crob you are right. I can attest to that as i am already totally showing and everyone is showering me with attention. its a little more crazy because everyone can't believe its twin girls, but regardless, once you have a belly and don't just feel fat, and you share the news with everyone, i think you will all start to feel better. everyone will ask every 5 seconds how you feel, so youll get to vent and commiserate alot more, and TO A REAL LIVE PERSON, not just us lol

and btw, im counting 12 weeks as the end of the first trimester. since according to some 12 weeks is really 13 weeks, it sounds good to me!

Crob- I was thinking the same thing! I'm not great with lots of attention so I'm not really looking forward to that part...odd, I know...but I think I will like it a lot more when I can feel movement and have an obvious baby-belly as opposed to how I look now (chub around the middle). I'm really looking forward to feeling movement...I think that will make all the difference.

Sparkly, that was me whining about being pregnant... I seriously hate it too. I am always uncomfortable and have troubles sleeping because I am so uncomfortable. I have the worst gas and heartburn and for the love of god - WHY is all this fat collecting on my butt and upper thighs???? I saw this beautiful little pregnant girl the other day wearing Lululemon pants and she had this gorgeous round belly and this perfect little a$$ - I so wish that was me *sniff*. I miss my work-outs but haven't trained since I started IVF - I was too uncomfortable when on the stims and when I got pregnant I was too tired and sick.

Yesterday I picked up Skinny ***** Booty Bounce DVD and am going to give it a whirl today

Brooklyn, you were in such awesome shape before, so i bet you don't look half as bad as you think you do. my tush is ok, but i definitely notice my thighs are bigger. gonna aim to get to the gym 2-3 times a week-so far can only make it once. EVERYONE tells me to get over the wieght thing-as long as im not stuffing my face with oreos all day long-because itll come off. one comforting thought is...ill be so busy with twins i won't have a second to eat! and Brooklyn, neither will you!!!!!

Hey ladies,

I've been feeling quite lethargic lately, so I haven't been on much.

For me, I'm really enjoying being pregnant. Yeah, I get uncomfortable at night and toss and turn a lot. Yeah, my back hurts and I get tired really easily (and I know it's all only gonna get worse), but I've waited so long for this and been through so much crap to get to this point that I wouldn't change it for the world. I think the difference is that you guys had much better bodies than me and are seeing these big changes that you're not comfortable with. You feel like you're "losing" your bodies. I've always had a low body image, so I feel like I don't have a body to lose. I already have a big a$$ and big thighs, so that's nothing new to me. lol I never thought that being bigger than average would ever work to my advantage, but I guess this is the one time in life where it does. Weird.

I wake up hungry in the middle of the night now, never did before. Haven't actually eaten then yet though. I need to eat every 2-3 hours or I'm starving. I can only poop every 3 days (HORRIBLE) & the gas is terrible. Whether it's DHA pill gas or what, I do not know. It's gross & I hate that.

I saw this book yesterday at B&N -

I did flip though it.

Maybe I'll just be that person who doesn't like it. Although I asked one of my best friends who is 5 weeks ahead of me & she too hates it. So at least I know I'm not alone.

A few of you have said something about waking up to eat at night...I get up at least once a night (sometimes 2x) and can't fall back asleep until I eat something. I have food in the fridge just for this! I'm also having a problem eating a lot at one sitting so I eat like 10 little meals a day...so that may have something to do with it. Its kind of annoying...and I still don't love food, so it is hard to come up with snacks...but my belly hurts if I don't eat!

A funny thing- I've been doing yoga for 12 years and teaching for about 6 but a few months ago I found out that I have arthritis in my lower back (probably from sports when I was younger)...well, weird thing...for the last 2 weeks, my back feels GREAT! I thought it was supposed to start hurting with pregnancy...and I'm still dreading that b/c I know it is coming with all that big belly out front...but for now, I am so happy!

Amber- I was wondering how you were doing. You were very quiet! I've been super tired lately too...and taking it easy b/c it is too **** hot here to do anything else!

Don't worry. I'm still alive over here! lol Thanks for your concern. It's been 85+ here for the past 5 days. Blahhh. Hubby and I have been doing a lot of much needed bonding lately, so that's been taking up a lot of my time, too. Definitely more important than sitting here with my laptop! lol

okay brooklyn, i don't want to hear any moaning from you! when you posted your pre-baby belly pic, i thought you were joking around and had pulled a pic of a female bodybuilder off the internet. then i realized you were serious! lol! just remember, this sacrifice is soooo gonna be worth it!

airman, i'm kinda in the same boat as you. i feel like w/ everything i've been through to get here, there's no way i'm not gonna enjoy this. i used to have a decent figure, but i really packed on the pounds through my 2 ivf cycles, so i didn't have the greatest body image going into this pregnancy. now, i'm just glad i have a reason for being fat. lol!

i haven't gotten to the hungry stage yet. i guess it's b/c i'm so far behind all you guys since i'm not due til the end of february. i'm still in my food aversion stage. the only things that consistently sound good are cream gravy and tater tots (not together). wow, could i have picked a more healthy food choice?

Exactly! Now at least if people think I'm pregnant, they're right! lol

And tater tots?!?! I've been craving them all day (with some kind of cheese sauce!) No other type of frozen shaped potatoes. Just tots. lol

I don't post a lot on here as I have been terribly sick with the twins. I am so glad I'm not alone with not liking the pregnancy symptoms. I was truly feeling like I was just horrible at being pregnant! I also keep telling people that my uterus in my butt and that's why it's grown so much

Is anyone so exhausted that they can barely peel themselves out of bed? I've had mono and this is worse!!!

I hope we all start to feel better once we are settled into our second trimester!!!

I'm so sorry that you have mono on top of your bad m/s!!! You're a trooper!!!

And I can relate to the exhaustion, but I'm sure yours is worse because you have 2 babies sapping all your energy!!!

u guys are going to make me want tater tots...

Still LOVING anything sweet, esp. chocolate.

I just went to the gym, my old teacher & I chatted. He said since I was working out before i should be OK, esp. now as I'm 2nd trimester. I'm getting a heart monitor & taking his water aerobics class on Saturday...am thinking about his weights class (at my own pace/level). I've done my research & I'm very careful, we shall see what I decide to do. I was reading a Buff Moms book yesterday & all the weights they do, I did before (even in the super preggers pics)! It's funny they have a barely PG lady, a midway & a very PG lady in their pics. ALL LIFTING 5lb. WEIGHTS!

I guess there's an advantage to being completely out of shape to begin with! You can't miss something you didn't have. LOL The belly isn't bothering me. So far that's the only place I've noticed the weight. Well, my boobs are starting to puff out over the top of my bra. My nausea is finally gone, but I'm still exhausted all the time. Getting a shower is my accomplishment for the day. I'm at 12 weeks, so hopefully that will be going away soon. I'm waiting for that magic day when I wake up with energy.

Molly- I keep waiting for that day too! They said you usually get a bunch of energy in the 2nd trimester...waiting...not so patiently!

My appt went well - took forever! the u/s was wonderful! She was waving her arms around and showing us her hands- 5 fingers on each. It was so cute...and made me feel so much better. DH kept saying, "you can't feel that?" everytime she'd move her entire body or flip over or something. Hysterical. The practice NT scan didn't work for the NT measuring though- our little girl was too big! I guess they want them to measure smaller for her practice to count towards certification...but I was so thankful to get the u/s, we didn't care....and the u/s tech didn't either (which was great). Besides that, doppler, some questions and a lot of blood tests.
