Wow Peach - you had your hands full today!!! I would never let someone speak to me like that, let alone someone that is a contractor for you...sometimes I wonder. Hey and I live in Jersey and don't really experience people pulling the 'guns' or cursing...yes, people can be a bit harsh/rude at times, but never to that extent. You did the right thing...and yes it would have made great reality TV. I hope that it did not cause you too much stress and you feel ok. I am sure DH wants to find the guy!!

Havana - Hey girl. No the ER and my Dr. said take it as it goes with the bedrest. She wanted me to stay in bed for as long as I can until the spotting stopped completely. It seems though - everytime I do anything it starts up - and have tiny cramps. I know small cramps are normal...right???? I hope. Of course my MIL says today "when I had the twins, and all my kids I never got any spotting or anything" - urgh! My dh is a twin - so I guess she thinks it will be just like her pregnancy that was 32 years ago...

Jkris and Maybe - Thanks - I hope to stay in bed at least one more day. I have this job hanging over my head...and I just can't go on disability right now...not yet. I am just hoping that I can get through the first trimester.

We have a wedding next week - on a friday. I tell ya if it doesn't get better...how will I go? DH is in the wedding...and it's a big one down the shore (jersey shore). I normally would have loved to have gone...nothing is worth it though, right?

Me too Cat I hope this goes away soon...

As far as the kitchen, I agree. I wish I could move to Atlanta!!! but I would have a hard time selling my house here in NJ...it's a rough market. I would love that kitchen in my house for sure!

:O JustPeachy- Could you come and redo my kitchen??!! I absolutely love your taste on the flip house. Gorgeous. That guy was a wacko. Thank God everything worked out okay. What a nutcase. Oh and what were the previous owner's of your current house thinking when they painted the room black??

Lorenali- I hope your spotting stops soon and that you are up & about. Hang in there.

MaggieMay- Showed my Dh your list. He says "we need all of this??!!" I think he freaked out a little. I told him no, that they were only suggestions but that yes, we would probably need most of it. hahaha

Awwww.... I'm blushing! Thanks for the compliments! It's my dream kitchen too. Afterall, who wouldn't love entertaining with a 10 ft. marble island? It's just one of those houses that really shines at the end. Lots of arches all over and neat architectural details from the 1920's.

Nathalie - I'm too scared to show DH the "list". I mentioned it today but that will have to wait till after the big item purchases before he freaks out. Or, I've got to make lots of girlfriends quick around here to have a full crowd at the shower

Alicia - I know Philly is having a bit of a slow year too in real estate than the past. I have a good friend who is a realtor up there. Doesn't matter, those babies are nice and comfy right where they are!

Good Morning everyone...

Cat - I still sleep on my tummy. It is the only way I fall asleep. Don't know what I'll do when it becomes impossible. Don't know about the ice cream but a good question considering there are raw products in there. You may want to switch.

Peachy- I too love the kitchen. Here in Florida the market has been slow and the rising costs of insurance contribute to that. We have discussed moving but I'd hate for one of us to have to stay behind until the house sold.

Maggie May- I am interested in your list as well. It has been 7 years, so I am once again new to this.

I also love the belly shots...I don't have that tummy yet. I have a swollen lower abdomen that looks like I have had one to many beers. Can't wait for it to actually look pregnant.

Sorry if I have forgotten anyone. I am off to work and still have to figure out what to wear.

Everyone have a great day!!!!!!

Peachy - that is an insane story! Yikes!! I LOVE how that kitchen turned out though. Do you remember what the dimensions of that kitchen were? It looks huge!

I want to learn to knit too! I have this friend (more like a sister, really....we've been friends since we were 2 years old!) that knits like crazy. When I told her I'm pregnant, she was SO excited to start knitting loads of baby stuff. hahaha There is a cute knitting store in my town that gives classes so I've been meaning to check it out...

