J Can't believe thatyou're over 38 weeks pregnant with twins !!

Happy Easter to those who celebrate.

My mom and m-i-l are cooking at our house today. we'll have a small group. First year in quite a while that I didn't go to church on Easter. It's going to be a fun day though. Last night we were up late dying eggs (our fault as we forgot to buy eggs and went to get them after dinner - I'll blame infant caretaker brain since I can't blame preggo brain anymore) so my ds's are still asleep if you can believe it! After they wake up we'll hunt for eggs.

Have a great day everyone!

Hey everyone
I didn't do much today with the exception of going to IKEA to buy a rug for the house and the babies' room. My feet were sooooooo swollen. After a nap, I felt great.
One more day and then I get to meet my munchkins.. I am still looking for my camera cord so I can upload my pics. I am secretly happy about the no labor thing but then I am worried. I wonder if I am normal, it seems like the girls don't want to leave. The worries never end.

Happy Easter everyone
I am going to get caught up with everyone tomorrow

J: I can't believe tomorrow is your day!!! You've done such a great job to get this far with twins!!! I think you have a buddy to page/email when you have details about the girls, but if for some reason you don't, let me know as I'll be around all day tomorrow with the exception of an OB appointment and NST at Noon.

The nervousness had better be normal because I have that too! I'm having a c-section and am happy because of the fact that there will be no stressful unknown amount of labor, but nervous because I have no idea what to expect! I've been having dreams like crazy about everything that I seem to be nervous about. Last night I had a dream about breast feeding, the other night I had a dream about the c-section surgery itself, and the list goes on...

I'm trying to have the attitude of "what is meant to happen will happen" but wow is it hard. Last night before I went to bed I told DH "one more week"! He smiled a huge smile and said "yep"! I told him I was excited, he said he was too, and then I asked him if he was nervous. Guys don't get nervous you know, I think it breaks the man-code! Anyway, he got this sheepish look on his face and said "yeah, a little" and I said "me too". It helps to know we are both a little nervous as we know this will completely change our lives, but we are so excited and feel so blessed to have this little one entering our lives soon!

To everyone: I hope you have a great day!

Audra and Angela-How are you ladies holding up?I have up and down days.DH said I have to call my OB and get put back on Prozac. It is such a small dose, only 10,but it seems to help.I will have to make sure it is safe while BF.It was safe in pregnancy,so I imagine it would be safe.I don't want to but if it helps. The funny thing is it make me lose weight, when I started taking it last time I lost 15 pounds.I guess it is a good thing that all of our DH's are laid back, can you imagine 2 of us in one household!I am very high strung and so type A.Either way,I just hope you girls are feeling better and getting to enjoy your little ones.
Congrats Maggie, Reid and Owen. They are cuties!
Amybeth-yea for being done with work .Now RELAX!You are so close!
Audra-Glad to hear Emma is gaining well!
Deanna-I tried the shields and they did not work for me,but I am SO glad they worked for you.Whatever helps is worth it!
Scarlet-Congrats Sydney!
Barbara-We had the same problems with pacifiers, but we found out that both of our girls ONLY like Playtex Ortho Pacifiers.Thank goodness we found something.Your boys are great eaters. My girls eat between 3-4oz and are growing like weeds.Maybe they have hit a growth spurt!
Viki-Sounds like you are going to have a bigger baby than you are used to but sounds like you are close!
Mette-So happy Felix is home
J-Good luck tomorrow,Make sure to text me when you get a chance!!!!!I also know what you mean about the girls not wanting to leave.I delivered at 37 weeks(electively) and I was only dilated to 2 and 90%effaced.
AFM-Girls are doing well.Ali has reflux which has bee SOOOOOOOOO hard.Poor little thing crys all evening and all night and you can see she is pain Then she wakes her sister and she cries.I hate seeing her in pain and then I feel guilty because I can not give Cami the attention she deserves. It breaks my heart. So needless to say I am exhausted but we managed to take the girls to my MIL yesterday. We looked everywhere for Newborn Easter dresses, but no luck. But they were still so cute.I hope to see more pics and make sure everyone is moving over to the new mommies thread.
Oh here are some pics!

Viki! How exciting! Please take care of yourself and get back to the hospital as soon as your contractions get closer! You don't want to be having the baby at home!!!

Mary Kay: I love the bunny ears! Very cute pictures. Thanks for sharing!

