Hi everyone,
The amnio went fine yesterday. I was nervous, but it really wasn't bad. Baby had his/her legs crossed so I don't know the gender yet, which is kind of disappointing because I had my hopes up! But I got to see lots of wiggling. The arm and leg bones are calcifying, so it was neat to be able to see them looking so bright. I weighed 135 during the bcp part of IVF, but then I lost 10 pounds during process, so I was 125 at 5 weeks. I'm now 136, so I've either gained 1 or 11 pounds depending on how you think about it. With my daughter, I had gained 16 pounds at this point of the pregnancy--I consistently gained one pound a week and my total weight gain was 35 pounds. Maybe this time I my weight gain will be distributed differently.

Thanks ladies for all of the support! It's great to know that there's people out there who care! The surgery center called last night to ask all of the pre-surg questions and one was "Are you pregnant?" Isn't that why I'm going there? I have to take a urine preg test.... but won't it come out pos? I have had no bleeding, so obviously there is still a baby in there. I don't get it. I told her I was going in for a D&C and she said I know. I'm just really confused about the whole thing. We'll see I guess.
I'm glad I'm not the only one with in-law issues! My DH's sister was supposed to have our wedding at her house back in '05. 2 months beforehand, she backed out and dropped out of our wedding b/c I was "talking crap about her." So we had to move the whole thing 2 months prior and find another bridesmaid. She didn't even show up to the wedding and her daughter was our flower girl. Her husband and her were playing softball that day. Needless to say, I just recently started talking to her. My DH still thinks she's perfect too. It makes me crazy! Sorry that was so long. I like to know I'm not the only one with crazy in-laws! If anyone doesn't feel comfortable with me posting here anymore, let me know. I won't be going through the same things as you guys are going to be going through, but I still feel like I have a group of people who care. If anyone is offended, PM and I will leave. Qweska--I hope you will keep posting here. We have all been through such different things in our attempts to have a baby, and I'd like to continue to support you. I will be thinking of you tomorrow and hoping that everything is easy.

queska-you are a december girl and you don't go anywhere, we are here for you no matter what!
Understand about sil's but my dh understands how she is and he has stopped putting up with her stuff which has strained their relationship but he won't stand for her to treat me badly. jam-glad to hear that the amino went well, you will know the sex when you get the amino results back. I have a feeling my babe will be difficult as well during the u/s we will see. jelly-I hoping and that your morning sickness is behind you and you are on the road to recovery! 3months, yeah thats alittle crazy of your mil.Babyquest-i bought a nursing bra and find it to be a lot of fabric that I don't need now. Also bought a comfy bra from pee in the pod and wear it everyday unless its wash time. So comfy and supportive. arude-i'm waiting for the sex as well and then its off the the races for me! me-does anyone have or know anyone who has red bumps on their arms? I have some and I know they are not a rash or bites, think they are broken blood vessels, but thought I would throw it out there. Dh is sick this week, well he has been sick for a couple of weeks and finally going to the doc on friday so we are such an old couple with our doc appts, i will go to his and he will go to mine, we find this funny. He is going to need blood work and he is such a baby when it comes to blood, I can't help laughing at him, he is so cute about it. We are getting so excited about everything and we are so happy about our pregnancy and becoming parents. Have a great preggo day ladies!

mima: not heartburn yet. but I take tums as a calcium suppelement so maybe they ward it off. jelly: you are such a trooper! I hope you are near the end of the road of m/s. arude: I got a bra one size up. I don't know how long it will work, but for now its fine. I don't want to wear something with a bunch of extra material! it was wierd enough to buy one size up! Size C is very new to me! I just recently entered the B world! hallie: not red bumps. But as we all mentioned before i do have some breakouts on my face, so maybe that's it? jamsum: Yay! Glad the amnio went well! i know you were probably nervous. mom2: I have never seen the bra extenders! I'll have to look for them next time. Are they just little extentions that go on the back band? me: anyone have the pregnancy congestion? I don't know if that's it, or if its allergies or a cold or what but i am so stuffy it's driving me bananas! There aren't many options as far as decongestants go. I have been using saline spray and doubling up on vit. c to fight whatever it is. Also, are you guys getting up 2 times to pee in the night? I am like clockwork, I get up at 12 or 1 and then again at 3 or 4. And when I get up I am so thirsty. I guess its just something I need to get used to!!

