OB had me come in for an US and cervical exam.

Results:
Cervix still long and closed
Baby actively moving
No fibrods presently seen
Possible BV (won't have test results back until Monday)
No protein in the urine
Slight temp of 99.9
Passed GCT Test
Lost 2 lbs
Baby weighs 1lb 15oz
Baby measuring 26w4d

Because of all my surgeries OB really feels like the pain can be attributed to scar tissue that is pulling with the growth of my uterus. If so there's not much that can be done except pain management. I was given a 10 day prescription of pain meds that she told me to take only at night if I can help it. I've taken one so far since I haven't been able to sleep the past 3 days. It's been almost over an hour and I'm still having the pain .

The shining light in all of this is that I got to see my little cashew again. I'm so in love. Trying to post the new pic but the file is too big.

I feel like I've got mad gas and a pulled muscle and think my peanuts growing a little fast for me or something...not to be a worry wart whatsoever but just wondered if we're all in the same boat here - have a great weekend ladies!
Kandy - uber glad to hear your test results went great! You still having those cramps?

Hi guys, sorry, I know I don't post much here...but I read everyday. Mostly, just from exhaustion, and there is always so much good information on this thread...by the time I read it all I am pooped!

I am so impressed with all the daycare plans. I have NONE. I get 6 weeks offpaid, then I have 4 weeks vacation...but I plan to take a total of 6-8 months off total. I have NO CLUE if I even want to go back to work. DH and I would be ok financially for me to stay home, I have been saving for this event for years. BUT I have 13 years with my company and a really good salary. It is just so hard to decide that I figured why think about it now? Daycare is really expensive around here too..

Emilie - I feel "full" alot too. I am not sure but I think it is intestinal...as I have been eating alot and having troubles with the um....pooping...sorry TMI. Sometimes I fear it is the baby, but then I go potty FINALLY and feel better, so I think it is that.

Has anyone read that we should not sleep on our backs? I have the preggy pillow too - a lifesaver - but by the morning my hips are killing me, and I am much more comfy on my back. But I read that circulation is poor that way and it will cause the dreaded back pain, but hte soreness in my hips makes me wake up early every day and it sucks.

Kandy - I am so sorry you are having so much pain! A friend of mine had 2 C-sections and when she got pregnant with her third she had a lot of pain. The Dr said it was scar tissue too, and there was not alot she could do. Although they recommended that she get maternity pants with a really tight belly, which "held her in" so to speak. It took alot of the pressure off and helped with the pain a lot. Kinda like support hose.....maybe you could try a pair of those.

Hey everyone!!

So I have a question... have you guys all registered yet? I haven't and am starting to think I am a bit behind.

Oh and something for everyone to think about... I think we should have a "labor buddy" just someone else in the group who we will exchange cell phone numbers with so that our buddy can post for us while in the hospital. I saw on another board that one of the girls had sent a text to her friend letting her know that the baby was born and that all was well and as we get closer I thought it would be nice to be able to not have everyone worry if someone is MIA for a few days.

What does everyone think?

Happy weekend!!! (I'm working )

Kandy -- I am so sorry about all pain. At least you have meds just in case for relief! Congrats on passing the GTT! Can you believe your baby is almost 2#?? I'll be 24 weeks next wednesday when we go for another u/s. I hope the babes are at least 1 1/2# each.

Emilie -- I haven't had alot pains YET..sorry you're uncomfortable. Hey I have ? for ya...since you and I both have the monster-sized bbs...did you get stretch marks? i remember you saying you had "hickey-like" red spots...I still have those...have I been in denial, are these really stretch marks? They are under the breast thankfully.

Adarut -- I love the buddy system idea. I'm game!!
I registered early since my showers are in April and I'm having twins so I'm who knows if the babies will come before July. It doesn't take long. If you need any help I think several of us have done our research!

Hi rosie! Always great to hear from you. I understand..I sometimes feel too tired to post too. I try to sleep on my side especially the left b/c the books say you get more blood flow to the babies or something. But I flip from side to side all night and end up on back sometimes. My doc said "don't worry" "your body will let ya know if something is wrong"...like when I can't breathe!! I'm sure someone else can add their 2 cents.

I am in for the buddy game, but how will we exchange numbers and with whom?

As for the cramping Kandi, been there done that. They gave me pain meds too, but I didn't take them. I didn't have any past surgery so I don't know what caused mine? If you have BV that can cause cramping too. I had it when I was 15 weeks, it sucks, but it is easy to treat. For sleeping on you back, you just can't help it sometimes, I always wake up on my back and just switch to a side, I sleep on both my right and left. How could you just sleep on one side? My neck would get stiff.

