Jen, I can't wait to hear how it goes!! You will be doing yours a couple weeks before we do. I can't wait to see the pics, I know he will be adorable!!

I live about 2 miles from BRU but chickened out yesterday. I didn't go buy the shirt b/c I started to think too much about it. Since I don't have my beta's I don't know what to think and the thought of having to return the shirt without knowing for sure really freaked me out. I could just hear the clerk asking why I was returning the shirt. I'm trying sooo hard to stay positive but I was devastated by my m/c and am just trying to protect myself I guess. I think I'll feel much better after the u/s.

Melissa, you sound exactly like me. My first pregnancy was an ectopic and I was devastated. I guarded myself for much of my pregnancy with Ethan and thus missed out on so much. I loved being pregnant and was sad when it was over because by the time I allowed myself to calm down and enjoy it I was 24 weeks pregnant! Since my beta was comparable to that of Ethan's I opted to go ahead and get the shirt. Otherwise I would have held off.

Ok ladies I had a rough day yesterday. I started spotting around 3 a.m. Not too unusual as I've done that in all three pregnancies, however I wasn't happy about it. Mixed with the rain and thunder I was in a pretty down mood. We came home after church and got Ethan fed and down for a nap. He didn't sleep as long as he normally does and I was up with him while DH was on the computer (pretty normal). Every time I picked Ethan up I got this sharp shooting pain up my right side. So much so that it brought me to tears and made me want to fall to my knees. So we called my parents to come to the house to watch Ethan and we went to the ER. I was scared to death it was another ectopic pregnancy. After three and a half hours in the ER I'm happy to report that everything is fine. My beta is good (although they didn't give me a number), my cervix is nice and closed, and we have one gestational sac and a yolk sac (I didn't see them, she didn't allow us to view the screen) measuring 5w4d. So the good news is that this baby is in the right place, the bad news is we don't know what's causing the pain. They want me to watch out for kidney stones as I guess they can occur during pregnancy. Yikes! I will follow up with my doctor on Friday for the regularly scheduled ultrasound and hope for a heartbeat.

Jen - I'm so so sorry that you are in so much pain and had to go to the hospital. Like you said, the good news is that the baby is where it is supposed to be!!!! That is AWESOME!! I just said an extra little prayer that your pain will go away and that you won't have to deal with any kidney stones. Hang in there!

Hope everything went well at the doctor today...keep us posted!

Just a quick update. Had my 2nd beta today...it was 902 15 dpo! Super excited! I will go back Wed for a final time (for bloodwork), but they feel good that I'm "out of the woods" in regards to possible ectopic! That was my biggest fear! I'll have my first u/s in about 10 days!

Jenedens6102 – so sorry to hear about your bad day! At least at the end it turned out ok Congrats on your beta and you know you have gestational sac and a yolk soc that is so awesome. I can’t wait to get my scan …7 more long days to go. Hopefully this pain will not return and you don’t need to worry about it .Keep us posted

Makenaleu - OMG it looks like it maybe twins How many mature follies did you have? Congrats on your awesome beta

AFM – Today I felt a bit of pressure right above my pelvic bone, I’m wondering if I just imagined this or it always happens and I never use to pay attention. Other then that, just usual BB hurting and tiredness.

Makenalelu - congrats on an awesome second beta. That sounds perfect! And yes I'd agree, I believe you are out of the woods for a repeat ectopic. You know when I went in to the ER on Sunday and mentioned that my first was an ectopic and while my beta was high enough the pain was concerning me....the nurse said "I know this won't sound right but if this is another ectopic, it's time for you to buy a lottery ticket." As though it's rare to have more then one in a lifetime....yet online it says you can be at risk for another if you've already had one. Go figure! But I think you are going to do great. How are you feeling?

Herta, luckily the pain has gone away. I think I just overdid things this weekend. Easy to do with a toddler and a birthday party around the corner. We did some cleaning Saturday morning and then spent a few hours at the park. Then Sunday it was church and shopping and home for lunch and naps. I took it easy at work yesterday and plan to do the same today. The doctor put me on pelvic rest (not a problem for us at this point) so we'll keep our fingers crossed that it was a once and only occurrence. The spotting has subsided as well - thank goodness!

Well girls, my little boy just does NOT want to wake up this morning and we need to be leaving in 10 minutes. Off to start the day. Hoping you all have a great day!

May I join?

Hello ladies!

I have been reading your posts and it sounds like you are a very supportive bunch! I am hoping to join you as I am expecting in November too.

This is my 3rd pregnancy (1 ectopic, 1 miscarriage) and am really that this one sticks. We got pregnant (using clomid) on our 2nd cycle TTC again after our m/c. This is an exciting and scary journey to be on and I hope to share those ups and downs with you all. Right now I am thrilled that my 2nd Beta was good and doubling every 40 hrs. Yay! So, now I wait.....and wait....and wait some more (sound familiar?) for our ultrasound next friday 3/20. I will be at 6 weeks then and because of the history of ectopic they are having me come in then.

Congrats to all you Mommies to Be! I look forward to a happy and healthy 9 (er...8) months together!

Lisa - of course you can join us - happy to have you. I also had an ectopic with my first pregnancy and after any miscarriage it's difficult not to be worried here and there. But I'm sure everything is going to be perfect this time around. We look forward to sharing in the journey with you.

Bully - Sending you best wished this one "sticks"! I've also have an ectopic in the past...

I had four follies, so I suppose the chance of multiples may be there. I used menopaur for my injectables. This was actually the first month we had tried them.

I do hope I am out of the woods in regards to the ectopic..I feel like it's the first hurdle to get over. Tomorrow I go for another beta (my last if the numbers are good) and then on March 19th for first u/s. So I guess we'll have to keep speculating about how many there are until then!

How's everyone feeling? My biggest issues thus far are terribly sore breasts, some cramps on and off, and trouble sleeping. I've been getting up to pee a lot at night. My stomach has also been all over the place. As gross as this is, one day I'm constipated, and then in 3 days I have diarrhea. Annoying! But it's all worth it...no complaints from me!

Jamie, all your symptoms sound wonderful. I just wish I were having some myself! I don't even have the classic sore bbs to comment on. I know I should feel blessed to feel so good but I never do - I want symptoms, I want to have something that helps me realize that things are going well in there. I didn't have symptoms with my son either and it was torture because I kept thinking something was wrong. I called it my "too good to be true" pregnancy. So far this one is the same. Although I have a big outbreak of acne and can't drink as much water as I did with him without feeling sick to my stomach. Anyway, good luck on your beta today. Can't wait to hear it!