I love this relaxing at home stuff and not working! I could sooooo get used to this! Although I know it's going to change soon when the little guy is born, it's just nice to leave the stress of work at work and to focus on me, me, me!!!

I had my 36 week ultrasound today and everything went well. Our baby girl is head down and very low. She weighs 6lb 3oz. Our baby boy is still transverse and he weighs 6lb 13oz. My cervix is still almost 3cm long. So it looks like I won't be having these babies until 4/27 as planned. I will be 38 1/2 weeks!

Jen: That's great that the twins and you are doing so well! They sound like they are great sizes at 36 weeks! I'm sure you are quite uncomfortable, but just as I try to keep telling myself, keeping the little ones inside for as long as possible is the best thing for them!

I like being home. Have I said that lately?!?! I just took a nap. It was nice.

Amybeth - I am starting to get uncomfortable with all the aches, pains, and lack of sleep. But...you are right about keeping them in as long as we can. Sometimes I just wonder why my OB is making me go to 38 1/2 weeks when some of the OB's take other twins at 36/37 weeks. I'm just ready to get the delivery over with and meet the babies. I'm scared and excited at the same time...and really hormonal today too. I just feel like I could sit down and cry...not sure why, but that's how I feel today. I started working half days the beginning of April. It was a personal choice and I'm glad I decided to do it. I was having some issues with swelling after sitting an entire 8 hour day at my desk. Plus, it's just nice to have the afternoon off to relax or do whatever I feel like.

bgk - Great job going to 38 weeks! I'm sure you are ready to get your little one out too! Not too much longer though.

Spaits - Glad to hear Felix is home. Now you can get settled in with your little one!

Scarlet - Congrats on the arrival of Sydney!

embarazada - Can't wait to hear about your little ones and see pics. Hope all went well!

BabyOBaby - Your girls are so precious! Sorry to hear about the acid reflux. My friend's little girl had that when she was born and I guess she would actually stop breathing. She said it was very scary. As for the anxiety, I worry about that too. I've had anxiety/depression issues in the past. I've dealt with them through therapy and meds...have been pretty good but I worry about what it will be like after I have the twins and my hormones are all crazy. To top it all off, I have a thyroid problem too which I think will make the hormone thing even worse! I just need to pray I will be ok and make it through without problems.

I am so excited for all the babies that are coming! I know that how uncomfortable the mommy's are getting. Hang in there..You are almost there.

AmyBeth- Enjoy this time as much as you can.

ASFM: Easter was spent mostly in bed. Blaine had a rough night of not sleeping. Everytime I put him down he would wake within 30 minutes. He just wanted to sleep in my arms. So, in the morning DH took him for a few hours so, I could sleep.

Today, DH took off for a business trip. It was really hard to see him go. He has been traveling for the past 5 years. Gone throughout the week most of the time. Today, was really rough for me though. I know that I can take care of Blaine but, it was so nice to have him there if I needed him. He will be back tomorrow night.

Ladybug-So weird but i also have a thyroid condition. The reflux is horrible, plus she is gassy and constipated,I didn't know it could cause them to quit breathing. You'll find out soon but with twins when 1 requires more attention it makes you feel so bad.You feel like you are neglecting the other.BTW.your babies are a great size!
Deanna-Poor Blaine and poor you, hope it gets better soon!

Mary Kay, it sounds like we have the same personality. It's funny, I always say that we couldn't have two of me OR DH in our house. We balance each other out. It is hard though since he can't understand me sometimes and I can't understand him sometimes. I was going to ask how you guys were doing too! I'm doing ok, like you, good days and bad days. Today started off bad, but I'm ok now. I am still loving being with the baby though so that's good. He is a really good baby so we're lucky. I have to tell you, the mommy guilt never ends. You said you feel guilty to focus on one twin more than the other. I'm feeling the same way about my sons. My oldest is 9 and it's only been him all this time. I know he understands that I need to focus on the baby but I feel SO guilty. It seems like all I do is feed the baby all day so it's hard to do much else. I still manage to do a little with DS, but not much right now. I know it will get better. Unfortunately, if you're not feeling guilty about one thing, it's another. It's one wonderful thing about being a mom! It just means we're good mommies because we actually care.

I was looking at the baby tonight and said, "How can anyone hurt a baby?" Looking at our little miracles really makes you think...

Amybeth, congrats on being off! I know you're happy!

Jen, the babies are great weights! That's a lot of baby you're carrying!