AFM: My girls are finially getting better. I all most wish I would'nt have had the test down for fifth disease. I hate knowing that I could come down with it and I am sure as soon as one of my girls gets a fever I am going to be scared!!!! Anybody else concered about this??? What about the teachers we have out there? Is it as common as the internet seems to say it is?

I think the easiest way to do it will be to see who is intested and then either do it by who is local to you or by due date. Like matching me (due 7/3) with someone who is due a week or two later that way there is less of a chance that we are both in labor at the same time.

Then numbers can be PM'd to your "buddy".

Sound like a good system to everyone? Any ideas to improve the system are incouraged!

Hopeful - check out this link. Fifth Disease in Pregnancy - March of Dimes It is to the march of dimes about firth disease. Even if you were to contract it (which 1 in 400 pregnant women do) the chances of fetal complications is much higher in women who are less than 20 weeks pregnant. So don't worry so much (pot calling kettle)!!!

Count me in on the buddy system - it is a little overwhelming to think that i only 15 more weeks

kandi - i am so sorry that you are having so much pain, i hope that the medication helps

rosie - i try to sleep on my side but there has been times that i have ended up on my back, by the hip pain can be a little much if you stay on one side for too long

ada - i have registered because i have family all over the place and they want to know, but i am not having my baby shower until the end of may because no one has a house to fit everyone so we want it warm outside, hopefully it doesn't rain

emilie - yes, i feel pressure and sometimes that round ligament pains are a bit intense. everything is growing and getting squished in there, so i think it is something that we are just going to have to get used to because it is only going to get worse as we get bigger!!!

hope that you are enjoying the weekend, i am watching the flyers lose :0(

Count me in on the buddy system as well!!! We were all set to order our crib when DH and I happened to walk into a store and fell in LOVE with another. Now I am torn and not sure what to do. Taking my mom and our "interior designer" (good family friend who is a designer helping us put everything together) to see...AHHHH I'm so torn!!! However, I must say, shopping for all this furniture is SO FUN! DH actually enjoyed being at this store, we were there for almost 2 hours and he had A LOT of opinions, so cute!

I'm also all for the buddy system.

Jamie-I'm also feeling the kicks up high. At my last apointment I was told baby was head down which would explain why for me.

Lisa-Do you look and fell like your babies are heavier? I hadn't thought about the size of the baby until that last u/s and then afterwards thought wow 2lbs what will I look like physically after the baby grows another 4-5lbs gheeezzzzzz . I can't even imagine with 2.

AFM-Today was a better day. I feel so silly saying this because I have been in the worse pain ever these last 4 days but after really thinking about it and seeing that the pain meds were not working I'm an starting to think that my problems are milk related. Last week I started eating a vanilla ice cream cone a day and I already know that I don't tolerate whole milk that well but have never had this type of reaction. I ate of bowl of cereal today with organic 2% milk and the pain appeared about an hour later. Not as bad as previous days but I could tell it had the potential to build back up. Since I hadn't had a good poop in about a week I took some MOM. Can I tell you that I started to pass gas (I know TMI) and could feel relief. Over the next couple of hours I haven't felt any of the cramping at all and have pooped a couple of times. I've only told you ladies and DH because I am embarasssed if I've had everyone worrying about PTL and it was just very bad gas. I can't say for 100% certainity but I will probably know for sure tomorrow. I will be staying away from dairy for the next week or two just to make sure and will have to find another way to get my extra calcium.

Kandy -- I have had some really intense gas pains. It sucks. Maybe you are on to something with milk thing.
About the babies weights, I guess I just meant I think it so amazing that they are already 1 1/2 to 2# at this point. I read the average for twins at 24 weeks was 1 1/2# each (so 3# for me total) ...I'm not sure what average is for a singleton. I look "normal" pregnant for 6 months from what people say. Actually most people look surprised that I'm already 6 months "with twins". I was measuring 5 weeks ahead at 21 weeks. So far...I feel fine...but I know I have alot of growth spurts coming!!

History -- I was feeling "thumps" down below last week and know I feel kicks/thumps up in my rib area too. I love it!! I have only been able to feel them for the past week....

I had my first shower/bbq today with a few friends. I got a bouncey, washclothes, nipples, and pink & blue robes. It was really fun!
