Tmelt - please don't worry! What I would GIVE to be showing baby belly instead of my own right now! I know it's not baby b/c my belly is just flab. I cannot wait to fill out! Just consider yourself blessed! I would have loved to be showing from day one but hoping that it will happen soon enough. I'm so thrilled to be prego and I keep seeing women/girls who are really out there and I want that too but I guess I need to just be patient. All things in time.

Weebie - congrats on the great news for the twins! That is so awesome!

Jennieves - I'm so sorry that you are dealing with the m/c. My heart goes out to you and DH. I'm glad to see that you have a positive attitude so soon afterwards. I couldn't think of anything for a few months after my m/c. You are doing good it sounds like and best wishes for your next go-round. Good to hear from you.

I'm not on any of those suppositories so sorry I couldn't be any help on that.

I'm going to try out the doppler again tonight. I have tried several times over the last 2 weeks without any luck. Luckily it isn't upsetting me b/c the RE said she would be very surprised if I heard anything at all before 12 weeks and even then it might take awhile. So Christin - I am JEALOUS that you have been able to hear yours for a few weeks now!

Just got word from my DH that his job assignment has been extended so while we thought he would be back in town sometime this Thursday (and back in time for my appt on Friday), looks like it's not gonna happen for Friday but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed! I really want him to go and see the baby moving on the sono. I think it would do him wonders even though he is actually finally coming around!

In other news, my irresponsible niece had her twins (boy/girl) today. She hasn't taken care of herself nor the babies since she found out she was pregnant and it's been a constant thorn in my side. I don't know much other than their names are Whitney and William and I think the girl was 7.1lbs and the boy was 6.13...so see, even after not taking care of the pregnancy, she was blessed with twins that are the same size as singletons! Oh the irony! She had a c-section so I don't know how long before they go home. They live in OK City so I doubt I will be getting up there to see them any time soon. The worst thing was that it was just sad that she acts like she has all but forgotten her 7yr old and especially her 14mo (yes, 14mo old) since getting pregnant. Those two and the twins have different fathers and since she is with the twins father now, she pretty much ignores her first two little boys and my sister has pretty much raised them for the past year. Needless to say, I'm kinda glad they live far enough away to where I don't have to hear about all the drama.

I'm just glad that the twins were healthy and maybe I'll get to see them one day before they graduate high school.

Sorry if I sound bitter! Hope you all have a great night. I'm going to chow down on some beef flavored ramen noodles. For whatever reason, those are my best friend right now.

Although, along with all my other vivid dreams lately, last night I had a dream that I had this perfect little boy. It was such a great dream. And the most wonderful part, is waking up knowing that we are going to be holding our little one soon. Unlike it felt when I would have dreams like that and would wake up just to remind myself I wasn't pregnant yet. But anyways, sorry to ramble so much. !

DH and I are going to find out I think. We need to prepare for the pair, but if dreams are correct. I am having two girls. They looked not at all alike expect for the fact that they had curly blond/brown hair. It was great. One had violet eyes and another had my hazel eyes which are green/brown/grey. I am like a mood ring...so sad cause my mom always knew what mood I was in.

i am wearing maternity tops and my belly band. I have lost a couple of pounds, but the babies are growing so fast that my largest shorts are really tight now. I am also feeling the babies when I lay down or sit cross legged. I am also excited, but wonder if I will grow out of the clothing. I also think that plus-sized women tend to loose weight in early pgncy. Ok my own thoughts not proven.
I also have m/s in huge waves. It is amazing how strong it can be. I am trying the mix of ginger ale and a mix of sweet and salty which is supposed to help. It does sometimes.

tamtam, those dream girls sound lovely! I hope that you're right on! I also want to find out asap the genders - any surprises I can take out of this pregnancy the better. Are you losing weight? How are you managing on eating with the m/s? I'm struggling with getting anything down with my m/s, let alone following those 'for-twins' eating guidelines!

