Hi Ladies!
Thanks for sharing all the 3D photos! We had really been looking forward to doing them ourselves but never got that far, of course. I am amazed by all the beautiful nurseries too. We still havent set up Maddies room yet. We are waiting until our family members have all had a chance to come visit once to meet Maddie. By the beginning of Dec, we can start cleaning out the spare room and turning it into Maddies room.

Springtime- How are you doing hun? I am keeping you in my prayers. I hope you got one of those egg crates for the mattress. Trust me, it helps! Otherwise, those beds are just too painful on your back and hips. Keep up the good work!

As for our little family- Maddie is now over a month old!! Woah! She also finally hit 3 lbs two nights ago. WOOHOOO! It is the cutest thing when she sucks on her little preemie paci (that is still too big and covers half her little face.. lol!). She is getting that suck-swallow-breath thing down. So, in two weeks we are suppose to start with the breastfeeding work. She is still getting my milk and the donor milk I fought for via her nasogastric tube in her nose. Here are some more current pictures of my little fighter!

Hi girls. I am still hanging in there. I'm having lots of contractions for the past few days and the doc isn't sure how much longer we can hold out. I've been on magnesium and terbutaline and occasionally morphine, but I've been taking pretty high doses and the doctor isn't comfortable continuing at this level, so he mentioned cutting back on the meds. I will be 31 weeks on Friday, so that is my goalfor now. The last 2 weeks have been soscary, I'd be happy if we get all the way to 31 weeks. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. They are surely helpful. I'll post an update if anything changes.

Tami, did u have very many contractions when you were on bedrest? Or was it pretty calm? I'm just curious how long I can go like this. I'm 100% effaced so every bout of contractions makes me think the baby is coming!

Springtime- I only had contractions from time to time. Most of the time, I wasnt contracting though.. only dialating further. I was completely effaced and dialating without any idea how much further along I was until I had my ultrasounds to let me know our progress. It was pretty scary, stressful, and I HATED when I had to have a bm. I was always so fearful that she would slide out or start on her way since she was so little and I was so far along in dialation. I made sure I never pushed and every time I sat down on that toilet I prayed she stayed put. Basically, I rarely went to the toilet and just used the yucky bed pan. You are doing GREAT! Keep up the hard work. I know it is hard, stressful, overwhelming, frustrating, sore, etc.. etc.. but what a wonderful gift you are giving. You are doing wonderful! I wish I could have kept Maddie in until her 31st week.

I cant believe tomorrow she will be a month and a half old already. Where did the time go? The day after that, she will be 33 week gestation.

Tami -- Maddie is SO adorable. I just want to give her a hug!

Springtime -- You're doing great! So proud of you!

AFM, I guess the third trimester is beginning to hit me hard. I'm definitely tired all the time, and now everything aches, particularly my pelvic muscles, legs and back. I can't stand for much time or walk for much time. I just stay in my rolly chair for much of class . I'm randomly noticing a sharp pain in the vaginal area which the doctor had said was pretty normal. Yesterday everything just hurt for a few minutes, almost like there was gas and pressure -- but worse. I wondered if it was a contraction. It went away after a while.

Are others noticing anything similar?

Springtime - you've done a great job keeping your little guy in there!!! The 31 week mark is awesome! 9 weeks early won't be that bad. Everything with your LO will be just fine. We're all praying for you guys!!

omg Tami - that middle picture of Maddie is ADORABLE!!! Love her eyes!!

Hmmm pumpkin.pie - I don't think I've felt anything like that. I'd say to call the dr if it keeps happening though.

I'm getting excited girls!!! We're getting so close to meeting our munchkins!!! My baby shower is on the 5th...only about 2 weeks away!! Everything seems like it's flying by now!

I've got a busy week ahead and will be conveniently ignoring my school work .

This Friday I'm going to watch New Moon with some of my other teacher friends. It was hilarious watching Twilight together (laughing hysterically at the silliness of the film as all the preteens around us swooned).

Friday is also when BIL and his wife arrive from England! They're here for the week and it will be lots of fun. It's cute how excited hubby gets when his big brother is in town. I'm sure this weekend will involve lots of family gatherings and playing games and hanging out.

At some point we've got to do some clean up around the house. There's stuff everywhere and our guest room is cluttered to the brim with stuff since we emptied out the study to make it into a nursery. The touch ups for the nursery still aren't done yet either. Lots of little things to do, and most of them I can't do (cuz they involve moving heavy items or using paints and such with toxic fumes). I hate being the nagging wife trying to get my hubby to get things done. It's going to be even harder once his brother is around.

Wednesday all of the other family guests arrive from out of town. I've also got a hair appointment, for a much needed cut and blow dry. Can't wait! Also thinking about getting a mani/pedi.

Thanksgiving is my first baby shower! This one is pretty much all of the family members that live on the East Coast. MIL and SILs are hosts. I think they're planning all sorts of games and such. I hope we also get to do some traditional Thanksgiving food! And we're especially thankful for the coming bundle of joy, so I think the date is nice .

Baby shower outfit: Got a cute top and pants from Motherhood Maternity. The top was on sale for $10 and it is adorable! I love it.

I can't even believe how blessed I've been and how quickly this pregnancy is passing. We have our next ultrasound in a couple weeks (12/2/09); I'm hoping to get confirmation on the gender so I can register for and buy things that are more than just green, yellow, and white!

Hope all is well for all of you!

I'm such a PROUD MOMMA!!!! I just had to share! Today was Maddie's first attempt at nipple feeding. She latched on to me but didnt suck which isnt uncommon so I wont let it frustrate me just yet. We tried a bottle afterwards and it took her a moment to figure out what to do, but in the end.. she drank a whole 5 ml!! What a GREAT JOB on her first attempt! Im soooooooo proud! We are getting closer and closer to getting her home.
