Trish - Good luck! Cant wait to hear how Jet's bith goes! Definately for you!

Jackie - Congrats on being off bedrest! I bet you are so happy about that! DH too!

Girl - Biting? Ouch! Curious what the LC says about that.

Alg - Glad your BP is going down. Sounds like the mommy group is a bit hit. Any helpful tips?

Yolanda - for hanging in there! Let the countdown begin!

Jen - Hmmm... I have a couple of freinds that said they went into labor after eating pineapple too. I am kind of scared to bd w/ DH but it sounds like it might be worth a go. How is your recovery this time from the c-sect?

Heather - you poor thing! I imagine you are very ready to meet the boys and get your body back! It is awesome you have made it to 37w! Hooray!

Michelle - sorry to hear your BP is wacky and you have to do the urine collection. With as many trips to the potty it must really suck!

Jill - Good luck!

AFM, it hit me that it will be a matter of DAYS till I meet my LO! All of the years trying and the past 9(10) months waitng and here we are. Really amazing! I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!

I know I have been pretty quiet lately, but not much to report. I was hoping at my ob appt yesterday he would tell me we would try inducing on friday. I have been told with GDD that they won't let me go past. We NO...instead he tells me that he wrote down my due date as Nov 18th, not 14 like he told me all along. He sent me for NST today...it went fine with flying colors. He didn't examine me yesterday as I had the Ultrasound on Thursday and was closed and long. I had to go the washroom when they let me in the room so by the time I got back he was already in the room so figured he didn't need to examine me. Then I left his office and went and spent 2.5 hours in line to get my flu shot. So maybe all that standing moved things along some. I go for another NST next tuesday and see my OB on thursday and if nothing happening by then we are going to talk about induction. I guess I should just be a little more patient...waited 2.5 years to get pregnant and waited 9+ months for this...guess a couple weeks aren't a big deal to wait still....YEAH RIGHT!!!!..tell that to a pregnant lady who isn't sleeping more than 1 hour at a time a night...it isn't fun!

Lisa, surprisingly my recovery from this c-section has gone so much smoother then the last. The doctor who performed my surgery took her time to ensure that she did everything in her power to keep the healing process as smooth as possible. She took the old incision scar out and created a new one. Plus I've been limiting my lifting of Ethan to a minimum and resting as much as I can while he's at my mother-in-law's. Rest is huge when it comes to healing. Only complaint I have right now is that as the nerve endings are growing back I feel like I'm ripping in two throughout the night as I get up with Abby. During the day it's fine, night hurts most.

Tracy, sorry to hear that they didn't communicate your due date correctly. I went into labor at 38w6d so again, don't count yourself out. But even if you do go to your due date, it's only a matter of days away. Soon enough you'll be holding your beautiful baby boy and you'll realize that each day was so worth it! Plus if you plan to nurse, the being up every hour helps prepare you.

What a win for the Phillies the other night!
Everytime I watch these games, I think I'm going into labor.

Let's hope they win tonite my phello Phillies phan!
If they do, perhaps we'll ALL go into labor!!

Last day at work.. I admit that I feel great and could have lasted at work until my due date but that's ok....still a million things to do.

Had a burst of energy last night and cleaned up the house.

I am definitely eating some pineapples.

Bullywrinkles- we mostly talked about BF, and sleeping patterns. I did find out that the sucking pattern needs to be stimulated a little w/ my LO and that it is true, not to use lotion of any kind until they are 6mos old!

GO Phillies!!!! that is so funny that you are hoping for labor! When the NLCS was going on the nurses kept threatening to turn my tv off, because they thought that was causing my BP to rise!!!!!

I thought for sure with the full moon that someone would go into labor!!!!!!!

Tracy - Hang in there! It must have been so frustrating that the Dr moved your due date back! Yeah, it is just a few days but to a very pregnant lady every day feels like forever right now. Hope you go in to labor soon and can aviod the induction.

Jen - So glad you are recoving ok from the surgery. It must really hurt for those nerves to grow back! Sounds like you are doing your best to rest up and help you body to heal. Do you have to take anything at night for the pain?

Alg - Thats really neat you were able to connect w/ other new mommies. How is Willie doing? Does he sleep pretty good at night? I know that must be hard w/ trying to BF. Thanks for the lotion tip!

Karystos - Sounds like you are nesting!

AFM, Last night I bd w/ DH. It was not so bad afterall! Had a few contractions, then nothing. Today I walked again. Tomorrow I have my 39w appt so i am just hoping for some progress.

hey ladies,
just want to say i am routing for all of you that will be delivering soon and thinking about all of you with your babes at home. i hope everyone is well.

i have been quiet because i have not been feeling so hot. yesterday i went to my ob and my blood pressure was up, very painful extremely swollen feet all the way up my thighs, protein in my urine so they sent me to the hospital. had a nst, blood work and more pee samples taken and was released. they are going to see me again tomorrow and friday and then assess what to do. i will be 35 weeks on saturday so these babes might be coming out of me soon.

Galapagos: sounds like your LOs might be coming soon. Be very careful and if any of your symptoms get worse, I would call your DR immediately. If you have to do the 24 hr urine, I would also call the lab to make sure whatever instructions you are given are correct. I was so happy to be done with the 24 hr collection, then I take it to the lab and they tell me I did it wrong. They're still processing it and if there is any problem, I may have to do it again. My midwife doesn't think that there will be a problem, but I would check with the lab just so you don't have to go through the stress of it all.