Ladies, I am SO tired today and my sinuses are killing me. We had no water in our house last night so we had to spend the night at my in-laws....which means sleeping in a bedroom in a finished basement on cots. This was not a comfortable night....between the cot and the mustiness of the basement, I'm feeling like poo today. But, we are lucky we had a place close by to crash....I know that....I just feel yucky today.

Boston- will you have water tonight? Any chance you can crash on the couch at your in-laws if not? Would that be anymore comfortable? at least it wouldn't be musty?

Bri- I've decided I need to go shopping. I bought some stuff from nordstrom online, but just shirts as I have no clue which size pants to buy, but I want a couple nice pairs so I can dress up some. I just feel a little better when I think i look nice. At the moment, I'm wearing an oversized polo shirt and maternity jeans that i had bought online at oldnavy but are a little big and I feel like such a ragamuffin!

I had mint icecream w/ eggo waffles for breakfast so today my stomach is nice and big, even in the am

Good luck Maggie May- let us know how it goes when you can! What time's your appt?

Ugh...pants have been difficult, Havana. I did find a pair at Gap Maternity that have a panel (it's a low panel, not one that comes up to my boobs) and they are pretty comfy. All the "real waist" skirts and pants I have are still a little big but I've been wearing them with the increasingly uncomfortable Bella Band to hold them up. I think I need to just bite the bullet and bring my clothes to my friend...she is from Japan and went to school for fashion design there and she is a WHIZ at alterations and designing/making custom clothes. I think I'll have her alter the pants I bought all ready and see if she's willing to try her hand at making me some pants....I know maternity is a whole new ball game though so she may not want to do it.

Hi Girls -- About knitting, it is super easy to learn, but don't try learning from a book! I took a beginner's class once a week for a month at a knitting store. Then I continued classes for another couple months to learn intermediate and advanced techniques and patterns. It is addictive and highly cathartic, not to mention productive! I have already knit three hats and a sweater for my piglet and plan to knit a bunch more!

Peachy - Love the kitchen! What a transformation! The white cabinets and stainless steel appliances remind me of mine, except I have black slab granite countertops and my island isn't actually the size of an ISLAND! We gutted our entire house before we moved in, so I know all about dealing with contractors. Ugh! I am so sorry about the big altercation but you handled it perfectly and thank goodness there were other workers there to back you up.

Oh everyone, if your DH gets scared about "the list" remind your him that people will buy you a lot of that stuff esp. the toys, swing, clothes, blankets, etc. at your shower(s). My bestfriend and co-workers are already planning showers which is so darn sweet of them! One of them is on December 1st so if any of you are in this neck of the woods then, you'll have to come out! Oh wait, none of us should probably be traveling very far at that point, and Miss Joy you certainly shouldn't be! Scratch that.

Bri - I would love to send you the list, just PM me your email address.

List additition -- a pack and play, goes under "getting from A to B." Graco is the largest producer of them and there are a ton of choices at Babies R Us. I'm sort of one the fence, but my friends say they love them and use theirs all the time. The mattresses always seem too thin and close to the metal hardware for me. I'll still register for one though and see.

Okay, today is the big amnio day. I go in at 8:45 pst and will probably have the amnio about 90 minutes later. Starting to get serious butterflies about the whole thing. I'll post when I get back later today.

Oh- they sell pack and play mattresses at babies r us-- which if you're flying somewhere, is not helpful, but if you're driving, it is and dd sleeps a lot better w/ the extra mattress in it. Although as a baby, she slept ok in the pack and play w/out it (we've flown about 4 places w/ her)

Knitting-- I took a class at Joann's Fabric store- most of them have the classes. Unfortunately, I haven't done any knitting lately, but would like to start it up again

Boston- can i come visit your friend too? I'm just in need of a mini makeover

And MM, just keeping telling yourself it will be okay. Keep breathing. I found taking a book and magazine to read while waiting was helpful because it gave me something to take my mind off it.
