What an overwhelming but wonderful day!!! Had my first ultrasound this morning. One perfect little bean measuring 6w1d (it has been 6w5d since last AF). The heart rate was 122. We got a picture and heard the sweet little heartbeat. It was like music to my ears and would have loved to lay there and look and listen all day! RE said placenta and everything looks great! I go for my second ultrasound on 3\11 and if everything still looks good then, he will release me to my regular OB. I feel amazing today and now everything now feels real!
Symptoms are as follows -extremely sore bb's -hungry all the time -m\s in the middle of night -nausea in the morning -very thirsty -Tired all day long

Congrats Hope1779....
wowwwWWW.... There are good news from every where... It feels like a small family... I feel so attached to all ladies and your babies. Garnet - I feel like jumping since I read your post regarding the miscarriage rates dropping to 1/2%... I am 8 weeks now and it feels so good that this is REAL... If you guys dont mind... i think we should introduce ourselves to each other. In that way we'll get a better feel of bonding. Here goes mine: My name is Misbah. I am an Electrical Engineer by profession living in San Jose, CA for past 3 years. My husband is an electrical engineer too and we are basically from Pakistan. Our family is in Pakistan but we have a lot of friends here. We tried to concieve as soon as we got married... as we both loved children but after 21/2 years I came to know that my tubes are so tiny that the egg never passes through them (I was born very tiny... ). So I had no other option except IVF. I had a failed fresh cycle and it was my 1st attempt for FET... We are so thankful to Almighty GOD that HE listened to our prayers.I hope to hear from all my October buddies... ![]() Take care Misbah

Hi Girls!!
It is SOO great to read about all of these fantastic ultrasounds!! I have my next one on Friday- I will be 7 weeks 1 day then- last time we saw the h/b but didn't hear it, so maybe we will be able to on Friday?! My hubby won't be able to come Fri. so I am bringing my mom- I am sure it will an incredible experience for both of us! ![]() Misbah- I love your idea about introducing ourselves! We talk about our little beans so much that we really forget about talking about who WE are! So....here I go: I live with my husband, Darren, in Los Angeles, CA. We have 5 animals; 3 dogs, 1 cat & 1 horse! We were both born & raised here, & have all of our family, parents, & friends from grade school still living close to us. I am a Casting Director for Commercials, TV & Film. I work out of my house but lately my biz has been slow so I haven't been working at all- which is actually pretty nice . Darren works in wholesale clothing- which means LOTS of free clothes for me! Yay!!We tried for 6 mos. to get preg. before I did get pregnant in Feb 07, but soon after had an ovarian cyst rupture which caused internal bleeding, an emergency surgery, 4 day hospital stay, 5 blood transfusions & loss of pregnancy. Well... got preg. again Sep AND Oct of '08 with my 1st RE- lost them both very early. NEW RE in December figured out I have blood clotting issues- I am on blood thinners and Wa-La...I am farther along then I have ever been!!! I can't wait to read all of your stories to get to know everyone a little better. AND Hope1779: I can relate to ALL of your symptoms! At about 6pm I am totally useless (exhausted!) but really all day I am struggling to keep my energy up. I am going to the bathroom so much more- even getting up 2 times during the night - which I NEVER used to do! Question: what is M/S?

Here is my story -
My name is Lyssa I am a part-time stay at home Mom and part-time nanny. My husband Stephen is a Chemical Engineer. We live in Raleigh, NC with our soon to be adopted son Austen he is now 9 and we have had guardianship of him since Oct 2006. We started fertility treatments one month before we found out Austen would be coming to live with us. He is a distant family member of mine. Once he came we put the treatments on hold to spend all of our time and energy on him. He was very neglected and needed LOTS of attention. I also didn't want to be cranky from the meds while trying to bond with our new guy. He is now very well adjusted. We moved from Northern VA (DC area) in May of last year and now that he is settled into the new house and school. We decided to try again. Our first cycle in Dec didn't work as my eggs were to small. Then Jan IUI cycle worked. We feel so blessed to have only had to try twice. We are hoping to try once more soon after this baby is born and then we will be complete... So our house will be full with two dogs, three children and us... So that is my story.

Hey ladies!
Michelle, M/S is morning sickness. Which i am having right now. LOL So I had a major chance of pregnant brain last night. I went to deposit a check through the ATM and grabbed my receipt and drove off without my checkcard. Never have i done this before so I have to blame the pregnancy. haha. It is so good to hear everybody stories. Such a great idea. As for me, my name is Shanna and I live with my husband David just outside of Dallas, Texas. We have two cats, which I just adore. I'm a business auditor for a large company that has been in the news a lot so I'll reframe from mentioning them (in case I get some backlash on the boards..haha jk). We've been trying off and on to get pregnant and nothing was happening and dr figured it was my tubes and low and behold it was. So after one failed fresh cycle, here I am almost 8 weeks along with my only frozen blast. Yayyyyy! It only takes one. We have another sono next week. i can't wait! Ok back to work now....blahhh

My story: My name is Ann. I live in Iowa and am the Director of a home health agency. My boyfriend and I have been together for 11 years and have been trying to conceive for about 4-1/2 years. We just closed on our first house on Dec 30, 2008. So, we closed on a house, did major construction in it and moved all during my IVF cycle (let's not forget about Christmas and New Year's...). We may have lost our minds...
We had two dogs, a cat & a parrot!

My turn: I am Jessie, I married my high school sweetheart almost six years ago. He is in the Air Force and I just move around from state to state with him and try to work on college. I am just a simple pharmacy technician for now. We are currently in San Antonio with orders to move to Aurora Colorado in less then a month! We have one kitty, Leopold, that I adore and spoil way toooo much. We tried getting pregnant as soon as we got married. Nothing ever happened and I had to wait for the military to decide that I deserved help. That took over four years and then I sat on the waiting list for RE for a year! So here we are! Just waiting to move and waiting for the babies!

Hello girls!! It's so wonderful to hear all these great stories!!
Michelle- I definately think they should be able to let you hear the heartbeat. It's just a matter of having the doppler capability on the ultrasound machine really. If they don't, just ask. You usually can't hear the heartbeat on the outside of the belly with the doppler until about 10-11 weeks. Good luck, hope it brings you wonderful news!! And wow, you sure have been through alot! And as much as lovenox sucks, I believe it's a miracle drug! As in your story, my last 4 miscarriages I haven't made it much farther than 5 weeks too. Now I'm 9 weeks and doing great! I hope only the same for you!!! Jessibessie- I married my highschool sweetheart too!! We always laugh when we look back at our prom pics together! Who knew we'd be together today! AnnRN- congrats on the new house and the new pregnancy! 2009 is going to bring you lots of wonderfu things, you sure have been busy! mss2069- LOL about your pregnancy brain fart, but that totally sucks about your atm card! And that one little frozen blast is one strong perfect one!! YAY!! Lysanne- wow so awesome about your adopted son. Everything sounds likes it's working out very well for you, that's wonderful!! And I agree if you want another one, try soon after the first, I wish I would have never waited, although I know it's all in God's timing, but I hate that my kids will be 4 years apart. So I had another ultrasound today. Everything looked great and baby is measuring 9 weeks 1 day. I was so nervous because I actually have not scanned myself in awhile because I'm too worried something will be wrong! But all is good and I'm so thankful!! Have a wonderful night ladies, good luck to everyone with appointments tomorrow and happy friday!!
