I guess we will see what the OB says but the MFM sounds like he doesn't want to wait until 37 weeks. I can not bear the thought of another week of this but I have to be strong for the girls.

Oh Mary Kay - hang in there! Sounds like you had a scary appt. If they need to deliver you they will - 36 w is awesome! As far as the possible liver condition I hope you are OK.

Busy day today! We are all getting so close that it's so nerve-wracking as well as exciting!!!

My appointment went well. My bp was 102/70 and the baby's heart rate was 130. I've gained 2 lbs these last two weeks, so that means I've gained a total of 36lbs. I'm OK with that even though I feel like a giant weeble! The numbness happens in a lot of people my OB told me, and is caused due to the stretching of the skin and possible either stretching or irritating nerve endings. She said the feeling will come back. I talked about the pelvic pain I have every now and then and she explained that was normal too, and its just the bones softening a bit and pulling apart. Ouch! She said that shortness of breath is normal, unless it turns into super rapid breathing... then that's something to call/come in about.

I asked if they knew who would be on schedule on April 20th so I'd have an idea of who would do the c-section. Since there are four OBs in the practice, I wanted to make sure I saw whoever it would be over the next few visits. Even though I've seen all of them, there are some I've seen more than others. Anyway, it turns out that the two Dr's that are on for that day are my two favorites!!! She said both of them will be in the surgery, one leading and one assisting! She seems to be optimistic that I'll make it until then (which is 39w1d for me), so that's good!

My next appointment is March 24th. The nurse said they'd do the strep-b test then, and when I asked why since I'm guaranteed a c-section, she said it's standard practice in case I go into labor and deliver vaginally. She obviously doesn't know my chart as my OB said they'd never let me deliver naturally, but whatever. Depending on how the ultrasound goes next week and how my placenta previa is doing, I'm going to question the test again next week before they do it. Everything I've read says it's only a risk if you deliver vaginally so why have unnecessary tests done? But whatever they say I'll do.

She also told me she thinks reducing my hours is what I need to do. I'll talk to my boss about it tomorrow and hopefully will start to come home early at least 3 times a week, if not every day.

AND... DH's flight landed and is on his way home now. He should be home within the hour!!! Whoohoo!!!

AmyBeth...its my understanding that even if you are planned C-section it is required by most insurance to have the Strep B test. You never know how fast labor will progress. My first came in under three hours.

Maggie Sorry you're in the hospital but I'm so glad that the boys are doing well.

Amy That's great that dh is on his way home!!! I'm glad you got all your q's answered and that the numbness isn't anything to worry about.

Patricia I had to read your story about your class to my dh. I know it must have been so annoying but it's funny to read about .

Viki You can drop several weeks before you actually go into labor so I wouldn't worry. Has your ob been checking you? Better to be safe with these things.

Deanna: thanks for the reminder about insurance companies and strep-b... the nurse said that they require it for all their patients, so I'm sure it's normal procedure. The thing I forgot to mention was it was the mean-nurse I don't like with the awful bedside manner (the one who had told me "I have bad news for you" when she told me they had lost my blood from the antibodies test and the first glucose test)... so that gave me a negative attitude about it too.

The other thing I'm worried about is with the previa, my OBs have told me no pelvic exams, no pelvic activity whatsoever... so it worries me that they will be doing something "down there". That's why I'll feel better after the ultrasound next week, especially if the previa has shifted more and isn't an issue any more!!!

I am definitely that the previa has shifted. I think that is one of the scariest things to have during pregnancy. I am going to go back to our IVF cheers.Move Over Placenta...Move Over

ASFM: I had the second dose of steroids tonight. I have been having contractions off and on all day with the baby pushing down. So, I am so glad we could get these on board before delivery.

Maternity Photo Shoot

Hi Girls!

