Jane - I think it is called pregnancy brain. At least that is the excuse I would use.
LGB - Beta is Thursday. I think Tuesday will be POAS day. In case it isn't what we are hoping for I would like to be some what prepared. Is that possible? Karens - The fact the you didn't laugh is impressive. Not sure if I could have done the same. Godiva - You are right on the chocolate. Once I open it away it goes. Just one more little bite. Oh, now it is crooked, one more little bite........ Igloo- Please keep us posted tomorrow. I will be thinking of you.

Faith- Long story. I had gall stones in week 27 and was hospitalized for a week while they decided on whether to perform surgery or not (I did not have them removed until after the babies were born). They monitored the babies while I was there and found I was having contractions. I never felt them though. So they tested me for FFN (fetal fibronectin) and I was positive. That indicated a 70% chance of delivering in the next 2 weeks. My OB also did an internal and felt one of the babies' heads down low. So when I got released I was home on bedrest until week 36. I couldn't even sit up straight in bed. She wanted me at about a 45 degree angle. I went into preterm labor at 31 weeks 2 days. So my bedrest didn't last that long after all.

Personals tomorrow...but Kate brought up an interesting topic. (Sorry if TMI, but I'm a waxer, not a shaver, so I don't groom for Dr appts.)
But I have two funny wax stories about pregnant friends. One started waxing while she was pregnant, when the baby bump got too big for her to self-maintain. So, she arranged her waxing schedule so that her waxes were right before her monthly OB appts. One month, she and the waxer got super chatty and she didn't realize until she got home that one side had gotten more waxed than the other. The next day she went back on her lunch break to get things "evened out" before her OB appt that afternoon. Another friend had her wax appt for the Friday before her due date. So, on the Tuesday before her appt, she started having contractions and changed her appt so that she could be waxed before delivery. It's all about priorities, ladies. ![]()

Oh the things we do to look pretty. Waxing before appointments is funny. Personally I'm a shaver of the bikini lines. One would think after all of my appt. for infertility treatments I wouldn't be shy and would try waxing but no I would be too embarressed and I don't think I could handle the pain.

I would love to wax and have the long lasting effects of it. But I am also scared of the pain. Is it true that it hurts less over time?

Pack- You are a brave girl...I've always thought about waxing, but as Lovereilly said, I think I am afraid of the pain.... or is it just painful the first time??? OK, if I am asking TMI.... let me know.... we have had some funny topics today, but some very funny stories!
I agree... it's all about priorities: I broke my ankle 3 yrs. ago and it was in the early a.m. before work. I crawled/scooted across the house to get to the bathroom to sit and shave my legs on the floor before going to the ER! Reilly- In your sig. it says June 25,26,27... do you mean July??? I am confused! Bluebutterfly- GOOD LUCK at your ET! Sending you lots of sticky vibes for a perfect transfer!

Godiva- I sent you a PM.
As for waxing, it really doesn't hurt too bad. It stings a bit but then goes away fairly quickly. It does last much longer than shaving. I would certainly suggest giving it a try. It is a bit uncomfortable to have a stranger working on that area. But to me nothing was stranger than my ET with a nurse, doctor, u/s tech, DH and the brightest light I've ever seen pointing right at my area while my bladder was about to burst. If you have been there and done that, waxing is a piece of cake.

Hello! It has been a long, long time since I've posted here. My successful ET was in December and I wanted to give you an update to my "two beans" status. Evan Andrew and Charlie Ryan were born on Mother's Day 2009. They were born at 25 weeks (my water broke, then I had a prolapsed cord). Fast forward 10 weeks later, and both boys are doing fantastically well and hopefully we'll start talking about when they can come home the first part of August. I'm so glad to see the many success stories that continue here!

Ok here is a concern for me as the reality of the situation sets in and I start to panic. MY original ER date was 7/23 with another lining check on 7/21. Due to my donor's superb response ER has been moved to 7/21 and my lining check is 7/20. Well now as my mind starts to race....what happens if.... my lining is not where it needs to be? Then what happens as there is no time to correct it since progesterone has to start tomorrow regardless of what the lining measurement is. This of course will decrease our chances of success greatly and there will be nothing we can do and no time to change it. I realize that I should have been considering that this was a possibility when she was responding so well. I am glad we got some swimmers on ice last friday. I am hoping we don't need them though. I guess I will find out sooner than later. I guess I will have all nite to consider the worse case scenarios.
