Just dropping in with some news... One of my friends ordered and put down a 1,000 deposit at USA Baby for baby furniture, and apparently they just closed. She got a letter saying she won't receive her money or her furniture. She's now trying to fight through her credit card company to get the money back. I don't know if all USA Baby stores have closed at this point or not, but if they haven't, watch out!

What's crazy and extra crappy about it.. She put down her deposit and ordered on Jan. 3, and the letter she got was dated Jan 22nd. You'd think that when she put the deposit down, they would have known what was coming in 19 days!!!!!!! That's pretty shady I think.

Patricia, almost everything has arrived. All the furniture and big stuff is here, just waiting for a few odds and ends. I'm feeling the nesting coming on so will actually start this weekend. Last weekend we were delayed with the full kitchen renovation so now we have that under wraps so to speak. Really looking forward to getting started. Our shower is February 21st so it's coming up fast!

Hey Scarlet, my shower is 2/21 too. I'm hoping I'm not too miserable by then to enjoy everyone. It's getting pretty tight in my belly with these babies.

Also, Scarlet- my next appt with the specialist is 2/10/09 to check on my babies again. After that one I'll be going every week.

Maggie-That is not right, I live in Indianapolis I know which one she is talking about. When they were open I did not have much luck with them. I hope she gets something. They can not just take her money.
Well, I am off to my OB appt and NST. After the weather here, I am glad I can still make it. We had 14 inches of snow. I know some other ladies had to deal with this and all I can say is be super careful!!!!!!

Oh, twin mommies or anyone that may have been experiencing preterm labor. Have you spoke to your OB about doing the Strep B sooner than 36 weeks? If that is when they usually do it, do you worry you might not make it that far? I brought up to my OB and we are going to do it early. I just wondered if anyone else has mentioned it.

What's a strep B test? We haven't talked about it at all. The only thing they've said most recently is to limit all physical activity now so that I can get to 37 weeks.

Once upon a time I told my OB about the amount of bladder infections I get so he sent me for a uranalysis. They grew the bacteria in my bladder and it turned out to be Strep B. So...I get to avoid the lovely rectal/vaginal swabs and procede straight to GO. Well I mean uhhh...I just get to do the antibiotics because it's in my bladder. No idea how it got there but that's where it is!

Deanna- Lots of ladies I know, get a big bucket that it would fit in and put ice around it to keep it cold instead of putting it in the fridge. (Or they put it in the tub and put the ice around that.)

HI ladies,
ALOT going on with everyone. Phew! Here in GA it's just cold and windy. We haven't had any precipitaion.

Went to the doctor yesterday and had the lovely Rhogam (sp) shot in the butt. My BP was high 144/86 so I have to go back on Monday for a re-check. It had dropped to 132/80 when they re-tested yesterday. So YUCK. I feel fine though: no swelling or headaches or blurry vision. I'm measuring at 30 weeks (I'm 28). Really feeling pregnent now

Hi girls. I'm really down today for some reason. I think it's because DH went up north to look at properties in Eagle River, WI with one of our friends, but because of my Dr's restrictions, I had to stay home. I really don't mind that he went up north, but because he's gone, it's really quiet here and I have way too much time to think about things.

I'm scared about having our baby. Being our first, I have no idea what is ahead of us and I'm scared that I'll do something wrong and screw up our kid.

I'm still really bummed about the lack of a baby shower too. Everyone at work keeps asking me about when our shower is, and I hate saying that we aren't having one. Everyone looks at me like I'm nuts. But no one has offered to throw one for us, and I just don't feel right about giving a party for ourselves, especially one where people typically bring gifts. Helping to coordinate one yourself and having it at your house is fine in my opinion, as long as there are others who are actually involved in the shower. I keep looking at the list of things we still need and the $-signs just keep rolling past my eyes. Selfishly speaking, it would be nice to have a shower so that people could help us with buying some of the things we need. Plus, I think everyone would agree it's nice to be pampered and that's a fringe benefit of a shower!

Is anyone else feeling really down lately? I'm going to talk to my OB about it on Tues at my next appointment, but I keep crying for what seems like no good reason. Any time I get a break from my busy work-life, I start overthinking things and I think it stresses me out. I know that's not good for the baby or me, but I don't know what to do to keep my mind occupied with other things.

Ahh, sounds like you need a great big .My worry is starting to kick in but that is so normal for any expecting mommy. Instead of a shower, take a whole day and spend time with DH or go shopping for the baby.I know the money is frightening but we have to get the stuff for them so we should enjoy it.Just take some time to relax and enjoy your free time. You are feeling what I think most women feel.Not knowing what to expect is scary but it will all be worth it.

I posted this on it's own thread but want to check in on you ladies.

Hi.Yesterday I had a cervical check,fFN and a swab to check for a bacterial infection.I have had this before but it hurt so bad yesterday.She said it felt irritated.Afterwards, I had cramping and it has continued today. These are stronger than normal AF cramps. Is this normal? I am going to take some tylenol but I am worried that this caused more irritation to my cervix. Could it cause me to dilate?I am just stressing because I am in so much pain.I am not bleeding though.Any thoughts?
