anyone lose one embie after implantation and still have one survive?

Just wondering if anyone who had 2 sacs and lost one, went on and had a normal pregnancy with one healty bean? I had my 1st u/s at 6wks and saw one heart beat and one sac/yolk sac which my RE said prob. wouldn't survive and that I might spot over the next week. Well, thats happening now and the queeziness that i've been having a certain times hasn't come in 2 days so i'm concerned. I hope i'm just losing the one bean like my RE said but how can I be sure? Didn't know it this has happend to anyone else and the other bean be ok?

I did not have it happen to me, but from all the other threads I have read, it is very common. It's called a vanishing twin. You may even be surprised to find at your next ultrasound that they both have a heartbeat! The other one may just be a little behind.

Regarding your symptoms dissapearing, that happened to me when I was only a few weeks along. I would wake up and my boobs weren't sore, no more heartburn or nausea. They would dissapear for 3-4 days at a time. I was very cocerned. Now you can see from my sig that all three babies are still there!

Hang in there I am sure you little bean (or beans) are fine! Don't focus too much on the symptoms, it's very normal for them to come and go in early pregnancy.

It happened to me and as daisy said, it is very common. I had a vanishing twin with my first pregnancy. My son is now a healthy and thriving 19 month old.

Good luck!

THanks guys. I do feel a little better.

Did anyone of you have spotting witht he vanishing twin? thats what i'm experiencing now. I would be so excited to have there be a heartbeat next week but i'm preparing for it to have dissapeared, especially with the spotting i'm having.

I didn't realize the symptoms come and go in early pregnancy. That makes me feel sooo much better. Good luck to everyone and congrats on your healthy pregnancies!