Krystos: if it's not Galapagos that goes next, it sounds like it will be you. Cleaning house must mean you are really close.

Trish: Okay, so you're really the next to go. Hope all is going well and your LO is in your arms soon.

Well, had another apt today. I had an u/s which my DH was very happy to see our LO. He was wondering when we were going to have another u/s. Had a normal NST. Same bp (130/90) sitting but better when laying down 112/80. I go back on Monday, my due date. Guess we'll see what happens then. Maybe I'll go into labor before then?? I'm eating pinapple ASAP, and if I can persuade my DH, a little BD for me too.

How are all the super troopers holding out? I am sure everyone is just about as uncomfortable as I am so I will spare everyone the complaints.

How many times have you heard "you look like you are going to burst". or better yet "keep those babies (or baby) in as long as you can". I want to punch those people square in the nose even if I know they are right

Congratulations to all the new little pumpkins we have! I love hearing all the updates and hope everyone is adjusting well.

I had had a fun false alarm on Tuesday. Went for my scheduled NST and US. My BP was also elevated so I was sent up the elevators to L&D. I could hardly focus on my US after that news! Baby A is around 5lbs 3oz and Baby B is around 5 lbs 11ozs. Talk about a total shock, I am petite so I imagine I look like a weeble wobble to people when I walk. I told my husband I now know where they send the mean nurses in the hospital. Tri-age. I really had a feeling I wouldn't be staying around long so the waiting was enough to kill me. I did manage to walk in the bathroom on some poor lady trying to collect her urine sample so that was enough to make me want to hide in my lovely hospital gown. I was finally released. I go back for my NST test on Friday and OB appointment. Hopefully I will have some good news. I will be at 37 weeks tomorrow (full term for thing one and thing two) which actually seems like 37 years. The girls are squatters. I sent eviction papers two weeks ago and other then some cramping and feeling "yucky" every other day (isn't that odd?). I am still veritcal, still working, and swollen like the stay puff marshmellow man. As luck would have it, I have a sick little guy at home too. Seems to be a slight bug. I told my DH that I am certain getting physically ill would likely induce labor, but doesn't sound fun. I have tried everything at this point. My next step is black licorice (which I never heard and detest, but bottoms up at this point)?!

Keep the updates coming! I enjoy hearing how everyone is doing. Wishing everyone the VERY best!

Well, I am nesting but sad today with the Phillies losing.

My belly though is still high, my cervix is closed and I don't have any contractions.
So if I am close, it will be a surprise.

Hello all! Just dropping in to see if we have any new babies. Still waiting for an update on Jewelann...can't believe she hasn't had time to update us (joking of course).

I have a new symptom to add to this pregnancy.

Pregnancy Induced Carpal Tunnel Syndrom

Apparently you can prevent some of the symptoms with wrist splints that you wear at night when you sleep (ha, sleep! who does that anymore). I only have 4 more days so I'm just going to complain about it instead of paying the expense for the splints. You guys are the only ones I can complain to. It like everything else is suppose to get better once this baby finally decides to show up.

Ok enough about me---hang in there ladies

Galapagos - sounds like you might go soon. Hope you are feeling better!

Michelle - bring on the bd & pineapple! Cant hurt to try right?

Pookie - what an ordeal! Glad you are back home. Hopefully the "squatters" will vacate soon! I know I sent an eviction notice to mine and he does not seem to care. Isnt it crazy how people will make those comments and you just want to strangle them. I have gotten a lot of that too. Yeah, they may be right but when we are in the home stretch here we are not in the mood!

Karystos - maybe the nesting will help loosen things up down there! At the very least your house will be clean!

Yolanda - My hands and wrists hurt at night too. It started with just my hands going numb. Now they are super sore and painful. Not fun!

Trish - Hope you are holding up ok and baby Jet is here! Cant wait to hear how the induction went!

AFM, appt today revealed I am not progressing. Cervix is soft, 50% effaced, NO DIALATION! I was so bummed. I have been walking and bd'ing and was really hoping for some change. Dr. said that if still no changes at next weeks appt (fri) I will be induced the following Mon at the latest. I asked why we would not go a week past due and he said that because "conditions dont seem favorable" he does not want me to wait. I just worry about the induction leading to a c-section. Not the end of the world, I just dont want that difficult recovery. On the menu tonight: lots of pineapple, even more BD'ing and that I go into labor on my own soon!!!!!

Talking

Oh Yolanda, I feel for you. My cousin's wife had carpal tunnel with her pregnancy and said it was horrible and I think it took her about a week after delivery to recover. I hope yours doesn't get too bad and it resolves quickly.

Lisa, here's praying that everything works and that baby comes quickly.

Pookie, you make me laugh ( Thing 1 and Thing 2!) Hope they're not waiting to learn to read to finally follow the eviction notice Yay for 37 weeks. Maybe if you celebrate with licorice, pineapple, BD, and walking oh ya and Mexican food, they'll be well on their way.

Krystos, I never felt my contractions until my midwife told me the contractions can feel like menstrual cramps and those are the ones that help soften your cervix. Well I'll be if it wasn't the next day that I was feeling menstrual like cramps on an off throughout the day. So here's to the power of suggestion and hoping you start feeling those cramps. (am I evil for suggesting such things?)

Galapagos, let us know what they decide. Praying everything goes well with your appointments and if your LOs come early, praying for their best health.

AFM: no BD, and no pineapple today. But boy did my hips hurt. Multiple contractions at dinner too, but then they stopped. I wonder if this is just play practice or if this is gearing up practice. I wish there was some way to tell.
