I'm at work right now. I'm hungry and annoyed. I going to vent right now - so I apologize for my rant. Two girls in my dept just had babies in March - fine and dandy, whatever. We are all good friends ("work friends") and get along. Well they live fairly close to each other and when they were on maternity leave (they had their son's a day apart) they would go to lunch, hang out and now they go to Weight Watchers meeting together every Sunday. I live an hour away from work - I don't want to drive back down here to hang out and I'm not going to join Weight Watchers (not till after the baby anyway - hopefully I won't have to ) So them being friends outside of work doesn't bother me....I have my own friends. But now, when their at work they only talk to each other. And it's not like they only talk about their boys (which they do, do some of the day) but they talk about things that I can get involved in to...and I'm not included. The three of us are in the same row (cubicles) but all they do is talk to each other ever day. I've even told them I was feeling left out and nothing has changed. I hate being at work now. I talk to other people but they aren't near my desk, which I'm at for the majority of the day. It makes the days go by so long!!! And the thing that bugs me the most, is that when they were prego I would ask them how they felt, what was going on, etc (even though they had be only trying for two months and me a year and a 1/2 at that time) and they don't even ask me how I'm doing? They know what I've been going through.

Sorry - I've just had a morning and wanted to vent to people who might actually listed to me...since my co-workers don't care. Thanks - and no I don't work in health care...NO WAY! I do condominium insurance. Very exciting. (That's sarcastic.)

Sorry I didn't post about anyone else, I've missed a lot this weekend. We had DH's grandmother's wake and funeral so I couldn't get on the computer. There has been a lot going on lately though!

Amanda - Great BETA's...I hope your OHSS gets better!

Everyone - have a great day! (sorry if my rant doesn't make sense. I'm too hungry to proof read it - I'm going to lunch.)

Holi - I wanted to reply to your post. First of all, remember that you have a lot of extra hormones right now so it's normal to feel more sensitive about things than you would if you weren't pg. Isn't it terrible that people at work still act like they are in high school and have cliques? One option is to ignore your co-workers, but it doesn't sound like you really want to do that. So my suggestion for the next time that you are feeling left out of their conversation is to ask them for baby and/or pregnancy advice. In my experience, moms LOVE to give advice to new mommies-to-be. Hang in there and I hope you're feeling better after lunch.

AFM - The circus was SO MUCH fun. Colin loved it, especially when they put one of the performers into a box and then used magic to turn him into a tiger. He's still talking about it. DH even got into it and said he would want to go again the next time the circus comes through town. On Sunday, we swam in the pool. It's getting hot here now, so we try to plan at least one pool day each weekend. My u/s is tomorrow morning. Since I've made it to 11 weeks, I'm hoping everything is still looking good in there.

Shannon - I am sorry you are feeling so bad at work. It is always tough feeling like you are the odd one out. Unfortunately, the two of them shared an amazing journey together and have built a tight bond. I can't believe their pregnancies were that close together! JDW had some great advice about asking them about pregnancy. I am sure that would be a great way to connect with them. Try to stay positive and know that we are all here for you!

JDW-I have my 9 week u/s tomorrow, good luck! I hope your little peanut is looking good.

Girls-I am getting a bit nervous because I am not feeling as sick as I did the last couple of weeks. Is anyone else seem to be losing symptoms?

jdw-My OB said they do NT scans b/n 12-13.5 weeks now. I think this is a more recent addition to the scans, so that may have been why you didn't have one with your ds. She said it is just an early screener.

Holi-Sorry to hear you're having a tough day at work. Do your coworkers know you are pregnant? If not, they may not be asking you much because they don't know what to say to you if they know you have been trying for a while. If so, I agree with the other girls...ask them for advice. It sounds like they would love to talk about themselves.

kayleia-It's common for some of the pregnancy symptoms to start to let up a little more as you approach the end of the first trimester.

AFM: I had my first OB appt today and she did an u/s which was a nice surprise. Everything looked great! My peri appt is on Thursday and then nothing until July 27th...I'm sure it will feel like an eternity!

Would like to join in

Hi ladies,

I'm doing my best to fight my own fears of jinxing myself by jumping onto the pregnancy boards today. I'm essentially smack dab in between boards as my due date is February 1. A little behind all you January gals, but so early in February that I'm a little ahead of the game. So I think I'll hang in both, if you don't mind. I'm hoping that I can find a a due date buddy in February to compare notes, as well as hoping for some guidance from you January ladies who are leading the way...if that's ok.