2nd-no congestion for me, but been sneezing alot so maybe the congestion is coming. yes i get up a lot but at least i don't need to eat during the night anymore to ward off the m/s
does anyone color there hair? are you doing it or holding off? my ob said highlights were okay and it smart to just have low lights and stay away from whole head because they don't know what direct chemicals do to babies, i don't think i can last 6 more months with my hair in this state. oh talking about pimples, i though my cold sore was bad thank goodness it healed and i can smooch with my hunny again, gosh it was just a week but we missed the kissing. anyways i have a pimple on the inside of my nostril, how fun! have fun ladies!

Hey Guys,
It looks like everyone is doing well- that is great to see considering we are closing in on 3-4 months! Woohoo- it is just unreal. ImJlo- thanks for the list- it is going to be great fun to watch as our group and bellies continue to grow! Speaking of bellies- mine jut popped out yesterday! I looked down and said, "Where did you come from?" Technically the scale hasn't moved- as of my last visit I had lost 3 lbs and my scale has not moved but it is a matter of time I am sure! I am going in for my 16 week check up on Monday so I will know more then... I am also a healthy girl- 175 before preg. so I am hoping to stay below 200 lbs during this process- I am 5'2 so I will end up looking so much bigger! I am trying to be reasonable and as healthy as possible but mid day I feel like I need another meal so I need to start bring something small with me on the road. Qweska- we are here to stick together, please stay with us and let us support you. I am saying prayers for you. Hallie- I know what you mean- I usually don't have allergies but that has changed lately. Glad you fever blister left the building only to be replaced- too bad! I am using Clindamycin- my Dr have me an RX and said it is safe to treat mild acne that is pregnancy related- it has been great! My hair is really dark so I can probably get away with lowlights so will try and avoid the hair coloring if possible. I do feel bad for blondes, but one of my BF colors her hair regularly during pregnancy-I think it is still one of those things where it depends on who you are asking....

Hey Ladies,
At work and the weather is soooo sucky!! I had my appt. yesterday and lil wiggle had a hb of 164 and was moving and kicking. It's weird how much it looks like a baby now and not a lil blob lol. I have my MFM appt. Monday to do my nuchal screening and cervical length and to schedule my cerclage. Oh I asked my ob why haven't I gained weight especially since it feels like all I do is sleep and eat. He said when you are pregnant your metabloism revs up, like being on a treadmill 24/7. Makes sense, that must be why I am so fatigued too. He said I was average (being nice) and shouldn't worry. He would be more worried if I was super skiiny and losing or heavy and gaining alot but for now we're good :-) 2ndteacher...Is your first name Mandy?? Short for anything? My Mandy is actually a Miranda :-) I found these bra extenders..3 Hook Bra Extender (pk of 3) They also have single and double ones but all my bras are triple. The price is great too. Hallie lol I have been getting pimples too, everywhere, in my ears, nostrils, but I hate those under the skin ones you can't see but can feel..ouch. I have found myself reacting badly to dairy and I love cereal for dinner these days. Question...is anyone else here RH-??

mom2-glad your appt went well and you heard a nice strong heartbeat, I'm sure that was music to your ears. Any luck on finding a dress? what is RH and cerclage?
Bocarn-yeah, i'm blonde or at least have been since 16. I used to let my hair go a long time in college but seems to be different now. I need a haircut really bad too, glad to hear i'm not so crazy about the coloring. I just don't want to do anything that would cause my babe harm, maybe I'll be different with next pregnancy but for now why risk it. I think hubby and I are going to plan a babymoon for our anniversary which is at the end of sept. I will be in my third trimester but hopefully still functioning, something relaxing before the eve of the storm. We are going to visit bro/sil/kids at the end of july and that will be fun, but i think we need alone time trip as well. Is anyone doing anything special for father's day? My mom got my hubby some gloves and mask for diaper duties to come and I got him something as well. Was going to get us massages, but my dad is going to be here too so can't do that. Have a great preggo day!

Mom2mandyand Tristan- Glad you got to see your baby and everything is looking good. I know- it is amazing the growth and changes in just a few short weeks! The metabolism business makes sense- I def have more energy but I am def my happiest relaxing in my pjs!
Hallie- I got my DH a new dad's handbook- it is mostly humerous- shows them how to make a diaper out of duct tape. He will love it. The Babymoon is a great idea- we did Jamaica several months ago and called it our babymoon. I am going with my family in 3 weeks to cabo but my DH has opted t ostay here and paint! He really wants to save his time for when our lil guy is here and it will be perfect because the fumes should be gone when I come back. I understand how you feel about being extra cautious- better safe than sorry. we will relax a bit for #2. Have a great day guys- the storms are bad here- hope your weather is better
