so i have to say that I'm feeling totally different w/this pregnancy.
I have alot more symptoms...alot more nausea, boobs hurt alot more, hungry all the time..and most importantly Im not cramping constantly like i did before. last time i had AF like cramps all the time..even up until i miscarried at 12 weeks..and they were strong. I have a better feeling this time around.

Christin - I've heard that morning sickness can be a good thing (though I'll be just fine if I can skate through all that). I've also heard if you have a lot of morning sickness than it is most likely a girl (old wive's tale???). I'm guessing that it has to do with double the hormones or something...but maybe it's an indication that you are having a girl too! It will be interesting to test the theory.

I haven't felt horrible yet, but I don't expect too just yet. I have been having some light headedness, a lot of hot flashes and a little bit of nausea. I have a food aversion to eggs suddenly, and I love eggs!

Tina - Good luck at your beta today! Can't wait to hear the good numbers!

My first beta is tomorrow so I'm super excited for tomorrow to get here!

I had eggs last night..they were yummy!

I never had morning sickness w/the last pregnancy..so im taking it as a very good sign. I'm also very hot!! I cant sleep at night because i wake up just sweating..its so gross LOL.

Christin - when did all the symptoms start for you? My bbs are sore, but can be more sore off/on throughout the day (not consistently really sore). Smells are a little more noticable, but no nausea yet. I am having some cramping, but not AF like cramps, but like that feeling before the cramps start and it is off/on. I just got back from the gym, and I was a little crampy during my workout. It made me nervous...but I thought you could be doing normal exercise? I did this before I got pregnant. I just tried to take it a little more easy and I think that helped. Are you guys exercising? I just don't want to so anything to screw this up!

I would say that my symptoms really kicked in about 3 days ago.. My boobs hurt a little before then but they hurt to much to touch now..and the nausea kicked in on friday as well..and it seems even worse this morning..I dont feel like i need to throw up ..just kind of queasy alll the time.

I have cramps too but its more of an ache..and they were more common right when i found out..and now maybe just a couple times a day. Its ok to exercise just to not overdue it..I think they say brisk walking or swimming is ideal. I go for walks but thats about all i was doing before i got preg.

Thanks, Christin! So you were just under 5 weeks when the symptoms really started then? So I guess I have a few more days to enjoy the less symptoms! It sounds like the cramps you had/have are similar to mine. I may just take it even more easy in my class tomorrow...it's just hard when you're not used to it. If I get crampy again tomorrow maybe I'll just have to start walking for a while. I just don't want to stop exercising if possible as I really don't want to gain a lot of weight. I hope you feel better!

Yeah i wouldnt stop exercising. I think most of it is your not supposed to get to hot, thats why they say swimming or walking. everywhere i read it says to continue exericising since it helps during the birth and afterwards.
Im actually a little shocked how fast my symptoms started. Before i was just really tired and my boobs hurt..this queasy stuff was not expected so soon!! LOL

Gosh...we should be on IM or something...we just keep posting back and forth! that's what I am reading too...thanks for the confirmation on the exercise thing. Symptoms at 5 weeks must have been shocking. I wouldn't have expected that either. I was shocked last night when my boobs were super sore, but they're not as bad this morning. I just figured any symptoms have to be a good sign, as things are progressing. I go for my 2nd beta tomorrow morning, so that will make me feel better when I see those numbers rising! It's still hard to believe this is happening! I am so excited!

thats what i tell myself too..that as long as the symptoms are getting worse it must mean my little bean is growing!
Im still in shock too... I've taken TEN hpt's..and i still want to take more just to see that 2nd line again LOL

My beta today is 91.5, I asked the nurse what is enough, she said they like to see over 50. Two years ago I had 47 and it was chemical pregnancy, stopped in a week. It, however, also depends on exactly how many days after ER you test, I think.

Christin - 10 tests! That is awesome! I still have yet to take a HPT...I want to so I can see the 2 lines for once, but have been having to get up so many times in the middle of the night to use the restroom the past few nights that I just haven't done it! Hopefully tomorrow!

to all the Kristens (and Christins) and Mia! The March thread seems to be really filling up. I was reading everyone's symptoms and mine haven't been that bad. I've been really tired and have heartburn. They say heartburn is a form or morning sickness which I did not know. I've had weird food aversions too. I love chocolate and now I can't go near it. I've been craving healthy food instead. I'm a little nervous that my symptoms aren't stronger since everyone seems to link that with the progress of the baby. I am only about 4 1/2 weeks though and I'm can be somewhat of over-reactor.

Also glad to hear I can exercise. I've been trying to walk but it's been sooooo hot hear.

I have my second beta tomorrow and I'm really nervous. Good luck Kristen and passionscientist on your beta tomorrow!