I know a few of you already from the large May IVF thread and am looking forward to getting to know the rest of you as well!

(Amanda - I'm so sorry that you're feeling like crap right now, but am so excited to see that fabulous jump in your beta!)

Best,

Jena

amanda, I'm so sorry you are feeling this way. I never thought my feeling like that would end, but it has just about completely subsided. Between weeks 8-9. Hang in there and make sure to keep in contact with your doctors about the blood clot issue.

Schu: I think about you everyday, you are truely a strong person for enduring this during each of your pregnancies. Know it doesn't end until birth is disheartening.

Jena: Glad you're here, you are a great support.

Shannon: Hope your day got better, it's lonely with no one near your cubicle to talk with.

How was everyones Father's Days? I am getting concerned and DH tells me I'm being silly but I can't help it. The OHSS is about 90% better and starting yesterday I am not feeling as bad (nauseous, gagging, tired) as I have been...I even haven't had many food cravings either. Is that normal? I just feel like so many symptoms have gone away so quickly.

Hello Ladies,

Jen. Your plan sounds like a good one.

Hope-I am happy to hear your office visit went well. Good luck with perinatologist.

Kay-I too have an u/s tomorrow. I would love to lose some symptoms, so if you need me to give you some I promise to share That same thing happened to JDW, and everything was fine. I will say a prayer for your u/s.

JDW-I too hope everything looks good. The circus sounds so cool. I was telling Landin about it, and he was very ready to go.

Holi-What is wrong with women in the work place. It never fails if you get a group of women together in the workplace or a service group whatever, they travel back in time to being teens again. Do they not realize that being an adult means being good people and doing what is right not what nets you the most popularity. I do agree that talking about baby ad will bring them over or my favorite is ask them to see pictures. Anyway, life is to short to be stuck at a boring desk all day, so maybe bring in some baked goods (weight watcher reci) maybe they will be won over.

Amanda-It was the breathing issues that got me into serious trouble with both ohss. The dehydration was secondary, so if your breathing is good you should be ok. Some REs still do Gatorade because it replaces your electros, and plan water can wash out your electros. Most REs now go off a new study done that states there are more complications with swelling with Gatorade because the salt increases the swelling. It is the swelling that gets you into more trouble than dehydration. at least that is what I was told. Even when they give you iv fluid they always give you a dextrose iv not the normal saline kind. Whatever you do take care, and listen to your body.

Bit-how are you, and did you go to the er?

Pups-I hope vaca is going great.

AFM-No change! I am too sick for words.

Wow-- it has been 2 days and I feel like I have missed so much.

Shannon for you--and when they are not looking spit in their drink

Bits- I got the call Fri and my results showed no UTI-- I have the same burning pressure... I really think it is from the prometrium inserts-- are you on those too? I started making sure to put them as far back as I can- also have been spacing them out 10-12 hours instead of 8 hours. I am doing much better... hope you are too. ob said I can stop prometrium at 10 weeks... that is thurs... don't know about that... I will wait until I fly home. Was so afraid to fly but all was ok... hard candy and ate when ever I had a sec...very little cramping.

Schum- wish I could help you!

Lisa-Kay--- glad you are doing better! I am getting much better too... much less pukey!!
-- we are almost over our first 3 months-- think the m/s on it's way out!

Jena!

Hope- glad everything looked good on your u/s today.

JDW & Kay GL tomorrow!!!

Did any of your ob's put you on extra iron. My ob said because of the twins he is having me take extra iron- I took it today for the first time and oh how much more energy I have!! Any of you twin moms feeling totally dead after walking to the mailbox ask your ob about more iron.

This looks like the most up to date... Jena please add your info

arichardson- prob twins-

Celly you still ok?
Wish?
Amanda...hope you are doing better!

AFM- I doing sooo much better!!! I am at the beach in FL... had SONIC cherry limeade on my way from the airport... scared my mom and dh to death when I saw SONIC...I screamed stop. SOOO... JDW...it was just ok.... but the fried mozzarella sticks and tater tots were awesome! These are fried babies... love fried food! I am huge....very now! I am still having awful nights... up most of them... and cramp a lot...and my boobs now have shooting pains in them... what is this?

So told my mom and dad in the car to the airport since dad didn't come to FL with us... I handed my mom a pic of baby a, pic of baby b and then a pic of both sacks... she was very surprised. Did the same to my b and sil.

