Hey everyone! I had my final sono with my wonderful RE today. I cried when she hugged me. Of course I'm a ball of emotions these days anyway! The HB was a strong 174 and I got to see the fingers flexing and pointing as well as the feet/legs kicking! It is SO amazing! I'm measuring right on target, 10w5d! Almost knocking down that 12wk door! YEA!!!

Christin - I have always considered using cloth diapers. My mom is going to be the babysitter when I go back to work so I am considering discussing with her since she will be dealing with diaper changing a lot more than me. Knowing her, she is old-fashioned (probably where I get it from) and we will go with cloth. I was interested to see your comments about the diff types of cloth ones that don't need pinning! I gotta look into that! Any websites you can point me to?

tamtam - I'm definitely on the fluffy side and my belly is just a bunch of mush right now. I haven't gained any weight since my BFP but I can tell that my waist is thickening or getting wider or whatever you want to call it. My pants still fit but only if left unbuttoned. I keep saying to myself that I will get those bellabands but I'm pretty good at forgetting things these days and that seems to get caught up in all that!

As far as medications, I'm not on anything and never was so sorry I can't provide any info on that subject.

Christin - I rented the doppler after reading your info on it. I have tried it 2-3 times but I was in the 9th week so haven't been able to hear anything but my HB. I'm hoping to try again tonight so we'll see! I can't wait to actually hear it while in our own house!

DH got a traveling job but thankfully it's only around TX and not CO as previously thought. This coming week he will be gone Sun-Wed so don't know if that will be the same schedule each week. I don't like not knowing what his schedule is from one week to the next but we will just have to make due. At least he's working, right?

I can also feel a hardness in my stomach when I am bending over.

Today I had my second ultrasound and everything looks perfect. The baby is measuring at 9weeks. It is amazing to see and hear the heartbeat. It was 160. I could see arms and legs too.

I am on Progesterone shots and suppositories. My Dr said that I would need them until I was 12 weeks. He said that the placenta would take over producing progesterone at 10 weeks, but he would keep me on them 2 extra weeks just to be safe. I go back in 2 weeks for a third ultrasound then he will release me to my OB.

I still am in a bit of shock that I am actually pregnant and that the ultrasound was of a baby inside of me!

Kimnobie - as far as pets being so important, I couldn't agree more! I have a Rottie/Lab mix named Red. She turned 12 years old in June 2008. I have had her since the day she was born and actually saw her birth which was amazing. Of course that will pale in comparison to the birth of our human baby but I agree that there is NO WAY I will ever throw her to the wayside or ignore her or want to get rid of her. She has been there by my side, never complaining, always happy to see me, no matter what time I get home. She is the best dog ever. I've always been afraid of losing her but she's still going strong at 12 so I hope the Lord blesses her with many more years of quality life like she has right now. I have always believed the only thing that would get me past grieving for her when she's gone is to have a human baby to hold. I don't know that I will ever be able to have another dog, she is too deeply rooted in my heart! I also agree that Animal Planet is the best channel out there! Hooray for dog lovers especially!

I agree on the animals, but yeah for dog and cat lovers. I have two wonderful cats who think they are dogs. hundreds of guppies and one nice beta. I would not give up any of them. I love them with all my heart. My dog Luci passed a few years back and I still cry, she was my heart after chacha who passed a week before luci was born. I love them even when I thought I could not. U heal after such a loss, but never completely.

tina&will- there are so many good online shops for cloth diapers. Each site will have Fitted diapers (no pins) that you have to use w/a waterproof diaper cover, they also have All in Ones which are exactly like disposables just washable..pocket diapers which are like disposables but you insert a liner inside the diaper to catch the moisture and then you have the regular pre folds which now you dont even have to pin those because of how well they've made the waterproof covers.
nickisdiapers is a good site that offers lots of different kinds and info for each diaper.

My kitty ended up not having pneumonia, but rather her hyper-thyroidism is getting worse. Poor thing, we try to stuff her with high-calorie paste etc but she's still a bag of bones, and desperate for constant attention.

Funny that you mention her getting "creaky". Red has, a few times, in the last year, kinda stumbled a bit off an on if she's walking up the steps on our porch, of if he's chasing after a ball and she can't stop on a dime like she used to. I just have her take it easy and no more fetch after that for the rest of the day. I hate that she is graying SO much. The pic I posted was of her in Jan 07 so she is even more gray in the face/muzzle than that. I just look at her and I melt b/c you know how dogs look at you. I can tear up just thinking about how much I love her.

It's amazing to think that while I will not love her any less, the love that I will experience when our baby is born is going to be so much deeper, and of course, doesn't have to take away how I feel about Red.

Thanks for letting me share! DH isn't a dog lover like I am so I sometimes think I'm over-emotional when it comes to my dog but I can see I'm not alone!

Tina~Are those pics from your OB office? they are fabulous! When went our OB sono was so blurry, it just looked like a blob. What part of N Tex are you in? I live just N of Ft Worth.

I just spent time reading all the posts for the last week since I have been in CA visiting family...my dad's wife, bless her heart, bought me some maternity clothes in a medium size...ha ha...no way I could fit a medium, she was probably trying to be nice.

Christa - those pics are from my RE's office. My OB doesn't have equipment that good and oh how I wish she did! We went to C.A.R. (Center for Assisted Reproduction) in Bedford. We live in Springtown which is about 30 miles NW of FW. Where you are guys at? I work at BNSF Railway off I35 and Western Center Blvd. Know where that is?

Kristen - I am constantly more amazed the more I look at them! I think my RE (since we knew it was my last visit with her b/c she said she can't keep me after 11 weeks) took her time, rotating the view and getting everything just right so I would have these wonderful vivid pics as a keepsake! I just feel so blessed to have that inside peek this early on! It may be the last good pic we get b/c my OB doesn't have great equipment. I'm glad to share!

That sure was nice of your RE! I showed them to my husband so he could have a better idea of where our baby was at and he thought it was really cool. Thanks for sharing!
