wow, those pictures are amazing!!! love it!
amybeth: that good they found the source but man, that is awful you have so much pain...they mentioned that there is a fibroid and I need to have my ob/gyn take a look at it...what kind of pain does it give you? She thought at first was a contraction but then said no, it was a fibroid...any info would be great - I go tomorrow morning for my 20 week check up

one flickering heartbeat - so sweet! 8/14/08 Beta just over 13,000 progesturone dropped a bit but still in the 160's u/s 8/21 one baby confirmed  9/4 first ob/gyn appointment everything looks good! 9/25 last day for this icky prometrium! 10/21 amnio due to wonky nt results 10/22 amnio (fish results) came back, all is well!! It's a boy!! 10/24 regular appointment 11/20 level 2 ultrasound confirmed gestastional diabetes 1/22 going twice a week for check ups bedrest since week 32 in and out of the hospital since week 32 early labor week 36, c-section Tyler 5lbs 8oz

Deanna I'm glad all went well today with your OB appointment! So here's my news. My ultrasound is scheduled for Monday 11/24 at 4pm. They are telling me that along with the fetal assessment and the measurments of my cervix and fibroids, they should be able to tell the gender of the baby as long as the baby cooperates.  So Scarlet, you can change my gender scan to 11/24 instead of 12/11!!! They are having me keep the 12/11 ultrasound as that will be the Level-II one where they do the whole anatomy scan as they still think that Monday will be too soon for that, so it sounds like we'll get the see the little one on Monday and then again a few weeks later!!! DH is going along with me so we'll get to hear all the details together which is great!Although I still had some pain today, it was nothing like the last few days and I really think a lot of it is just the relief knowing that it's "normal". I'm glad it's Friday and the work week for me is over. It will be nice to have a few days off to decompress and relax.

Ladies with fibroids, I have heard and read on this site about others who have threatened pre term labour because of the pain the fibroids cause. Please be sure to stay on top of things. I will pray for you all!!!

Quite a few times it felt like a horrible combination of pressure and gas (of which trust me, it wasn't gas pain), and actually doubled me over. Other than that it's awfully similar to severe menstrual cramps. Ask how big your fibroid is and where it is located. There are multiple types. Some can be in the uterus itself, some are in the uterine wall (which is where mine are), and some are on "stalks" that hang on the outside of the uterus in the abdominal cavity. Ask too what the impact is on the baby. Depending on the size and the location, unfortunatley fibroids are normal and common, but fortunately they usually don't have anything to do with complications during pregnancy! They can cause infertility issues (as I've well seen) but my OB said that a large marjority of women deliver healthy babies and don't even know they have fibroids until they have their ultrasounds done during pregnancy!

The doctors I saw Thursday is not my normal place, it's the fetal medicine/ high risk where they sent me for the amnio - they booked the 20 week u/s there at the time of amnio....I was confused by it too but all is well, todays appointment went well. I did tell him my tighting / short of breath issues when I walk during the day and he wants me to go to physical therapy or my chiropractor - my lungs are clear and everything looks fine, he thinks that my stomach muscles are weak and I need either an adjustment

My OB appoitment and U|S is on Monday. I'm so happy, because last time I saw my baby was when I was 12 weeks preg. But we are not finding out the gender. We want a surprise!
I started with leg crumps. O, boy, it really painful!

! An update, I put myself on bedrest until my Doctor's appt, but I will probably be staying there, until my girls get here, hopefully a long long time from now. I loved your belly pic Scarlet. I wanna see more. Here is my 20 week pics, I am measuring 26
