I have also noticed a difference with the formula change and also I changed her bottles to Dr. Browns and she sucks down 3 ounces where with the Nuk bottles she would get down 2 ounces and be fussy!! Her bowel movements also started to change and she is not struggling with them she used to scream her head off now she just cries when she wants it changed Lyla sleeps through the night well but like I said she wants to sleep with me! I hope I can get her to go in her crib soon.....

I am breastfeeding only. Sadie hasn't had a bottle yet! We just gave her a pacifier for the first time this week. I did start pumping, I pump once a day to build my supply when I go back to work. My goal is breastmilk only for 6 months.

Krista-When I pump one breast always has more milk than the other. And I noticed that my left breast is always leaking more than the right. I think thats normal.

Hi guys, I hope everyone is doing good. I never seem to have two spare seconds to get on here anymore, and my sanity is suffering, lol. Im trying to keep up with everyone as much as possible.

We are having the same digestive and sleep issues it seems. Maybe we were a cursed month, lol. I have switched Reese from Enfimil w/ Lipils to the Enfimil Gentlease. I guess the animal proteins in the gentlease are paritally broken down already and dont make her belly work so hard. I really havent noticed too much of a difference yet though. I am doing breastfeeding as much as I can and only supplementing with the formula. Im starting to wonder if thats our problem, upsetting her belly going back and forth. We are also using the Mylicon Drops, again, not for sure if those are working or not. I can hear her poor little belly gurgling and bubbling when she eats.

As for sleeping, Dh works until 11pm and gets home about 1130. I feed her about 9-930pm and nap with her until Daddy gets home, then somewhere between 11-1am she will feed again and then we are off to bed. She wakes up somewhere around 4-5am and again between 8-9am. We get a good solid 5 hours the first part of the night and 3-4 the second part of the night. Our problem is that the little bugger WILL NOT sleep anywhere except our bed. This is the most confusing and frustrating part for me so far. The doctor, and everyone I talk to, says that you can not spoil a newborn and that when they cry, to hold them, blah blah blah. But it seems like this little girl knows exactly what shes doing. Even during the day, she will not sleep unless she's being held. If I set her down in the crib, bassinet, bouncy, swing or anywhere else, she's wide awake and crying in 5 minutes. If I hold her on my lap, she's out for hours. Same story at night, if I put her anywhere but our bed, she's up and screaming. If I put her in our bed, we get awesome sleep. So, what do I do? Shes way too young to cry it out....they say not to even attempt that until atleast 6-8 months old. I have no clue what to do, but will take any advice or suggestions because I do not want this habit to stick around. I want her to nap in her bassinet and sleep in her crib, or bassinet at the least at night too. I could really use some help here if anyone has any suggestions.

How is everyones hormones/emotions going? Im still having a hard time, though its much better than that first week. There are some things going on that Im not proud of and are hard to talk about, but I think that day by day, things are getting easier, either that, or Im just dealing better, I dont know. I really hope everyone else is doing great in this department...and good luck to those having marital difficulties, Im so sorry for that.

Kendall is so cute! I love that flower picture!
Lin- Did you get a pink onsie from Dr. Springer? I sent them a birth announcement.

I have to say since we put Sadie in our bed sleeping in her boppy, all three of us have been getting much better sleep!

I am considering joining Stroller Strides. Anyone every hear of this? Its a workout class that you do with your baby, mainly walking, stretching and abs. I have a friend from college who is an instructor. Sounds like it might be fun and I don't have to leave the baby!

Sorry, I have been MIA. I want to thank everyone here, we are definately one big family. I have been trying to get back in the swing of things.

My birth story is as follows: I went in on Sept 29 at 8:00pm to start the induction. Was given the pill, they kept checking to see if I was dialated at all. They started the Pitocin the morning of the 30th. By the end of the day I was dialated about a fingertip and at this point I am on oxygen. The doctor came in several times during the day, at the end she said we have a choice we can either go home and come back in a few days to start over or we can start over tomorrow. I decided what is the point to go home just to come back, so I said go ahead. So, we started over with the cervical suppository. They said if everything looked good they would take me off the monitors for a while, but they never did come off. The next morning the Pitocin was started and the other ob came in and broke my water, I finally started dialating at one point I went from 3 to 6cm. They had me on oxygen again. By this time I am exhausted and gave into having an epidural, which it took him 2 tries to ge it in. A little while later they said I was 10cm and fully effaced, they let me stay that way for a while, when I said I couldn't hold back anymore they all came in and let me start pushing and for the next 3 hours, at the 3 hour mark she told me either we could try forceps or we would have to do c-section. By this time, the room was very busy the dr and about 6 nurses were in my room. I told her to try the forceps first, so she did and finally at 10:57 on 10/1 he arrived at 8lbs 10.3oz with a full head of hair. He was not breathing right away, because of his tramatic entry into the world. He did finally give a weak cry and then was taken to the nursery and put on oxygen while the dr finished with me. I had a sandwich and then went and spent time in the nursery before going to my room. After having all the fluids I blew up like the Michelin man, to the point I could not even fit any shoes and had trouble walking. I am past that now and back to work.

I will try to keep up I know are family here keeps growing and I have you all in my prayers.

I am going to try and figure out how to add some pictures of my beautiful bown hair/blue eye little miracle.

P.S - I don't know why everybody wants the epidural, I still felt everything.

karz- Congrats on your baby boy!

Btw, I loved the epidural.. Now that I think about it, it took all the feeling away and I couldn't productively push.
