Jen - How funny, we may end up with the same EDD!!! The first day of my last cycle was 1/27 and it appears that the full moon on 2/9 was the magic night! I told my DH, wouldn't it be funny if we conceived the baby on a full moon and end up delivering on 10/31-Halloween!!

You are a trooper....there is no way I would even want to attempt a VBAC. I loved my c-section!

Our group is really starting to grow, this is exciting. I always read the thread for Sept '08 due dates but never actually posted anything. I was too afraid of having another miscarriage. I didn't actually start to enjoy my pregnancy until I was 24 weeks b/c I figured if something was going to go wrong I could just deliver her and she would be viable at 24 weeks. I am not going to do that this time. I am going to enjoy every second b/c this will probably be our last child. I could have another one but I know my husband is good with two.

Melissa, we are almost on the same cycle. The first day of my last period was 1/29. I'm going to try and stay away from Halloween if possible. I will probably end up with a repeat c-section just because it hasn't been two years in between pregnancies. I guess I am the weird one, not surprising if you know me, because I want to experience labor and pushing. My c-section was great but I had a rough time healing from it so that is where I have some anxiety this time around. However, my Ob tells me that a repeat will be smooth as silk!

Jen - I won't deliver on the 31st either. I hope I could do it on 10/23. That would be my 34th b-day! There are a ton of people in my family born on the 23rd including my daughter (9/23)!

Funny you should mention birthdays. My son was born on 3/17 (St Patrick's day)....it's also my FIL's birthday. Then four months later, on the same day, DH's cousin had her second daughter (and she's already 17 weeks pregnant with #3), then two months after that is Dh's uncle's birthday. We have lots of March birthdays in DH's family, including his cousin's daughter who was born the day before Ethan (almost 24 hours to the dot) at the same hospital we were in. So we are happy for a late October/early November baby. My mom is trying to get me to schedule it for my grandma's 85th birthday, we lost my grandpa this year and she thinks it'll be a big pick-me-up for grandma to share the date with her newest great grandchild. I told her to slow down, first I have to see this miracle baby is viable before I start planning dates!

Jen - Wow...you do have a bunch of family b-day's all together!!! Isn't it hard to believe your little one is about to be a year old? I always heard that they grow so fast but until you experience it, you just don't understand! As for the little bean growing in your belly, it could be born on your Grandma's birthday. Ryleigh was born on my DH's Grandma's b-day! I'm also sorry to hear of the loss of your Grandpa, I know how painful that can be.

I haven't told anyone in my family yet. I'm dying to tell them it was a natural cycle but I really wanted to wait a little longer. Is anyone else waiting to tell their families or has everyone spilled the beans!!!

Hey ladies....we are starting to get a nice sized group which will continue to grow in the future! I was wondering if any of us live in the same city? Stranger things have happened. When I was reading the thread for Sept 08 due date buddies, I emailed a girl b/c she looked familiar and come to find out we actually went to the same high school in a small Florida town. Currently, I live in Jacksonville, FL. Is there anyone living close to me?

Hi Mel-in-Jax - I live about as far away from you as possible, in Australia, so doubt we'll be running into each other!! I've told my Mum & Dad, my BF, another close friend, my brother & my boss... that's it for me, I'm not telling anyone else until the 12 week scan! I'm find it really hard keeping it from other friends, but definately won't cave.

Jen - I know what you mean, I really want to experience natural child birth, I've got no doubt that at the time I'll be wondering what I was thinking!

As for me, I got my first beta result back yesterday 16dpiui - 304!!! YAY, ultrasound is scheduled for 31st March, just past the 7 week mark... can't wait to see & hear the heartbeat. My due date is 13th November.... that's Friday 13th November (eek)!

I'm happy to say I'm joining the November club! Just got my yesterday and my beta was 119 (11 dpo). I am cautiously excited, since my last preganancy was ectopic. We did IUI + injectables for the first time and it worked! The biggest concern was that I had 4 follies, all on my left side...which of course was the tube that partially ruptured. But they feel good that my number was so high being only 11 dpo. 2nd beta is Monday...that will really tell us if this one will be viable. But I am feeling confident it is! Can't wait to really start feeling pregnant!

Girl - thank you for the list. My first ultrasound is actually next Friday the 13th at 1 p.m. My first appointment is the 25th.

I live in Indiana. I have told my parents, you guys, and a few close friends. My DH has told his parents, as well as his aunts and uncles. I wanted to keep it small until after the first ultrasound, same as we did with Ethan....but DH got a little carried away. We plan on making an announcement after we see a heartbeat. Same as we did with Ethan. Only Ethan will be making the announcement for us by wearing an "I'm the big brother" tshirt!

Makenalelu - congratulations on your beta. Sounds great for 11dpo. My first pregnancy was ectopic as well so I know of the "cautiously optimistic" feelings you are going through. But enjoy each moment. You are pregnant!

Karen - Wow...Australia is REALLY far away!! Thanks for starting the list. My first u/s is on 3/17, same as Sheri and also Ethan's 1st b-day.....yay Jen!!!

Herta - Canada is not too close either!!! My DH did the same thing the first time. I did end up having a miscarriage and we had to go back and tell everyone and it was awful. I guess that is why I'm so cautious. But I have a feeling that everyone here will be just fine. We are having some great beta's!!! I really wish my OB would have taken them but he didn't. I guess I should have insisted b/c I'm going to go crazy before the 17th!

Makenalelu - Congrats and welcome!!!! We did an IUI w/ injectables and ended up w/ my DD, who is 5 months old now! I had a lot of follies too but thank goodness, I only ended up with one little bean. I was upset that we didn't end up with twins but after having one baby I really don't see how people handle multiples!! Although I'm sure we would have managed.

Jen - We are going to tell the family the EXACT same way, that is too funny!!! In fact we are going to buy it today! I want to see how long it takes them to notice the shirt. My family lives about 4 1/2 hours away so we have made arrangements to go see them at the end of the month. I really hope I will be able to hold out that long!!! My DH's family lives right here, so I'm sure they will find out first.

Melissa, I bought the shirt on Wednesday actually. I was surprised that they had them at my local Wal-Mart starting at 12 months! Ethan's been in 18 month clothes since he was 8 months old (tall not wide!) so just by chance they had them there. I figured I'd have to order one. My parents also bought Ethan a "1st birthday" tshirt, bib and crown yesterday so now I have to figure out when to put Ethan in his big brother shirt.
