Hate PIO? ...Try Prog in Ethyl Oleate
Hi ladies -
If you have any adverse affects (who doesn't??) from PIO (Prog in Oil, usually olive or sesame), you do have an alternative! Request Prog in Ethyl Oleate. It's just as effective (some say even more effective) as PIO and it's in a fluid that's easier for your body to absorb, so it causes fewer lumps and bruises. Because the fluid is so much thinner than any of the oils, you can also get away with a smaller gauge needle. I use a 1" 25 gauge vs. the 1.5" 22 gauge for PIO I used in earlier IVF cycles (higher number gauge is a smaller needle). I hope this helps! Kristen
