Hi everyone
Hi everyone,
hope everyone is doing good. Galapagos: sorry to hear about your bp hope you get better. you and your twins are in my .hazel: You and your twins are also in my stay in strict bed rest.schumachm: That is totally unfair what your insurance company is doing. Insurence companies are the worst so inhumane. I agree with KSB and Paisleygirl go to all the local news stations and all the news paper. AFM: had my 4d u/s on monday and it was a wonderful expirience we got to see the girls faces they were moving all over the place. It was a great expirience to have an u/s that is not medical but more for fun. It was the best aniversary prestent me and dh could have given each other. On monday was our 7th year aniversary Hope everyone has a great day Eve Wishing everyone a great day

Eve-Happy Anniversary! I agree that is a great way to celebrate.
Gal-I will be praying for you. 35 weeks is pretty darn good and you should be proud of yourself and your body for getting that far especially since they seem to be big ones. Your health is really important so take care of yourself. Paisley/ksb-I plan to do just that if this appeal comes back denied. I live in Ohio, and my insurance is Anthem. I pay $500.00 a month for prems and I have a $6,000.00 per person before they will pay anything. I am a walking poster child for insurance reform. Hazel-I am praying for you so much. At 26 weeks my cervix was 3.9 and one week later it was 3.0 and that was with me already on bed rest. After a week my cervix bounced back to 3.5. I pray this happens for you too. My doc said movement of babies can change things for the good. ![]()

I'm shocked because it looks like Anthem is an affliate of Blue Cross Blue Shield. It looks like you are on a high deductible plan, but your premiums seem high for a high deductible plan. I'm sorry you are going through this, it seems truely aweful what you are going through. Perhaps you can contact a lawyer or maybe a consumer advocate group that might help specifically with Health Insurance issues? |

also every state has an insurance comission and some have hotlines for complaints. you should look online for some state phone numbers

Hi Ladies,
I appreciate the prayers and support here and thank AmyK for updating you all. I was at grandma's house so I wouldn't be alone while DH was at work but had no internet access so I couldn't keep up with yall. I am still on bed rest until Tuesday when I go for ob follow up and the babies are having echo cardiagrams. Schumachm, thanks for sharing your experience which gives me hope. Eve, yay for the 4d u/s-we had ours and enjoyed it too! I'll be on tomorrow but then back to grandma's with no internet. Although, am very excited that we are having our shower this saturday-I'm sure it will help to see our family and friends. I'm glad everyone is well and hope you all enjoyed the weekend!

Hello Ladies,
I have not been able to even speak over the last few days. The constant nausea is literally taking a toll. My meds are not working at all. I just wanted to check on hazel and Gal. I am still praying for every day. We got a letter from our insurance company stating they were covering my pregnacy, after I told them I was going public.

hello girls
its been awhile again but i am having no free time...it looks like everyone is hanging in there, which is great.. schumach, that insurance company is terrible..even though they are going to pay, the fact that you even had to go through the stress of worrying about it in the condition you're in is unforgiveable in my book. and on 30 weeks! thats a huge milestone! and as far as feeding them both at the same time, i never could...i just staggered their feedings out so that say elijah ate at 10, peyton ate at 11 and so forth. at first i will tell you that i was lucky to have an hour of sleep per night and maybe a 2 hour nap during the day. the best advice i can give is sleep whenever the babies sleep because otherwise you will burn out and fast. i made the mistake of trying to get stuff done while they slept and i burned out to the point where i was a crying, non showered, non haircombed mess...lol its funny now but it wasn't then..galapagos, yay on 35 weeks my ob's office considered twins full term at 36 weeks. pre-e is nothing to mess around with though. a friend of mine had that with her son & it sounded awful. hazel, i think your cervix is measuring fine..at 26 weeks, i think mine was like 3.4 or something and my dr's didn't bat an eye but he did suggest me stopping work at 28 weeks..i didn't stop until 30 weeks, at that point i went on "couch rest" as i called it and then nothing happened til 34 weeks, when i started having contractions and dilating, then ended up on hospital bedrest til 36 weeks and then at 36 weeks, i went home and just waited. i had them at 36 weeks 3 days...eve, happy anniversary & i remember how amazed i was at my 4d ultrasound..i carried the 3d ultrasound pics in my purse until even after i had the babies..do you have names picked for your girls? i had elijah's name since i knew i was pregnant but it took me awhile to settle on peyton's..he was either going to be peyton or coby & peyton won out ![]() anyway, my babies are 7 months and a week today...can't believe it!!

Hi everyone, Hope you guys are all doing well.
Had my apt qith my obgyn today and everything is rigth on track. He asked me if I was planed to breast feed the bbies and I said yes. Dr. Told me something that surpised me he said that sometimes with twins the mother does not produce enough milk and one would have to combine it with formula. I tought that if the body produces milk it would produces enough for both babies. Does anyone know anything about this? Have a great weekend everyone

That's mostly a fallacy - the body will adjust to what your baby or babies need. You may have to supplement with formula until your body adjusts, especially if they come early. I know many, many people who were able to breastfeed both. That said you may find that you want to occasionally use formula to give yourself a break.
