Thanks everyone!
Shelley- I won't hear again until Monday (I hope) if the embies aren't doing well, they will call me Sat am for a 3dt. I really don't want to be obsessing over all this all weekend. Sometimes not knowing everything is better for me. I will be extremely happy if we have two to transfer and 2-4 to freeze. This should be possible with 17.

I'm PUPO!!! Girls, I'm so excited and I want to share my positive energy with you... We are thrilled to say we transferred 1 beautiful blastocyst and froze..........

FOUR blastocysts! OMG I'm still in shock. This is exactly what I'd hoped for in this cycle. The transfer went smoothly and I'm rooted to the couch for the next few days. My dh asked a great question that I'm SO glad about... He wanted to know how the embies from this DE cycle compare to the ones from our past 3 fresh cycles with my eggs. Even my dh and I could see how improved the embies were (which was kind of easy since we had blasts on our first cycle and only 8-cell embies on our last two but our DE blasts are so much better than our first cycle). It was strange - it really affected me seeing how different the embies looked for several reasons: 1) I am even more hopeful now and 2) I have no doubt I made the right decision to go for DE. That second realization is so validating - I felt like a weight had been lifted off me... So in case you have lingering doubts like I did, know with surety that you are doing the right thing.

So, now the 2ww... Although it's really a 1.5ww. My 1st beta is a week from tomorrow and the follow up is 3 days later. Because I have HCG in my system from the boosters, I won't know anything really until Mar 4...

Thanks for all your well wishes and support!

My appointment with the doctor went great. It was at 8:30 pm and we did not get home until 11:30. That is a late night for 'ol prego' here!!!

I was a bit nervous because it was a new doctor. We were warned that he did not talk much and he didn't but he did answer our questions. I was totally bummed that he did not take any good pictures. I guess that is what it is like when insurance is paying for the visit. We had been seeing our RE and paying out of pocket so I guess that is why we got great 3D pics and a DVD with each u/s.

The good news is the babies are all doing great and they all passed the NT scan!! Yippeeee!!! Part of the scan was actually hilarious. We have a Jumping Jack in the bunch. The one baby was bouncing around with the arms and legs in the air. It was really quiet and then it happened and my DH said "wow did you see that?!!" I started to laugh and said "we got a jumper" The doctor did not laugh. I wish he got a picture of that!! I still laugh thinking about it.

All 3 babies have good heartbeats and they are measuring very well for their age. Yesterday I was 11 wks 2 days and they were measuring around 11 wks 6 days. They are now 2 inches long!! I see my RE one last time next Thursday. Maybe I will get some cool pictures!! My perinatologist is going to follow me closely every 2 wks or 1 wks if required. yeah!

This looks like a gray blob but it really is baby C. Next time I will ask ahead of time for better pictures. I assumed I was going to get some but actually he was going to throw this one out. I thought how dare you throw out a picture of my baby. heehee Anyways I am just so happy they are doing great!!

Kay, Monday is coming soon!! It is going to be a great day, I just know it!!

It was amazing to see the little ones inside of you. The blurring picture really did not capture what we saw. Seeing the arms and legs was out of this world. The last u/s they were just little buds. I asked my doctor about little pulling feelings on my left side and he said that it was the uterus stretching. That is the side baby B is on. I was relieved to hear the little pains were a good sign of the babies growing!

Try and relax this weekend!

Shelley - thank you SO much for sharing your story and pic with us. What a blessing you have been given! It's such an incredible experience - I cannot wait to be at that point, and hearing from you makes it sound more probable for some reason.

Thanks for the well wishes - hoping for a BFP!

Joining you...

I already posted on the April IVF group, but thought I'd post here too.

We had our second opinion consult yesterday. The youngish female doc told us that she thought she might try one more round of IVF with my own eggs using the Lupron microdose flare protocol, since I am under 38. That is of course, she said if time/emotional resources aren't a factor. She also felt that donor eggs are an excellent option.

Since we are anxious to start our family, DH and I are going to proceed with DE with my sister as donor. We have our recipient consult this week on Thursday, and after that, my sister will have her consult and screening. All four of us (me, DH, sis, and her DH) are scheduled to meet with a counselor in late March. DH and I meet with her first, then sis and her DH on their own, and then all four of us. After that, we are hoping to start the cycle in late March/early April.

We are hoping that using donor eggs will finally bring us a

Hi everyone. So busy we are! I have to say, every time I check in here, you all make me smile.

Lauren. That's so wonderful that you're considering DE with your sister's eggs. I know three kids that are from their auntie's eggs. It's really wonderful. I'm sorry for the path you've had to go down to get here, but it seems like you're in a great, hopeful place.

Shelley - Wow! It's great that your little guys are all doing so well. And the jumping jacks are great, though I hope for your sake she takes smaller leaps as it gets more crowded in there (in you, I should say). Too bad the dr's not the best with bedside manner, but he gave you such an insight into their little world. I'm so, so happy for you.

Kay - I hope your birthday fest is going well and that you've maintained that secret smile knowing about your little guys growing in the lab.

And Kristen - You stay put, m'dear! I love that the 2 week wait isn't quite that. You've only got a little over a week to go. And the insight into the difference between our embies and those of our young'n donors was really interesting. Thanks for that.

For DP and I, we're hoping to write our thank you note this weekend. I want us to write it when not in the midst of counting follicles and measuring lining. And we've really only got a little time before then.

I hope everyone's having a great weekend. Lots of growth, lots of babies and baby dust. B

Paranoia and impatience got the best of me...I called to move my 2nd beta up a day. So now I'll have my first beta this Saturday (they won't call after this one because it's a Saturday..ugh) and then I'll do a repeat beta on Monday. I realize that the Mon beta may still be inconclusive, but I cannot wait until Tues; I think I'll lose my mind!

UGH - this rollercoaster sucks.

Kay, thinking of you - you're probably leaving soon for your ET. So excited for you and looking forward to great news!
