I am so glad that your liver test was normal. The BRAT diet can get old pretty quick but, I hope it helps you.

I hope the girls lungs are mature and you can deliver on the 21st. That would be awesome!

Sorry for the really late post girls. I have not been feeling well. My body is so tired, back hurts and a nerve on my left side is pinched or screwed up some how. It's been snowing since yesterday so I'm a little down in the dumps. Oh well, I'll survive .

Congrats Susan and thanks for updating us. We've been wondering if everything was okay. Baby Taylor and Chance. You're all in our thoughts.

I just wanted to tell you ladies that I put the smack down on my OB today. I am not seeing her weekly or had a NST test/Strep B test or anything. I requested to see another doc next week with my monthly US. I am 34 weeks for pete sakes. Shouldn't I see some of the other docs in the group and start making preparations for my munchkins. Doc was resistant in having me see other docs. She said that they know all about me etc. Well, I don't know anything about them. I even told the receptionist/nurse that at this point in my pregnancy, I should be going every week. Can you believe they scheduled my last OB appointment for April 20. My singleton due date is April 22. Are they smokin crack?
I told the receptionist that even if I could hold out to 40 weeks, I am NOT having these guys in me that long. Eviction notice is 38 weeks and change. Okay, my rantings are over and I will read the rest of the posts today.

Mette I must have missed your post somehow. So sorry you aren't feeling well - the stuffed sinuses on top of everything else stinks. Hope you feel better soon.

Barbara Glad to hear that you and the boys are doing well. It stinks that you are still in the hospital but it's great that you've made it so far. It's awesome that tey can stop your meds soon. that the lo that is transverse turns. Glad to see that you were able to check in.

Mary Kay Pheww I'm so glad that it was not choleostasis. I actually looked it up and got pretty worried for you. Sucks though that you have to go on the BRAT diet but if it makes the itching stop it will be worth it. 37 weeks is just awesome!!

J OMG it sounds like they aren't seeing you too often and you're preggo with twins too!! I was getting angry for you while reading your post. Too bad it's too late to switch obs. My Drs office insists that you see all the other Drs at least once each pregnancy so that you feel comfortable if they end up delivering you. I asked if with the scheduled induction I had to do this and my ob said I should just in case I had an emergency induction...

Oooh I forgot my good news - the baby flipped back and is head down now !! that he/ she doesn't flip again.

I just got back from my OB appointment where I had the Strep B swab. It was super quick and not uncomfortable at all - seriously, after all the infertility prodding and probing this was a walk in the park :-) My doctor also did a quick exam and said that the baby is head down but not engaged yet, and that my cervix is long and closed which is what she wants to see at this stage. So good news all around!

She also gave me a sheet with labor instructions - who and when to call and all that stuff which I have to admit is nice to have, just in case. I don't expect to go into labor anytime soon, but you just don't know, and I really like being prepared. She stressed again how important it is to stay hydrated, especially once labor begins, and since I'm probably not gonna want to eat, to drink Gatorade or something other than water to get some sugar and salt. All good things to keep in mind.

Scarlet, my next OB appointment is 3/20 - thanks! Oh, and your pictures were just beautiful! Wow!! Hope you feel better; I know the pain of a pinched nerve, and it sucks. I find that moving around sometimes makes it better.

J - OMG, your doctor sounds crazy! With twins you would think that they would understand that you're probably not gonna make it all the way to 40 weeks! Good for you that you spoke up and told them off; that's just totally unacceptable.

Barbara - good to see you check in! I hope you aren't getting too much cabin fever at the hospital, but just think...your babies could be here soon!! It's so exciting - ladies, we're almost there

My OB said he feels the baby's head down so I guess he turned! I thought that he might have turned a few days ago at 4 in the morning. He was certainly doing something that night! I don't know why, but for some reason, I just can't quite believe that he turned. I still feel the same movements in the same places. I know I should just trust my OB! I'm sure he knows what a head feels like by now!

That's right, I just quoted myself! Ladies, I learned a very important lesson today... Trust your instincts! Especially your mommy instincts. I had my OB appt. today. I was chatting with the nurses and basically expressed that I wasn't really sure if the baby had turned. They said, "well, he can do a quick sono to check". So they set me up in the room and set up the machine. He came in and the nurse told him that I wanted to check the position of the baby. So, he does an internal and said he thinks the head is down. Then, he puts the sono on me and the head is UP!!! I KNEW IT! I knew he hadn't turned. I am SO glad I asked for the sonogram. He hasn't even moved from the spot his has been in since 29 weeks. Same side, everything. So, I am now looking at a c-section. I know he can still turn, but I'm 37 weeks tomorrow! I just know he's not going to turn.

Anyway, I'm not too freaked out, but I guess I am a little bummed about having surgery. From everything I hear, it's not so bad. I just went to see my friend yesterday who had one two weeks ago and she's doing great. So, we're going to try to schedule it for the 27th. That is of course if he doesn't turn. I should know next week for sure when we're scheduled.

Deanna: how the heck did you sleep well with all the wind last night?!?!? If you got even half of what we got (I know we're about 45min-1hr apart), then I have no idea how you slept through that. I woke up basically once every hour to two hours from the wind. I seriously thought it was going to either break our windows or flip the house over!

Scarlet: sorry you aren't feeling well. Rest up and I hope you feel good soon!

So wish us luck tomorrow morning. We are going to go check out a day care/preschool that came recommended to us and is pretty close to our house. It's actually owned by people who live a few houses down and behind us (irony as we didn't know this until we called!). But... they only have one spot open for an infant in mid-July (which is what we are estimating needing now based upon a mid-April delivery and me taking 12 weeks off)... Two other couples have called inquiring about the same time for availablity, so we are hoping we won't be too late! As long as we feel comfortable there tomorrow, we'll be signing up! I also found (but still have to call) a pediatrician. Actually, it's a pediatric practice which has a whole group of Dr's. My good friend at work takes her little one there (he's 13 weeks now and was 5 week premature and they treated him soooo well) and I have several women who work for me who's kids go there too. Everyone raves about this place, and the best part is that they are accepting new patients!!! So... I have to call there tomorrow to, but hopefully we'll have all that lined up by the end of the day tomorrow. I'm starting to freak out about all of this. I haven't gotten into the crazy-cleaning-kick yet, but I'm feeling like I'm starting to nest a little.

OK, off to make dinner now!

AmyBeth- The wind was horrible last night but, I just managed to find a really comfortable position and I have been exhausted for weeks.
I literally go to the bathroom every 30 minutes most nights. I think I just found a position that Blaine could stay off my bladder. I pretty much just passed out!

Here's hoping to finding that position again!

Angela Bummer that the baby is still breech. He could turn though - sometimes they turn late. Def have them check at the hospital before the surgery. They do that all the time and sometimes the baby has flipped at the last minute. My ds didn't flip that late but we had already set up the c section date when he flipped. My sister flipped late too when my mom was pregnant.

Amy GL touring the daycare. We've been touring summer camps for our boys so they have something to do this summer while I care for the lo. It's nerve racking making sure they have a spot at a nice place.

Nothing new here - I'm going to relax for a while .