I'm back from my u/s everything looked perfect measured exactly 8w and 3days the hb is 175 this is the best birthday present ever!!!!!

tina&will, I was wondering about something you said that DH was finally coming around. I haven't read back through the thread after I joined so I was wondering if you've have the same reluctant DH problems that I have had.

I haven't been on much for two reasons - One, I'm still dealing with regular m/s and constipation and stress makes it worse, and thinking/talking about it is stressful. Two, Olympics! Total olympics junkie here.

Hey ladies! Hope you are all having a great day today. I am doing well...really starting to feel better and hope that means I am rounding the corner with this 1st trimester stuff. I am really excited to be 12 weeks tomorrow...hard to believe! Not much else to report right now...I still have over 3 weeks until my next appointment, and that feels forever away! Oh! I am having an annoying symptom. I am having sinus headaches from what I assume is sinus congestion...anyone else having this?

yeah it has been pretty quiet. Everyone must be relly busy. I just went back to work today to set up and for staff meetings. My students start on Monday... yikes!

I went to the OB on Tuesday and everything looked perfect. He had me go back on Wed. for an ultrasound and at first the baby was pretty inactive. The lady doing the US kept poking my tummy and then the baby jumped up and was bouncing all around like a bean!! It was so precious. No more ultrasounds for me until 14 weeks, that is going to be a difficult few weeks considering that I have had one once a week since the beginning.
My RE took me off of the progesterone, estrogen, and suppositories on Monday, but I've been so paranoid I haven't stopped at all. I am nuts! I am just so scared that I am not making enough on my own yet.

No sinus headaches, but I have TERRIBLE heartburn... it is horrible.

Irena - DH has been reluctant to get excited b/c we had a m/c 3 days before Christmas 2007. He has had to deal with a lot of losses in his life already and he just didn't want to get attached b/c he was afraid that this one wouldn't make it either. So it's been hard up until just recently b/c he didn't want to talk about my pregnancy, didn't really want to go to appts, didn't want to even remotely discuss names b/c that would mean we are assuming it will be born! So I have felt VERY alone from say the time we found out until our u/s on 8/15. I just felt like he wasn't happy yet b/c he was still holding back and not wanting to let go and love this life that is growing inside me. But now that I am nearing 12 weeks (this Sunday) and he's seen the 3d u/s and all, he is finally starting to let some emotion show and he's bragging on his myspace page about our little one. I have been waiting and waiting for this time to get here and I'm just hoping he gets more and more excited the farther along I get!

I've been on cloud nine since last night! I got out the babybeats doppler and SUCCESS! I found our baby's heartbeat! It was around 168-180. It's really hard to count that fast even for 15 seconds! I got the one that you can record it so I was able to play it back for DH and my parents over the phone. I took it to bed with me and any time I woke up (which is about 3-4 times a night) I pressed play and listened and it calmed me right back down! So reassuring! I HIGHLY recommend it!

I have my first OB sono tomorrow but DH won't be here to go with. Kinda sad about it but at least he's working and getting OT for our little one!

Hope you all have a wonderful night! I still have all my aches and pains but hearing that heartbeat in your own home just makes them all kinda fade into the background!!!

PS: Can everyone update their signature with their EDD if you know it at this point? It's fun to see exactly when everyone is due and right now, just seeing the number of weeks is too hard to calculate b/c my brain is low-functioning these days. Must be the baby...

Hey everyone. Everything is fine here. I've been on the phone all day. Had my OB appointment and heard the heartbeat with the doppler today. Pretty cool. Everything is right on track. The only bummer is my OB doesn't do an US until 20-22 weeks. Seems like forever away but as long as I hear the heartbeat and know we are ok I can wait to find out the sex. DH leaves in about 4-5 weeks for 4 months so he won't be here anyway.

Kristen: I am totally having the sinus headaches. They hit me when I am changing positions mostly. Hope they will pass soon.

kristen, same here w/ the sinus stuff. I am taking zyrtec for allergies anyway and now added sudafed to the mix. Still sufering.
