Hi everyone,
I had my 36 (and a half) week appointment today. They did the group B strep test, and I am already 3 cm dialated, 80% effaced, and at station 0. That kind of scares me--I'm not ready! I want to keep this baby in for a few more weeks. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I didn't have any internal exams, so I don't really know if this is different than my last pregnancy or not. The baby is head down, though, which is a relief. Lucy/Mima--my midwife doesn't do any weight checks. I think that the ultrasounds can be so far off at this stage that they really aren't good at predicting what the birth weight will be. wtn--I have definitely been hungrier and more tired the last few weeks! Chinese baby predictor says girl--amnio says boy. I have been having heartburn too, mostly at night. I have to make sure that everything is digested before I lie down, or I'm sorry.

Hallie- Have a great shower!!! They are so fun- I have cried at all of mine and I am so not an emotional person but i just couldnt help it- we were surrounded by love and it really hit me that my DH and I werent the only ones who wanted this baby and how thankful we are to be going through this exerience. Enjoy it and Soak it all in!
Mima- I agree with Jamsum- my DR, who I love, was my BFs dr and told her that she was having a 7lb baby and she delivered 1 week later a 9.5 baby... I think it really is unknown... the 3D US would be the best bet- I am sneaking in next week to see my friend for another one... shhh-dont tell! I hope things get better with your dr... Babyquest- we are animal lovers too- I cant imagine knowing that my cat delievered kittens and not taking care of them. Sorry that one passed away.... Jamsum- I will say some prayers that your babe hangs in longer.... I bet you are more ready than you think. My Chinese Predicter said girl and hopefully Eli is a HE!:-) Are your drs going by your LMP for your del date or your IUI/Fert date? (Conception)

jamsum-you still have 7 cm to go so don't fret you will keep your babe in there awhile longer.
babyquest-so sorry to hear about the kittens, I know how you feel we are big animal lovers as well. We saw a turtle crossing the road in our neighborhood and stopped to help it, poor thing was so out of its element. mimia-sorry to hear about the doc once again, once your babe is delivered healthy and happy it won't make much of a difference anyways. thank-you ladies for your well wishes for the shower! and for those ladies also having shower's this weekend babyquest and yamilet have a blast. My mom and I had a nice day yesterday and met up with dh for dinner. We went to a place that I went early in my pregnacy that i could not enjoy because of m/s, enjoyed it  We are all so excited

A new low in heartburn/indigestion- About 2 hours after I ate 6 ritz&peanut butter crackers indigestion set in. So I began pacing around the house and after about 10 minutes I took some tums. I was feeling awful--clammy and sort of dizzy.
Then I coughed and it set off my gag reflex and I yacked in my bathroom sink. Crazy! I felt much better and was starving about an hour later. Way too much excitment. At least I did not throw up at all in the first two trimesters. Tonight is the shower. I'm still a bit nervous but I realize this may be one of the last times I get to relax with friends for while. (let's hope I don't throw up. )Oh, and the chinese calendar says boy and we're having a girl.

Hey Ladies....
Hope everyone enjoys the parties today..remember to take lots of pics. Babyquest..if the HB is that bad ask your OB for a prescription...I needed prevacid or something like that when pg with Tristan....no wonder he was born with a full head of thick black hair lol. AFM....both my guys are sick....yuck. I spent the morning/early afternoon searching the internet to finish my Xmas shopping. I am thinking this lil bit will be here for Xmas so I wanted to get shopping out the way and boy did I luck out...I got a great deal on our WII (Xmas gift to us lol)...Rock & Republic, Paper denim & Cloth, Paige Premium, and BCBG jeans for me...let's hope I am still my same size after delivery and the swelling go down.....toys and a pair of Seven for Mankind Jeans for Tristan...a burberry one piece outfit and toys for the new baby..I am loving these holiday sales lol.

boy oh boy am i pooped, we had a good time yesterday and dh thought it would be a good idea to go to buybuybaby and return what we didn't want and get what we needed after the shower, well we did then realized we had to go home to get our 10% completion coupon, so needless to say it was a long day. Then dh got into nesting mode, put together all the stuff, high chair (which as you know we won't need for quite some time), swing, and started baby proofing the house at 10-11 pm last night. Fun fun! I woke up this morning and washed all lines and clothes for 0-3 months, won't worry about the bigger stuff just yet, have the hospital bag almost packed and dh left to go to home depot and food shopping. My feet are so swollen right now, feeling the weight of my pregnancy big time. Funny, when we were at the baby store, we ran into someone from the shower.
jess-fishbowl too cute, can't even think about skinny jeans right now, good for you. babyquest-i can relate to your throwing up, those babes know how to make us work for it. have a great sunday everyone, this week is 37 weeks and i'm super happy about that saftey zone reach!

Hallie- beautiful photos! You look gorgeous. Gjad to hear you had a great time at your showers.
I am beat too! We had my family over for lunch today and then put up our Christmas Tree... So glad to have it up- once he is here I just want to focus on him and bot all of the To-Dos around the holidays. I am going to complete my Christmas list this week- I love having a list and checking it off! ;-). Drs appt Tuesday! Can't wait to see if there is any progress... I hope everyone had a great weekend- not really ready for Monday but not too many more working Mondays to go! ;-)

Hallie-great photos, you look great! Glad you had a good time. I know exactly how you feel about feeling the weight right now. I even wake up with my legs feeling like if I had just worked out. BOcarn- Good for you on doing your tree.We will try to do our xmas tree before as well, but still have some things around the house to finish. jess- That is really cute.
