Floyd is adorable! Brayden is as well.

Just as I type this, I heard LJ making a deposit for mama.

Guess I have to run.

It was a little while ago, though, so it may have been discredited. However, I'm a big fan of the pacifier and encourage it, especially at night. My brother was a finger sucker and it took him forever to stop doing that. At least you can take a paci away, so I'd rather Floyd had that habit... Plus, I'm breastfeeding and sometimes I think he uses ME as a pacifier and I want to discourage that... My poor nipples can't take it...

We started Floyd in his cloth diapers the other day. He was too small before, or we would have started them sooner. So far I am loving them! We'll see if I feel the same after I go back to work, though. I know Jessica was planning to do cloth, too. Wonder how it is going...?

I'm attaching a pic of Floyd in his Halloween costume. We were going to go hang out with his cousins yesterday, but they have a cold going around their house, so just stayed home and handed out candy.

Hope everyone is doing great and getting into their routines. We're still struggling here, but it's getting better... This newborn thing is rough, but I'm already sad about him growing out of it. He'll never be this small or dependent again... SIGH!

i absolutely love your froggy!

It reminds me of the joy I felt when meeting Zack for the first time after all I went through while pregnant with him. All of us need to be cognizant of our bodies in this first year. Notice changes and bring those issues up with your doctors. I did not realize when preggers with Zack that my thyroid decided to stop working. I did notice that it was difficult to get rid of the baby weight (I was very athletic before and during half the pregnancy). I was tired all the time, irritable, depressed. I just thought it was all being tired from the baby, he was a hand full! Turns out that I needed medicine, but didn't find out until he was almost 2. I cannot begin to tell you the difference that little pill in the morning made. So I urge you all to be aware of changes that you may take as just normal after baby stuff. Don't forget the Mamas!

AFM - My blood pressure is still wacky. Yesterday it was 151/102 and that was at rest!! Most of the swelling is gone, which is great, I still get it in my hands when my blood pressure starts edging up. I'm exhausted all the time, but that's because someone decides he needs to eat 3 times a night. We're doing good with that. It's difficult getting a schedule down. LJ's umbilical cord finally fell off last night. YAY!! We can use the bath that quacks soon!! (baby shower gift). He is such a little gem. Hardly ever fussy and usually that's only so he can eat. He has this special noise he makes for me to know he's hungry. It's kind of like "EH!" which kind of sounds like "ham". My husband has been telling people he's said his first word already... weird man.

Speaking of husbands, he decided yesterday at LJ's two week appointment to get the swine flu vaccine. No problem. They gave him the mist one not the dead shot, and guess what happened about 6 hours later... the man was tossing up his toes in the bathroom. He had chills, thought he had a fever and this morning says his joints ache. Grrr... I didn't get the flu shots because I ALWAYS get the flu when I do and I don't when I don't. So I told darling husband to keep his ill-ing self away from me and the baby. I thought about shuttering him in the guest room and not allowing him in the rest of the house. Muahaha I hope he feels better soon. Men are such babies when they get sick. Worse than babies really.

thanks for letting everyone know .... i'm finally home and little Ms. Olivia is a beautiful wonderful daughter...we are totally obsessed and in awe of her every little movement...Olivia Wassup!.JPG

She's adorable! I love her eyes!!

We are just as obsessed with every one of LJ's movements as well, and noises and coos and facial expressions... OMG I can't get over how his expressions change so quickly and comically.

Just wanted to post that Floyd no longer fits in his newborn clothes. I can't believe it. Just three short weeks ago he was SWIMMING in them! He's getting chubby cheeks and turning into a fat little duck!

It's amazing how much they grow. Colton gained a pound in a week and grew an inch...another 2 lbs or so and he will be out of the 0-3 month clothes.

Sleeping when we can...LOL. I try and jump on here and FB when I can, but between catching up on sleep, things around the house and pumping before Colton wakes up, has been tough.

Aw... all our little ones are already growing up so fast...

I was wondering where everyone went, too! I have been sleeping until 10 or 11 every day, because that is the only way I can get anywhere close to eight hours of sleep at night. Of course, by the time I get up, I feel like half the day is gone...

I am having a hard time getting ANYTHING done around the house. I was very spoiled, because DH took 4 weeks off work. However, he's back at work now & doing frequent double shifts, so I am having to deal with the baby all alone. How in the heck do single moms do this? It's so time consuming and so hard! I am so happy that I get to be home for a few more weeks, but it's exhausting!

Oh I wish I could sleep for longer than a max of 3 hours at a time. LOL I try to nap when he does but with my blood pressure being wacko I can't always fall asleep.

Does anyone have a motor mouth for an infant? Holy toledo!! This little guy grunts up a storm. He's a really great baby. He doesn't fuss unless he is hungry and that is a distinctive noise, more like "are you going to feed me here?" and now he's developed this grunting that kind of sounds like machine gun fire every once in a while. He grunts all the time when he's trying to fill his diaper. Once he gets it done, then he has a fussy noise he makes to let you know he's ready to be changed. I can be dead asleep (amazing how my insomnia has been cured by this little guy... sleep deprivation therapy rofl) and he will start his little grunting routine and I will of course instantly wake up to any of his noises and then start to laugh because of the expressions on his face and his grunts oh my... it's pretty funny. So at 3am I'm staring at LJ giggling and my husband raises his head and asks if I need anything. NOPE, just have the giggles.

Not sure if it is the farmers harvesting their corn or dust in the house (haven't quite got everything back in order from my down time yet) but for the last two days I have awoken to a massive migraine. Unfortunately my migraine medicine, Relpax, causes my blood vessels to constrict which also causes my mammary glands to constrict which in turn causes much pain when little man nurses.

OH My... my husband and I were just talking about when the cattle were coming back to the barn and he told me that they would only be here for a short time this year because the owner was having a barn built at his house. An Amish man has been contracted to build the barn but is unable to start building it for a while because his 11 year old boy was just killed. It seems one of the larger tractors and grain cart were driving down the road and when it was passing the Amish buggy, the horse freaked a little and the boy was tossed from the buggy at which time the grain cart ran over his head. The only way they could identify him was that his hat rolled near the body and his name was in the hat. How devastating! It just breaks my heart for the family. I couldn't imagine watching this unfold. There really is no one at fault, the horse maybe, but it was doing what horses do. So sad, tragically sad. At least the little boy didn't feel anything. Makes me hold LJ and Zack all the closer. I always give the Amish a wide berth when passing and I slow way down simply because I have horses and know what they are capable of. I just want to cry for their loss.
