Score one for the PINK team and one for the BLUE team for me!!! We are so excited and thrilled! The babies looked great and everything is progressing just as it is supposed to! I'm so, so excited now! Somehow knowing their genders makes them so much more real, I'm not sure why that is!

For the QOTD - I do not plan on BF. I tried with my son and did it for a month, but it was misery for me. My nippled are inverted and my son was tongue tied and couldn't latch on so I had to pump 100%. I even rented the hospital super powerful pump but I would pump for 45 minutes and be lucky to get 2 ounces. I also couldn't take my medications for my autoimmune disorder while I was trying to BF and ended up having a flare with inflammation in my lungs. So, this time around, I'm not even going to try. I'm just going to get on the meds I need and go straight to formula. I wish it was different because I know it's the best thing for the babies, but it just doesn't work right for me. I'm thankful they make formula or my babies would be in a heap of trouble!!

Hi Ladies, I am so bad with coming here. I have absolutely no privacy at work, and try to stay away from the site. I hardly even come online at home anymore... I guess life is changing already.

I guess we can add another for team pink. My anatomy scan isnt until 12/9, but I had to go in this week unexpectedly to check out my baby's spine following up on a spina bifida risk assessment. Because it is still a little early, the technician told me its only about 80% accurate, but Im pretty certain the bumps in the image are her labia.

I keep looking at furniture, and thinking I am getting ahead of myself, but then I come here and realize wow... I am right on time.

Good Saturday Morning!!

Congratulations to everyone who has just found out the sex. Anyone else (who wants to know) still waiting to find out?? It is amazing. I love being able to say she/her. My husband wants her named like yesterday though. The great name debate...oh my!!

As far as the QOTD: Yes, I am for sure going to try and breastfeed. I have to admit I am very nervous over the whole process though. Although I know it is completely natural, I am having a hard time visualizing myself doing it. I also plan on pumping so hubby can share in the fun

Anyone else having anxiety and feeling a little overwhelmed?? I used to be a rational and completely normal person. Right now, I cannot even make my mind up on which carseat to buy. I walk into BRU and feel completely lost. I think all the decisions that have to be made (bedding, paint, stroller, baby's NAME) are getting to me. Maybe I just need MaryMary to register for me ???

Good Saturday All,

Hope you are doing well.

Amy, I am still waiting to find out for sure what we are having. My Dr. won't do a sono until week 20 (she said she has seen too many false girls personally so ... -- could be the type of machine they use???) Well of course that week is T-giving, so I get to wait until 12/1 at almost 21 weeks (ha). Oh well. I am enjoying every minute, even the not knowing part.

QOTD Answer: I'm gonna try, but am not going to stress myself out like I have heard of many women doing. I will give it a good week and then decide. I won't buy a pump until I know for sure if the investment would be worth it. My hospital lets you rent theirs on a weekly basis, so I can see if I will have enough milk. My Mom never tried to BF and neither did my Grandma or my aunts, so ... I have no clue. I do have very blue veings visible now and my boobs are a little fuller (but I'm rather small chested so any fullter is a BIG improvement - ha). Everything I read says size makes no difference on milk supply, so that gives me hope.

Have a great weekend ALL.

PS: I'm with Amy on just letting Mary register for me ; ).

Happy weekend ladies!

Amy, I'm still waiting to find out. Although I'm at the very tail end of April so it's not surprising that I don't know yet. I find out on November 30th.

I also get overwhelmed when I think of all the baby stuff I need. I feel like it's so early but then I think of all the holiday stuff coming up and how it'll be almost the 3rd trimester before I know it.

QOTD: I do plan on attempting to BF. This is my first child so I'm not sure how it's going to go but I plan on trying it. I do plan on pumping so my DH can help.

i also thought i'd share some advice about crib shopping that dh and i found. we had found the cribs we wanted at both bru and target, but they were only available online. once they added in shipping, it was like an extra 200! so we went to amazon and searched the name of the cribs on there and that led us to a number of sites that sold the same crib. we were able to find one that had our cribs cheaper AND free shipping, so we saved a bunch. just wanted to let you know that maybe checking into some other sites other than the stores might help you out!

have a great weekend everybody!

which crib are you getting? good tip, thanks!!

This made me LOL!! I think BRU is way overwhelming, but going once to just look, and having my hubby with me, helped a lot. Plus the Consumer Reports book helped a lot. Now I am ready to just go and BUY it all LOL!!

happy Sunday everyone!

Just wanted to check in - feeling really good these days. I can't BELEIVE I'm 20 weeks already. On the downhill slope now, EEK!! I am trying not to freak out, but when there are less and less weeks left, I'm spooked! And excited!

My belly is getting bigger and bigger. I seriously need to take more pictures too. I've gained 14 lbs per my scale at home. Hubby said I have that pregnant woman's walk now. I don't beleive him.

Ha! I had to laugh about the 'pregnant woman's walk'....I totally have that too. I waddle...more so with a full bladder...but nonetheless I'm a waddler.

I have also gained about 14 or 15 pounds...I'm getting mad at myself b/c I'm eating all carbs and nothing healthy...just bagels and toast and pretzels...strange. No desire for meat or eggs or anything somewhat healthy. And we still have snack size snicker bars left over from Halloween...not good. I'm eating like 3 a day...granted their 'fun size'...but still 4 grams of fat per bar...yikes! My thighs are now "ginormous" - to pick one of my 4 year olds favorite words.

amyk-the first time my dh and i tried to register last weekend i was pretty much in tears when it was over. bru is SO overwhelming. there's so much stuff, and so much stuff i don't even know what it is, or if i need it or how much to get. it was crazy. yesterday my best friend met up with us and we went to target (which has more stuff than you'd think) and also back to bru. it was SO helpful to have a friend there with me who's been through it before. she's also someone who i completely trust her judgement when she tells me whether or not i need something, or if it's just a waste. so i highly recommend finding someone to go with you!

marymary-we got the divinci parker crib. it's at both bru and target, but again, we found it cheaper through amazon which led us to another seller. it's supposed to be "honey oak". it has a bit of a more orange tint to it, but nothing horrible. i love them. we got the changing table as well. dh already put them together. it's WAY early, but i think it's his way of being involved. hey, i can't complain about him being excited. it's great to see how he gets about all the stuff....even the registering.

have a great sunday everybody!

Pretty crib! I'm so jealous that you have them put together already! I wish we could buy ours now, but my parents have thier heart set on buying it for us, and have provided a January timeline for it. Can't WAIT!!