Finally got the pictures figured out. We only did 8 and I think I posted 6. The photographer did a **** good job at making them really hard to scan. My hubby had to scan and do some photoshop business just to get them here. I had to use shutterfly because the quality of the scan is not the greatest and I didn't want to make them any worse. Either way, you'll get the gist. Here is the link:

Mary Kay, it sounds like it could be a race to the finish for us. I'm sorry about your rash. Hopefully you can get some more info soon from your OB. That's the plan, right?

I've had multiple NST/ monitoring appointments and the boys are very reactive and active. I had a BPP yesterday at they are now estimating 4 pounds 13 oz and 4 pounds 9 oz. My MIL called me Monday morning and was sick with some sort of virus/bug and having headaches, naseau, dizziness, and vomitting. I had headache at that point, and thought that I was just getting the same sickness. But gosh, it was a killer headache. By afternoon, tylenol wasn't cutting it, and my BP started going up (we still don't know if the BP was going up on it's own, or the pain from the headache made it go up). We finally just got a major storm through and our weather dropped from 75 to 35. I've had sinus problems all my life, so part of me thinks this was all sinus stuff. Since arriving at the hospital things have been good. We are waiting today to hear about 24 hr urine collection and they repeat blood work that tests for end organ failure/function that they tested on Monday. On Monday the results were WNL, but apparently they can start showing a "trend" downward sooner than symptoms arise.
Sooooo, keep your fingers crossed and pray for the boys and I. I really want to make it to 34 weeks at the minimum... 35 would be great.... anything on top of that is cake!

Scarlet, your pictures were done so wonderfully! I love you belly! I can't believe you only had 8 pictures taken, but still came out with so many good ones!

Deanna - I'm not really sure how invasive the Group B strep test has to be. One of my friends was given the swab, and was told to do it herself and turn it in when done.

Lauren - It's so hard not to be able to do those little things that seem like nothing! Try to listen to DH, and let him get things done when he wants to get them done! I had to re-read your question, but yet, my OB office is always HOT! I wear a tee-shirt and pants nothing else when I go in. Now in my own room, I have the AC cranked down as low as it can go!

Full moon tonight ladies - hide your bellies! (if you believe in the old wives tale that full moons make pregnant people go into labor.... There have been a lot of deliveries here the past 2 days.

Lauren: STOP BENDING!!!! There, I scolded you too.

Deanna: Oh the cheers!!! That made me smile! Here's one for everyone else...
stay put and healthy little ones, stay put and healthy!

Maggie: I'm glad to hear things are OK with you in the hospital. As much as it stinks to be there, you are in the best place right now! I love your "hide the bellies" comment... My Mom had said something similar last night as they got called in to the hospital yesterday to volunteer (she and my Dad test newborn's hearing before the little ones can go home) because they had a busy night the night before and are expecting it to be busy tonight too!

Hang in there everyone and have a great day!!!

Amy that your placenta shifts. I'll throw in a too .

Deanna REading your post about the pelvic pressure I was so relieved that you got your second steroid shot. Good call. Now you're all set. Do you feel more relaxed now?

Lauren agghhh it's tough to watch dh do things at his own pace. I was on modified br in my first trimester and it drove me nuts

Scarlet I love the pics. I was trying to figure out which one I liked the best but they're all so great! You and your dh look so sweet!!

Maggie You and your boys will be in my prayers. that the results don't show a worsening trend. Hopefully if all looks good they'll spring you. Or are they planning on keeping you no matter what?

Today I have my regular NST appt. I'll let you know how it goes. that the baby cooperates.

Audra: good luck today with your nst! Anyone else with appointments today, I hope they go well for you guys too!

I forgot to say earlier, DH got home last night about 6pm. We made dinner and then I collapsed on the couch. It is great to have him home!

OK, off to work now. So much for leaving early, I just looked at my calendar and I have a 4-5pm meeting!!! Oh well... I'll try to start tomorrow and will be blocking off my calendar every day now from 3-5 so no one can book meetings!!!
