It's 2:00 am here. I just got up to go to the bathroom (for the hundredth time since going to bed) and I lost my mucous plug. It was mucously with a little brown so I'm assuming that was my mucous plug. Now I'm just hoping my labor doesn't start until Monday...or I have the c-section before then. I am scheduled with the OB I wanted on Monday...not sure who would be on call tonight or tomorrow. I woke DH and then started to cry...I'm not ready for this! I'm scared and sick. I'm going back to bed for now...will start saying lots of prayers to get me through this.

Jen: It took between 2-3 days after I lost my plug for my labor to start! Praying the same thing happens to you so your c-section can remain as Mon morning!

Hi ladies!

Jen - If you are still at home, good luck at your c-section tomorrow! I know I missed most of the conversation about it, but honestly, I had no problems with the surgery, and have healed quickly! I'll do it again in a flash over trying a vaginal birth next time!!!

Mary Kay - Your girls look so cute and sweet in the pictures! How long did the photo shoot take, and how did you manage it? I've been thinking about taking the boys, but just don't know.....

Audra- I like the naked butt shot, but that's just my opinion. Our hospital picture of the boys has their bare butts in it. I hope I didn't permanently embarass them. It wasn't my intention anyway!

Megan - Beautiful babies!

Well, we are surviving here. I'm breast feeding both exclusively. It keeps me busy, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I can't believe they are almost 3 weeks old already. I have a friend with a 6 mo old, and oh my gosh, they grow and change SO much so quickly.
My DH and MIL helped the first week we were home, and my mom was here for a week... This week is going to be my first week alone with them. My MIL lives 2 blocks down though, so she can be here in a minutes notice. I'm nervous to see how it goes. Wish me luck!

Congrats Courtney and Ayden!!

Mary Kay the pictures are great! Love the tutus and flowers in their hair!

Jen Good Luck! for you and your little ones!

Amy You have a fibroid rioght? (My mind is goingLOL). Did they remove it during the c-section? Just wondering - I have a friend that had one removed and thought that would be great if they did it at the same x as the section - only 1 recovery and all.

bgk Mottie is adorable!

Maggie That's so nice that your m-i-l lives so close and can help (or at least at think it's great - I'm assuming you get along well ).

Nothing much new here - it's been a very busy weekend - 2 Tae Kwon Do belt promotions (both boys), ds's party, soccer game, and my mother's birthday. Phew - I'm glad it's a weekday again !

Audra... Yep! I've actually got 4 of them. The one is monstrous (10cm). I tried to convince my OB to remove it at the same time as the c-section, but they said that the only way that would have done that was if it was in the way of where they had to do the incision. The big one I have is on the top part of my uterus in the uterine wall, so of course as luck would have it, it didn't get in the way. They said the reason they won't remove it during the c-section is that there is too high of a risk of major bleeding and that the c-section is traumatic enough on your body. With the additional risk of bleeding, there is also a high risk that I'd have lost my uterus completely at that time. I wasn't ready for that as we'd love to be able to at least have the option to try for a second child down the road.

The only thing that stinks now is that my OB as well as my RE had said that the fibroids would have to come out before we tried to conceive again, so that would mean another surgery for me and more recovery time before being able to TTC again. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it though. Right now I'm having a tough enough time with just one child, let alone two!!!

Congratulations on the new babies (sorry I am so busy with Valerie I can't keep up with everything.)

Jen - Good Luck today. I that everything goes well and that your little ones are born with no complications.

AFM - Valerie is still battling Colic, we had a really rough afternoon yesterday afternoon. We went to church and to visit family afterward which went really well. We were about to go grocery shopping when a very close family friend offered to keep her for us and we were thankful for the help, besides she was sleeping. We went shopping went back to the friends house to pick Valerie up and she was still sleeping (at least until we put her in the car seat to go home.) This was about 6 o'clock she finally quit crying and went to sleep around 10 and was back up again around 11:30. Thank God after she ate she went back to sleep and slept until 3:30 this morning. I hope that is not a sample of what I am looking forward to when I go back to work on Wednesday.

Just a quick update while my Baby is sleeping. We came home from the hospital on Saturday. Things are going well. He is a fairly good sleeper. I am worried as is it the calm before the storm??? LOL oh the new worries as a parent!!!

He is a little peanut!! My doctor was sure wrong on the estimate of 8-9 lbs!! 6 lbs 13 ozs was enough.

For the ladies that had Vaginal birth with an epidural, did you have any bladder issues afterwards?? I had a catheter and I am not getting the urge to urinate! I even lost complete bladder control this morning.

Well baby is stirring so I should go.

Hope to get caught up more later!

With the loss of bladder control...I would call the doctor and see what they say. I know that you can get injured from a vaginal birth but it is rare. I have never had any issues thus far.

Jen- we are thinking about you!

Well, we had a breakthrough. Blaine finally nursed without the shield tonight. Woohoo! As much as those things have saved us, they do get in the way at times. Between him knocking them off with his rooting and the cleaning I will be happy if we can get rid of them.

Are you using Lansinoh cream? It's pure lanolin so you dont have to wipe it off or anything before you nurse. You should be putting it on your entire nipple area after you nurse, every time. You can start it now, it should heal and sooth the cracks.
