Mary Kay: I'm so happy for your latest news about not being dialated yet! I'll keep everyone in my prayers!

Last night DH and I went out with some friends to a bar. The band that was playing had someone in it that they had gone to High School with, so we figured we'd give it a shot. We ended up only staying a few hours as it was pretty noisy. We never did hear the band as we left before they started, but there were so many people there that it was really loud! The baby didn't sit still the entire time, and after about an hour I started to get BH pretty strong. They weren't consistent and didn't last long, but when it happens, it makes my fibroids bulge out more and frankly that hurts. I think it was his way of telling me... "go home Mumma". I felt bad so that DH had to leave his friends after only a few hours, as there were a few people there that he used to be really good friends with in high school that he hadn't seen in 20+ years! But he was the one who suggested we leave and it was funny, because about 5 minutes after we got in the car, the little guy calmed down and fell asleep!!! The BH's stopped too, so I learned my lesson... no loud bars!

Last night I had a great dream. It was my first one about our actual baby and not about animals or other crazy things! I dreamt about going in for the c-section, being knocked out from the surgery, not remember any of that, and then having the little guy in my arms. The funny part was that about an hour after he was born, I was just as skinny as I was before we got pregnant! I had on a tank top and when I went to hold the little guy, he was super strong and pushed aside my top so he could nurse! He latched on right away and that's when I woke up from the dream! I hope that's a good sign of what's to come in a few months!

We go pick up our crib today. I can't wait. I think that's why I'm up so early. I woke up at 7 and couldn't fall back to sleep for some reason, which is rare on a Saturday!!! When the nursery is all put together, I'll take photos and post them.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Amy - your little guy is already telling you what he likes and dislikes. My boys do that at church, with the organ music they both go crazy and as soon as I leave the go to sleep. Makes it hard to sit there and enjoy church when you get the BH strong and them kicking/punching kind of distracts you.
have fun picking out the crib. The dream is funny. I guess thats feeding on demand..LOL..

Scarlet -Thank you, last night was sooo much better.

I have maybe 4-6 BHs a day.

Scarlet- You'll get some relief with gavescon. My mom swears by it too. LOL. She has really bad heart burn so she takes it daily along with some other stuff. I hope I do not end up like her after pregnancy, cause I think she blames her preg with me for her having constant heart burn! lol. I am the problem child...having come out facing up instead of down like babies are supposed to, there for causing her more pain....and me more pain through life because of it! ha ha

There have been a few ladies we haven't from in awhile. We need updates. Most of us are now in the 3rd and FINAL trimester . I have horrible heartburn too, my bp is fine so I take Tums for the extra Calcium, but I can see why someone with high BP might want to stay away. Results are in, fFN came back negative. I am starting to think I can make it to 36 weeks. I have probably around 30-40 BH a day and am on medicine but even though my cervix is shortening it does not seem to be dilating. They last anywhere from 20 seconds to over a minute. Some are painful but most are not. IDK.Have a wonderul weekend.

Wow bh lasting over 30 sec to over a minute. Some of mine are very uncomfortable where I would worry about it if it lasted up to a minute but so far its hasn't passed 30secs Thank God...

Mary Kay: That is great news about you fFN test results!!! Continuing to take it easy is the best thing you can do for those little munchkins!!!

We just got back a little bit ago from our second trip to Babies R Us today! The first one was earlier today when we went to go pick up the crib. Wow that was a big box!!! We had to open it up and just put the pieces in the back of the Q7! There wasn't much room left for anything else, so we took the crib home, put it together, and went back to do the rest of our shopping. With the huge 15% off sale this weekend, we wanted to make sure to take advantage of that! We ended up getting the crib mattress, some really cute crib sheets that DH picked out, a safari themed mobile (called Zanzibar or something like that) to compliment the Pop Monkey bedding, some mattress pads, and I caved and got a glider and ottoman!!! I sat in a few and fell in love with the one that Angela had gotten Cherry Glider/Ottoman Combo with Fern Microfiber - Shermag - Babies "R" Us. We got the cherry wood with fern microfiber cushions. Unfortunately they didn't have it in stock, but they ordered it from their warehouse and said it would be there in 7-14 days. Saving the 15% was nice with all the stuff we got today! We're going to hold off on any other big purchases until we get our rewards certificates for the last few trips. We'll have bought our crib, pack and play, and glider (among a bunch of other little things) so the rewards will hopefully add up nicely!

