My symptoms are pretty much the exact same as yours. Except that I stay mostly constipated. I thought about taking a fiber supplement but not sure if I can.

Welcome welcome, the more the merrier!
Girls, when I was constipated (and am on and off now) I was told to drink 100% juice, eat my fruits and veggies and try things like Fiber 1 cereals or bars. I tend to eat Frosted Mini Wheats (dry cereal, no milk) in the morning and by mid-morning/early afternoon I'm ready to go! |

Just got my 3rd beta...1950! Monday's was 902, so it more than doubled. I'm done with having my levels checked (yea!) and now just have to wait until next Thursday for my first u/s (please let it be in the right place!).
I asked my nurse today about the stomach issues. Said it was totally normal, and yes you can take fiber supplements. She said Fiber-Sure or Bena-Fiber. I plan to get those puppies tonight! Glad everyone is doing well!

I'm a little irritated with my Dr's office. They told me that can't see anything on the ultrasound till 7 1/2 weeks but I see a lot of other people on here are going to the Dr much earlier. I just want to make sure everythings going well and it would really set my mind at ease to know whats going on. I have 2 more weeks to wait and it's frustrating because if other Dr's can check earlier why did mine say they can't see anything till 7 1/2 weeks. They also use to frustrate me because they would make me wait till 40 days before they would give me provera! They are the slowest Dr's I know!

I actually am in a similar boat as you, since my gyn no longer does OB, i have to see someone new that he has recommended and I have to wait until 3/30 for that appointment and since i got my BFP the old fashioned way i guess I will have the not so on top of it monitoring! we can "chomp at the bit" together!

Welcome ladies we are so glad to have you!! Also congrats on the high beta's that everyone is having!
Jen - I don't have any symptoms this time either. My Dr. said it is probably b/c I/we conceived on a natural cycle. When I got pregnant with my DD I had been on three weeks of injectables (Menopur) & IUI. My stomach was so sore I couldn't sleep on it al all. It ended up that I did have a slight case of OHSS. In fact one of the cysts actually ruptured. My RE put me on bedrest. My bbs were so bad that I had to buy an extra small workout top and wear it to bed like a compression garment. The sheet even hurt when it touched them. This helped out a TON! I also spotted off and on throughout the entire 39 weeks. Sometimes it was just pink/brown and then other times it was bright red with clots. Everything ended up being just fine, just very scary at the time. I had an extremely healthy baby! I'm sure you've all figured this out but the constipation gets worse the bigger you get. My prenatals have a stool softener in them, they are called Prenate w/DHA and I love them. I asked my OB last time about benefiber and she told me to make sure I drink a LOT of water or else it will actually make you 'poop' a brick! My best friend and I opted for eating baby food prunes b/c we both hate water. They are better and don't have the terrible consistency of an actual prune. Hope some of this will be helpful to you!! Tara - Your Dr. probably just wants to make sure that you will be able to see and hear the heartbeat when you go in. It is the most unbelievable thing that will definitely bring tears to your eyes! Also, it will still be the u/s with the wand. They won't switch to the belly kind until you are a little further along. Just wanted to share that b/c for some stupid reason I thought they would just move on to the tummy kind and I didn't shave my legs that day!! The constant waiting that we have to do never gets any better. Just wait until they start testing for Downs, glucose etc.....it's all a waiting/worrying game. Hang in there, you are doing great!!!

I'm so Bad! I called my new OB today (I was seeing RE for fertility treatments) and asked when I should come in and they said they should be able to hear the heart beat by 6 weeks so they want me to come in on Monday the 16th for an ultrasound! Okay is my RE going to be mad? It's so annoying that they make me wait so long when other Dr's don't. I'm going to have to eventually switch to an OB anyway so does anyone think it will matter? I told my new OB's office that I was seeing an RE and that I'd already had 2 beta's done and they were fine with me coming in on Monday...I'm so excited!!!!

Tara, I can't believe they said you can't see anything until 7 1/2 weeks. I'm glad you called the OB and got an earlier appointment. I went in to the ER on Sunday and at 5w4d measurement you could see the gestational and yolk sac. With my son we saw the gest sac, yolk sac, fetal pole and heart beating at 6w5d. So yes, you are right on for calling and getting an earlier appointment. Good for you.
Melissa, my Ob thinks it's because I conceived within a year of having my son. I don't quite see that as being the case because I have a friend with two under two as well (18 months apart) and she had the same symptoms with both. Oh well, like I said I can't complain but I do. Anyone want to switch? Makenalelu - congrats on the third beta - sounds perfect. Now for the wait for the ultrasound! Sorry if there is anyone else I missed. Off to pick up ds! |

Is anyone else super bloated? I have a "fake" pregnancy belly because I've been so bloated. Anyone else? Between that, the constipation/loose stools...I tell ya!

Jenedens – I’m glad you are feeling better
![]() Bullywrinkles - to the group and Congratulations on your BFP !!!!Alg76 to the group . wow Congratulations it’s amazing how things work out sometimes Makenalelu Congrats on another amazing beta! The belly might not be so boated if here is more then one in there ![]() Skydaisy – sounds like you old OB applies the same type of appointment scheduling as if you would conceive naturally … which maybe frustrating and worrisome. I’m glad you are seeing your new OB on Monday ![]() it will put your mind at ease !! It looks like we had very similar beta’s, the same due date and now same day U/S so exciting I can’t wait for mine AFM – I’m right there with you in addition to BB hurting tiredness there is the constipation. I tried eating some prunes and I don't think it helped. I didn't know this gets worst ah.

Makenalelu - I don't have the bloating this time around but I definitely did with my son. So much so that by 9 weeks I had to start hunting for maternity clothes. I wasn't showing in the slightest but I was so uncomfortable in my own clothes. Sorry you are going through that coupled with the constipation and loose stools. I'm eating my mini-wheats right now.
So tomorrow is the big day, I'm going crazy waiting for it. I'm fine when I'm at home because I have Ethan and DH to keep me busy and thus my mind occupied. But when I'm sitting here at work - with nothing to do - I just think and toil and stress myself out. The appointment is at 1 p.m. tomorrow so I should be posting by 1:45-2 p.m. |

Jen,
Good luck tomorrow! We will be anxiously awaiting good news! Have Fun!Makenalelu, Yes, I noticed feeling bloated too. It is weird to have my body feel "out of whack" right now! Plus we have a LONG way to go....OH BOY! Tara, You go girl! I am glad you found a way to get an u/s sooner. The waiting is the hardest part. I know my OB usually does 1st u/s around 8 weeks. I think they wait to makes sure there is a hb. But I get to come in right at 6 weeks since I have the history of ectopic. They want to make sure it is in the uterus. It may be too early to see a hb (due to when it implanted) but I know if is I am going to come back in a week. Last time we did not see a hb yet at 6w4d but gave me the explaination that everything looked ok and it may have just implanted late. They then told me my next u/s would be in 4 weeks. I stupidly went along with them and sadly found out no hb so much later. So this time I have already made clear to them I plan to be coming in until I see that HB. most Dr's will comply if you explain your situation and how your mental and physical anxiety will be helped. Don't feel bad for being proactive about your care. I doubt the RE will be mad. I am so excited for your u/s! I bet Monday can't come soon enough! Thanks for the warm welcome ladies! I am so happy to be here with you all. So, for now I am not so patiently waiting for that 1st u/s. Tick tock ....tick tock...Ugh! How are you all keeping occupied?