So my sil had twins naturally... at 35 weeks one was 6lbs 10oz and the other one was 7lbs 3 oz. She said wheat germ... on everything. Lots of protein.

I would highly recommend going on a vacation... I am getting so much more sleep and rest and food... and it is nice to have the beans out of the bag...we have dh family and my lb to tell yet ...and work and a lot of people.

So I am afraid to spend too much time in the pool/ocean or sun... don't want cooked beans... think it is safe?

Sorry for the long post!!!! Hope you all are on your way to feeling better!!!

Hi Ladies,

Jena!

Pups- I am glad your enjoying your vacation. I am feeling sooooooo much better, I have no idea what was going on but I agree with you I think it is the prometrium!

Schu- Thanks for checking on me, I decided to ride it out and the next day I was much better. I hope you are hanging in there. I will keep ing for you.

So other than that I am just taking care of the DH, he has ulcerative colitis and is in the midst of a flare up. Had to take the dogs to my mom's since my ob does not want me to walk them still and dh can barely move, and I started my 2 week vacation today, so it is nice not to have to worry about the dogs!!!

Hi Ladies---nice to see you on here Jena...I'm not due to later in Feb but I'm still hanging out here cause I got to know them so well! I thought it went from ER date (to figure out EDD) and I had Feb. 21 but the nurse thought it would be Feb. 22 so we just decided that the RE will decide at my first u/s on July 6 so I won't know my EDD for sure till then but today I am about 5 weeks. I am feeling a little better. Some of the fluid has absorbed into my body cause my belly isn't quite so hard today. I had a meeting to go to for work and afterwards my mom and I went to Old Navy and I got some maternity pants cause nothing fits me and I have a nice dinner tomorrow night. I can't believe I'm wearing materning pants at 5 weeks...of course, I look about 5 months. The meeting was fun cause I got to tell some people I work with that I'm preggers cause there's no hiding it!

Glad everyone is doing well...I've heard it's normal for symptoms to come and go so I'm sure everyone is fine. I know, I know, I will worry when it happens to me too! I've just resorted to the fact that I'm gonna worry for the next eight months and then I guess for the next 18 years (probably more) after that! Gosh, it's amazing how much this little bean has changed my whole outlook on life. I really like how it has brought my hubby and I even closer already...and I didn't think that was possible!

Jena- !

Amanda-I have read that pedialyte is better for OHSS than Gatorade since there is less sugar, etc. You may want to ask your RE his/her thoughts.

2pups-Enjoy your vacation! My DH and I are heading to FL next month and I cannot wait! Looking forward to resting and just lounging around.

Schu-Thinking about you.

Looking forward to updates today from JDW and Kay.

AFM: I had some bleeding last night and when I spoke to my OB she said this is common after a pap smear, esp. during pregnancy since the cervix is very sensitive. I had no idea, so for those of you getting ready for your first OB appt with pap just wanted to let you know so you would have a head's up.

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday we had our 8 week u/s but unfortunately the little one stopped growing and no heart beat detected.

Friday I'll go in for a D&C then in 2 months genetic and other testing since this was our 2nd miscarriage. Not sure if I ever shared my 1st miscarriage experience 10 years ago - we got preggers the old fashioned way but 1st week into 2nd trimester started bright red spotting & u/s detected no hb and baby started to decompose. We chalked this up to a slip getting out of the shower a week prior.

RE said that they don't usually order these tests until after 3rd miscarriage but wants to get to the bottom of this before FET of 2 frozen embies.

Blah, it sucks but we're ok. It's one of those things where as much as we love and wanted this baby we know that a m/c is often a sign of something seriously wrong with the baby. Or at least that's what I'm telling myself in order to stay sane. What really sucks is that I still feel pregnant - tired, pukey, chubby, want to eat the world - but alas I slept well last night using Advil PM and was able to drink coffee again this morning.

Good luck ladies, I'll be checking in here and there to check your progress.

Celly-I am sorry to hear about your u/s results. It sounds like you and your dh have a great attitude about things. I'm glad your RE will do the genetic testing now rather than waiting. Good luck with the testing and please keep us posted.

Celly - My heart goes out to you. I have been there and it hurts! The genetic testing is really easy; chances are you and DH are both fine. All of my miscarriages have been due to Chromosomal abnormalities. The good news is my doctor really feels I will still have a healthy baby. I am sure you will too! Hopefully one of your frozen embies is perfect! Good Luck!