Now all I have to do is finish a few loads of laundry so I can finish putting the bedding together for the crib! DH got so excited about everything and even put together and attached the audio/video baby monitor and the mobile! We'll have to move the mobile eventually as he centered it perfectly on the crib, and I've read you aren't supposed to have it directly above the baby. But it was so cute that he got all excited and put it all together! He even tested the video portion of the monitor with a stuffed monkey and stuffed cow!!! I love that he's getting so excited about our son being born!

Hey all. I feel like I've been gone forever. Sorry to hear about BH and heartburn nagging people.
I'm just going along pretty well. I am borderline for gestational diabetes (AGAIN) but it is ok, because I eat healthier and exercise better with motivation. I've been trying to spend a lot more time with my son, but will try to check in.

Here's two of the pics of the nursery! We decided not to spend money on matching furniture, as we had a chest of drawers and a dresser from an Ethan Allen bedroom set, which will be our son's once he gets older anyway... we also had an older bookshelf that will hopefully soon be filled with kids books!!! The money we saved on other nursery furniture will be used for other baby items!

Amybeth-that is so cute. I love the Monkey. Our furniture is mixed too. We have a lot of antique items and our beds are different because we had bought one before we found out we were having twin. The room looks so small now but it is amazing walking into the room and you can picture yourself with your little bundle/s of joy! Here are the pics of where the beds are.The walls look blue but they are a neutral green.

I have excellent BP too but it is still a concern if you are taking them regularly. It's not about having problems with BP, it's about the extra salt that we just don't need during pregnancy.

Amybeth and Mary- Your nurseries are adorable. One of thse days I'll finish getting ours cleaned up and take a pic....

Amybeth, the room is looking good! That's funny that we will have the same glider. Wasn't it nice! It was such a good price too for both pieces. I got on BRU's website the night I bought it and it got really good reviews.

Mary Kay, congrats on not dialating! Your room looks good too. It's weird how cameras make colors look different. I have also been wondering where Patricia is! I was going to post the same thing.

DH and I went out last night with his aunt and uncle to Baltimore to see Rodney Carrington. It was very funny. Of course we had to be out in Baltimore where Obama was last night too. The city was kind of a mess traffic-wise. We didn't get back until late, and I don't think I'll be staying out that late again (I worked Friday night, got up at six yesterday, worked all day, then went out until midnight), for the rest of this pregnancy. BUT, it was worth it for one night out with DH. We don't do it very often even when I'm not pregnant!

I can't believe how fast our pregnancies are going. I know we all felt like it was taking forever in the beginning! I only have a little over 10 weeks until my due date! My boss (and friend) said that this has been the fastest pregnancy in history. I have to say though that I love being pregnant (even with some of the uncomfortable parts), and I will be sad when it's over.

HI ladies,
I am SO proud of us!! I've been a little weepy lately thinking about all the stuff we've been through. A friend of mine just had a failed IVF and they're devastated, of course.

My appt. went well. I'll get the results from the glucose test back around Thursday. BP was exactly the same But the doc said she wasn't worried. I told her I would worry for the both of us. Eli (finally decided on a first name, the middle name is another story) is as active as ever.

I'm training my sub for when I go on maternity leave. It's VERY HARD for me to take my hands off of things and let another person do it--very hard indeed. I've got to do it though. I can't imagine how hard things will be when I'm even bigger. We have these lovely little seats intended for four-year-olds that I'm having a blast getting in and out of.

Amybeth : I think our nurseries are the exact same blue. I love it!!

Have great week. I've got to get caught up with the posts!
Lauren
