! 4/27 w/ HPTBetas 4/30:249 5/4:1953 5/11:19314 5/20 U/S Saw and heard one strong bean 6/11 baby measured right on target. 6/22, 6/25 First OB and peri appt. all was great. 7/24,7/27 Second OB and peri appt. for more good news. Peri appt was perfect, we're having a girl!!! 8/20 20 week peri appt., 8/27 OB appt All is great! 9/21 (OB),9/24 next peri appt (25 weeks). keep the good news coming! 10/19 (OB), 10/22 (peri) grow baby, grow! 11/6(OB), 11/16(OB), 11/19 (peri)-all great! OB: 11/30, 12/15, 12/21, 12/28
