amy, good to hear from you. we are praying for you and dh for more strength. the good Lord will definitely grant your wish again and before you know it, you will be pregnant again.

evan, so sorry you're having those horrible headaches. i will add my advise to the rest, that drink lots and lots of water and try to minimize your stress levels. if you have a way of not 'sweating the small stuff', do it. rest when you can.

joanna, yeeeh ...life begins at 40. i made 40 in january this year..and like you, i thought that by 40 i would have left the maternety thingis to others...anyway, i'm one of those who believe in the saying that age is just a number! have fun on your birthday.

squrrelgirl, sorry for the loss of your cousin. this must be a tough time for you and your family. our hearts go out to his dw and ds.

tifgrl1, yeaah. welcome to team blue!

mary, i was born and bred in africa. it's a very lovely place to be, with lots of opportunities; very simple and friendly people. it's a place worth visiting...once you get over the cultural shocks, you will find it very entertaining. i run a nursery school with day care facilities and it is wonderful.

afm, nothing much...still on bed rest, but had to step out for a few hours . supposed to return to work tomorrow, but i think i will return monday.

hope you all have a wonderful day. i should say good night, but i know you're at the prime of your day. enjoy it. off to bed i go (i'm about 8 hours ahead of you guys).

Ok, have any of you started thinking of baby names? My DH and I had a deal that if it was a boy he would get to name it (using part of his fathers name who passed away) and if it was a girl I would get to name it (using part of my fathers name who passed away). So I am settled on a middle name but need to decide on a first name. I have narrowed it down to a whopping 11 names but now I'm stuck and need some input. Be warned that I like old lady names.

Molly Raye
Lola Raye
Sophie Raye
Gracie Raye
Delilah Raye
Lillian Raye
Millie Raye
Maisie Raye
Lucy Raye
Hattie Raye
Greta Raye

Does anybody like or dislike (be brutally honest, I don't want her to hate me when she grows up) any of the names?

Report my news!

We went to have the 16 wks sonogram yesterday, it took us about 4 hours!!! sonogram was only 1 hours, seeing the doctor was only 10 mins, the rest was endless waiting... but we got very good news. Both babies are doing very well, all measurements are good. And we got to peek at the secrete, we are having two girls!

I am doing OK, just getting big too fast. :-)

Mary, I don't remember how many kids do you have. I think that will determine which car you get. We loved our HighLander when we had only one boy in the house. But now, we are expecting two more, so the minivan is the only option. Even though highlander has 3 row seats, the thrid row was not a full size row, it won't be easy to get the kids in and out. also, minivan's door slide open, very convenient for a family.

I would prefer a smaller SUV like a Toyota Highlander, I drove one of those for 6 years before the Civic and loved it with all of my heart. But the more I think about it, the minivan makes sense. Your thoughts or opinions? We'd be looking at 'tricked out', used, Honda Odyseys or Toyota Siennas.

Tifgrl - Congrats on the boys!

All of this talk about minivans and small SUVs has me wondering if the baby seat will fit in my Corolla. I love my Corolla and really don't want to get a new car so I'm crossing my fingeres that it fits (whenever we pick one out).

I just scheduled my anatomy scan! I'm so excited. It's scheduled for November 30th!

It will fit, and I am glad you love your Corolla! You will get a lot out of that car, my dad had one for 15+ years!

I love:

Gracie Raye
Lillian Raye

I am assuming your last name might be Buffington? If so, I like the Raye middle name a lot with the syllables. i'm not too keen on Hattie, but that's the only one that I would say I dislike.

We have already settled on Tyler John for our boy. We'd talked about names and were fairly settled on that for a boy, so we finalized in the ultrasound room. Done.

Hi guys. Thank you for the prayers.

Divi: cousin was weak from a couple of chemo treatments. he was in remission from leukemia and given VERY GOOD prognosis. he developed pneumonia and they chose to hospitalize him ... where he contracted the h1n1. his body could not take it. evidently it is brutal for people with asthma and lung conditions (like pneumonia).

Mary ... way to go get a mini-van. i have to say i'm more of an suv person .... but of course i drive a company sedan. no complaints on a company car (ha). do you have any concerns w/ toyota??? i have seen some things recently in the news about a potential recall and such regarding accelerators??? not sure. i love the look and feel of them though.

Stephanie, looks like you have a couple of more girls on your team. Yay!!! I love "oldie names" too. I like Lillian (Lily???) or I'm actually considering Libby (???). Not as fond of Delilah (but only b/c of the character in the Bible that tricked Sampson and cut his hair). What about Maggie??? That's another one I'm considering.

Anyway ... what other names are people considering. Maybe we will see one that just speaks to us. I knew of a lady that named her little one ... One Precious Moment. REALLY!!!! Mine would have to be "Finally One Invitro" -- ha!!!

Again, thanks for the prayers. They are needed.

Congrats on those twin girls!!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE all of them (except Molly reminds me of someone I don't care for...so I would cross that one off of my list )

I love old fashioned names also. We always keep our names secret/surprise til the baby is born or else I would share...but I really love your selection. You can't go wrong with any of them

and yay for the two girls!!! so exciting. I'm going nutty not knowing yet....sigh...one more week...just ONE more week! Tomorrow my 4 year old dd is getting her tonsils and adenoids removed. I'm a nervous wreck...it isn't really one of those 'absolutes'...we're thinking she has sleep apnea based on all of her symptoms...no throat issues or ear infections at all...so I feel like we're experimenting on her, but there was a study regarding large tonsils causing behavior problems in children secondary to sleep apnea and lack of sleep/oxygen to the brain etc etc...the ENT thought it was very likely this could be whats effecting her behavior and fatigue...so we're going for it and hoping/praying for the best. Keep her in your thoughts if you don't mind...she's my first born and she means the WORLD to me...I'm hoping we made the best decision for her. I hate putting her through this for no reason. sigh. Motherhood is so challenging...I hate the decision making part. I always second guess myself. She's so **** cute it crushes me to think of her in pain. Anyway...I'll update tomorrow

Hey everyone!
I just read all of the posts I've missed out on over the past few weeks. I've been pretty busy and feel as if I never get on here anymore. It's so exciting to see all the genders coming in! Congrats to all of you who were so lucky to find out this early. I go tomorrow for mine. I can't wait to find out! We have a 3-d ultrasound and they told me to bring a tape and they will tape it. So wish me luck that we can see the "right" parts! Let you all know how it goes tomorrow!

My son had his tonsils /adenoids removed when he was 3. They had the exact same concerns about him starting when he was about 2 but they wanted to wait until he got a little bit older. Unfortunately we waited a little too long and it got really bad really fast. He started losing weight because he couldn't swallow and then he seizured in his sleep. They said it was because when he laid down and relaxed that his tonsils and adenoids completely blocked his airway. I was soooo nervous about the surgery because he was so little and my only baby at the time. They said he was going to be sore for a few days and would probably only be able to eat soup and soft food for a few days. I stayed with him in the hospital the night of the surgery and my sister brought me a burger and fries because I was starving. When he saw them he inhaled my food without any problems, he never wanted to do the soft food thing. He was like a new kid after it was done and had no problems with recovery. He slept great with no snoring and suddenly had an appetite like I had never fed him before. The only thing that might surprise you is that their voices change after the surgery. At first it kind of freaked me out and I thought it would go back to his old voice after he completely recovered but it never did. It was so bizarre. I am sure she will do great but I will keep you guys in our thoughts and prayers. I really think that you will be happy woth the decision to do it sooner rather than later.
