YAY Fawn!!! That's awesome! Thanks for the updates Jamie!

Jamie - they told me that I could continue to pump or feed either way but that I have to sterilize the pump pieces, but the milk I've pumped is still good (so those will be DH's feedings for Payton this weekend so I can get some snooze time!) Basically, my feeding consists of pumping 1/2 oz prior to feeding him, giving him gas drops before feeding, feed from one boobus, change him & put the meds on a qtip and spread it on his tongue while I'm changing him, wash my boobus off with baby soap and water, pat it dry, put the same liquid meds that he's on onto my boobus, let it air dry for 15 minutes and put a new boobus pad on every feeding. I had stopped pumping for just a day or so because it was a little too tender for my nipps and boobus but I'm back doing it cuz I can tell it makes a difference in his demeanor. But holy smokes! What a chore it is to finally sit down and feed him. I'm only doing the meds in the daytime (bottle says 4x per day) cuz the nighttime feedings are difficult enough w/out adding MORE stuff in there!
And boy, did he show his colic last night...from 8:45pm-2am he was SCREAMING nonstop and I'd get him to fall asleep, only to place him in his bassinet and have him wake right back up again. I took him for a car ride, swinged him, bouncied him, gave him gas drops, gave him gripe water, fed him, changed him, burped him, walked him around, sang to him...nuthin. Finally DH came to the rescue (he claims when he hears both of us (me and PJ) crying, he knows it's time to step in...) and just put him in his crib to cry it out for about 20 minutes and went and got him and PJ was passed out. I just feel so bad - we have no clue what his deal is and try everything...I guess that's the nature of the colic. I just keep telling myself that it's going to get easier. And I love him so so much, but man! There's only so much a supermom can take!!!

PS - And let me tell you how tired I am of hearing people tell me "sleep when he sleeps." Well ya know what, it's just not that easy. I gotta eat sometime and my house is a disaster. The house keeps waiting, but my stomach does not. And it's next to impossible to go to sleep when you have horrible heartburn from scarfing something down in the 20 seconds you have to make, eat and clean up lunch before the yelling starts again!

Amen Sister! Riley sleeps a good bit but sometimes the gas is just makes him scream and scream and you feel so bad cause you can actually hear and feel it!

Are we supposed to be posting in a different forum or do we stay here?

Ended up in the ER last night with a fever of 102. They couldn't find out what was wrong with me so they sent me home and told me to take tylenol. I still have abnormal liver enzymes and they found some abnormal blood cells. Saw my ob today. She didn't see anything wrong but took a culture to check for a uterine infection. She put me on antibiotics to help my body fight this. IT is so hard to eat and breastfeed when your body aches terribly and all I want to do is sleep. But I know that breastfeeding is best for her so I continue to do it. I do worry that I don't eat enough and it will affect my milk production. Tomorrow I see my primary care to talk about my liver and the blood tests. I also still have a PUPPS rash that is itching like crazy with this humidity.

Jamie-thanks! I definitely think this is the hardest job I've ever had!!!

Mommas, we had a breakthrough moment last night. We ran out of options so dh put him in the crib crying & shut the door & watched the monitor. He cried himself to sleep after just a few minutes and slept for 6 hours. Unbelieveable! I feel so bad, dh has stayed up the past two nights...but what a miracle! On a side note I'm going to have to call my doc today, I dunno if the meds are helping my little man but my nips feel like they're gonna fall off! Yeowch!!! Gotta get me on something else for sure!

Hi girls, just a quick update. Nathaniel Lee Eutzy & I are doing great. Being a mommy is the most amazing gift I have ever been given. I'm a bit sore, still real swollen everywhere. Even down there, had major issues with not even being able to pee because of the swelling. I never dilated past 1cm even after 12 hours of pitocin & constant hard contractions, effaced only to 30%. OB said we could turn off the pit for a few hours to let me rest and try again, but it wasnt favorable, but my choice. DH & I just said we just want him. I have had enough. Section wasnt so bad, just didnt like not being able to see anything. Had major issues with bleeding, but not enough to kick my hubby out. He watched the entire procedure. There was so much fluid, swelling & bleeding that even after I was cut he had to be vac'd out. Tiny little bruising, but not much. Anyways I will post again later. We are all doing well & just thrilled to finally have him.

Shlify-any news yet?
hope everyone else is well.

Hi everyone!! Ayden Riley was born yesterday!! She was 7lbs 10 oz and 20 inches long! I went into labor with her on my own, without having to be induced at 9:30 on Wednesday night and had her last night at 5:30 pm. Had major painful contractions from 9:30 until 5 a.m. and then had the epidural! Pushed for 20 min and that was it!! Congrats Fawn! I think all of the hot mama's have had their babies! Crazy all of the stuff we went through to get them and we now have them, I never thought it was possible but we are all so blessed to finally have our little ones with us!

Thanks so much. I saw my OB and she didn't see anything wrong with my breasts, uterus, or stitches. She did give me an antibiotic just in case to maybe help with the fever. Today I went to my primary care. He also has no idea what is wrong. He did an EKG, chest x-ray, and a crazy amount of blood tests. Some of the blood tests came back and I have abnormal cells. He said that is common with people who have mono so now I am being tested for that. We called the pediatrician because I am so worried that Leah is going to get whatever I have. They said she should be fine and that I should continue breastfeeding because it is the best thing for her. Breastfeeding is killing me because the fever is well over 102 so I am so achy. I am having such a hard time even wanting to hold the baby because I feel so awful and I know my poor husband is frustrated with everything. But after a good cry I did realize that breastfeeding is the best thing I can do for her. I just didn't ever think after delivery something like this could happen and it has put such a damper on the great joy in our life.

I also found out that I was diagnosed with HELP when I was pregnant and that it does damagae to your liver. If we decided to have another child, I would once again develop this HELP syndrome and my liver is already having a very difficult time recovering. So much bad news in such a short time.
