Hi Deanna - I was just lurking on here and wanted to say congratulations again! Also, my beta at 18dp5dt was over 14,000 and I have just one in there. (Although I feel sick enough, I keep expecting them to find three more!!)

That's right, Amy. I forgot your beta was so high with just one. That's what I'm hoping that it's just a healthy singleton pregnancy.

I am on a cloud! I saw the little tadpole, the flicker of the heartbeat and HEARD it!
I am totally freakin out!

I only wanted one baby. Twins would have been ok but really difficult! My one little tadpole is enough! I can't imagine how tired I would be if I were prego with more! I would never get out of bed!

Carriebob...my mom had diabetes so I know what kind of challenging disease it can be. At least you are taking care of yourself from the beginning. And btw...I am crying a lot too. LOL
Gregslady...congrats on hearing a heartbeat that's awesome news. We are only a few days apart so I am hoping I get the chance to do that soon!

Deanna you'd better watch out for those high numbers because my first two beta's were on the high side too and this morning at my first u/s at my RE's office she told me....

I'm having TWINS!!!!!

I am awaiting my beta from yesterday but I can only imagine it's gonna be like 20,000 since it's been a week since the last one.

I cried on the exam table when my doc told me that there are two. She was like "are you okay Nancy" and I was like "yes, I'm fine...just in a bit of shock thats all" LOL

Now I am really considered "high risk" and she recommended that I see a high risk OBGYN. Now I am more worried than ever I guess I will make an appt to meet with him to discuss things. I really like my OB -I had my first appt with her yesterday but I don't know. I mean, if this guy knows more then I guess I should go to him. I will meet him and see how I like him. I want to feel comfortable with my doc whomever it is.

I am still in shock right now. Today is my 4 yr anniversary with my husband. I can't wait to tell him tonight. I didn't want to call him on the phone. I wanted to do it in person. Any ideas on what to do? We were going to make a nice quiet dinner at home...maybe I should make "two" of everything. Like "two" baby lamb chops and "two small potatoes...something like that. Sounds cute, right???

That's totally what I want...a boy and a girl. That would just be PERFECT...still got like 4 month before that news comes. Now you got me wanted to hear heartbeats!!!! I go back for my next u/s at my RE in two weeks and then my first u/s with my OB in 4 weeks on 10/8. All these appts...these are gonna be the most monitored babies in history! I am not complaining though. Now all I do is every night that everything goes according to plan and I have healthy babies (OMG...It feels weird to say babies) LOL

GregsLady, A heartbeat?!? Wonderful, wonderful thing to see.
I feel like my u/s is forever away! Not to mention my beta is still only 703. My NP says that's perfect, because it started at 50 and it has doubled every-other day. But she said if she had to guess, there is just one baby. I am pleased with that. I would have really liked twins, but one makes me just as happy.

Hi Everyone!! I am tentatively joining this group with fingers crossed!! I got my BFP this week and have had 1 beta.. Its still super early but I am optimistic!! I had my 1st baby this past Jan, he's not yet 8 months old and it looks like we're pregnant with number 2!! The nurses at the doctor's office keep asking me if I'm crazy, but I am SO excited. I know it won't be easy having them so close, but I feel so blessed. Kelton was a huge blessing and to be able to give him a brother or a sister is even better!. The fact that I had Kelton successfully makes me want to be optimistic about this one, but I think once you've had 1 miscarriage let alone 3, you are never confident until things are much futher along!! I am looking forward to getting to know you all and sharing this journey with you!!

NANCY! YAY! OMG... TWINS.. that's amazing! Have you told your DH yet? How are you going to/did you tell him? That is so awesome... isn't it neat to think how you'll get to do TWICE the shopping!.. and TWICE the gifts at your baby shower! Oh yeah!

DEANNA... So how did you find out about your Czech clinic? If I don't get my BFP this month, and those darn IUI's don't work either, IVF or adoption are our only options. And that does sound WAY cheaper.... but weren't you nervous having it done overseas... quality of care? That would scare me I think...


I'm still waiting on that BFP. I don't want to test early, so I'm just waiting for AF on Monday.

Flashgal...the only thing you are leaving off that list is twice the cost too...Argh!! No, I haven't told him...I am waiting until tonight so I can see him in person. Since today is our anniversary I am going to cook a special dinner tonight with two of everything. I am thinking 2 baby lamb chops, two small potatoes and maybe 2 double stuffed oreos for dessert. I need to add some other stuff but haven't though about it too much since I'm at work. I will see what hits me in the supermarket later. I am still letting it sink in!

NANCY, that's a cute idea. You shouldn't mention the significance of the "twos" tho. You should just ask him something like, "So, what should we name THE OTHER ONE??" (if you have already picked out a name) or "What do you think we should name THEM?" (if you haven't picked out names at all)

Greg'slady~ Yay!! What an exciting day for you seeing the heartbeat AND hearing it too. I wondered if we'd be able to hear it this early.

flashgal24~ I found out about Czech from a coworker who went there and had a baby. I did tons of research and felt VERY safe and good about my choice before I went. I talked to many people online that had gone about their experiences. I would never have gone a 2nd time if the 1st time wasn't excellent. I'd say it's a nicer clinic than many here in the US.
