Robin- Too funny not being able to use the name Charlotte because of where you live!

Boston- Your dad sounds so cute. How sweet of him to worry about you. I love it.

MM- I love the name!! Beautiful! We have come up with two names. The middle names are family members. Girl- Ava Josephine (my mom's middle name) and Boy- Kellan Gregory (my husband's deceased brother). I have always loved the name Ava. Dh came up with Kellan or Kellen from Ireland. I am not crazy about it since my Grandmother, who only speaks spanish, will not be able to pronounce it.

Cat- The book was "Picture Perfect". It was okay, but not as good as "My sister's keeper". Is it you with the Mint Chocolate Chip icecream craving? I had waffles this morning but no icecream.

I have a question for you girl's. You may have already covered it before. Does anyone color their hair? If so which brand do you use? The reason I am asking is because I stopped coloring when I was going through the IVF and I desperately need to color again. But I am afaid of all of the chemicals. I now have dark brown roots, brassy ugly highlights, and gray streaks all over. UGH!! Help! Is it really bad to do it while we are pregnant? Thank you.

Gotta run, it's my volunteer day! Have a great day guys.

Nathalie

Hey Girls!

Boston - I'm sorry you aren't sleeping well! I hate that! I woke up at 2am from some major thunderstorms we were having and tossed and turned the rest of the night! Its SO frustrating. But, I don't have to go to work...thats where I really feel for you. I'm glad you are taking work off tomorrow to recuperate...I think that sounds like a great idea!

Ahhh...names! Well, as you know, we had to come up with 6 that we REALLY loved in case we had 3 of one sex (which turns out was a good plan).

Boys were going to be:

William (Will)
Carter
Asher
We also liked Grant

Girls are now probably going to be (dh won't commit to anything until he sees them)

Campbell Irene (Irene is my mom's middle name) she will be "Cami" for nickname

Reese Marie (Marie is his mom's middle name)
"Reesie" for nickname

Sloan Kristine (Kristine is my middle name)
not sure what to call her for a nickname!

So, there's the rundown. I'm trying to avoid overly popular names, but I think Reese is up there right now. Oh well. I like how they sound together...Campbell, Reese & Sloan. Also, any thoughts on putting 2 nn's at the end of Sloan? I don't want it to look like Slo-ann on paper. That just sounds dumb!

Joy-nice girl names. We haven't even seriously thought of any names yet. We'll find out the sex next week and then we'll have to open the name books again.

MM-So glad that everything went well and congrats on the baby girl!!

For those who aren't sleeping well: I ended up buying the leacho body pillow someone here recommended (MM maybe?) and used it last night. I actually had a pretty good night's sleep. I think a regular fluffy body pillow would work too. This one takes up alot of room.

I love seeing everyone's name choices! They're all so cute!

Joy - one of my friends named her son William and calls him Will...I love that. AND, I love the name Asher....I kept saying it to my DH in the hopes that he'd start to like it but, so far he's not budging. I think the fact that I liked the meaning is what drew me to it. The girls names are great!

Nathalie - Everything I've read and been told by my Dr says that it's perfectly fine to get your hair colored. If you absorbed any of it through your scalp, it would be such a small amount that it wouldn't hurt the baby. The trickier part is standing the smell of the chemicals. I don't do my own hair color...I just plop my but in the stylist's chair and zone our for 3 or 4 hours when I get my cut and foils done....it's nice and relaxing!

Nat - My favorite niece's name is Eva! I love that name! I also really like Kellan though I understand about grandparents not being able to say names! I hope Kellan grows on you because it's a great name.

Peachy - Annabelle is so sweet. I can totally see you with an Annabelle. I'm excited to hear your boy name once you pick one!

Joy - All your names are great. I think Sloan spelled the way you have it is perfect. If you wanted to add a letter, I'd add an "e" to the end of it but not another "n" because you're right, people will call her Slo-Ann!

If we had a boy, the name we picked is Reid Joseph (Joseph is my oldest brother's name). If we have another baby and he's a boy, we will still name him that!

Reading about all your names is so fun!!!

I've had my hair colored already during the pregnancy. I just do one straight color to cover some grays (it's a semi-permanent) and I did it at the salon too. Takes maybe an extra 30 minutes and didn't have any harsh smells. I think most of the books recommend waiting till after the 1st trimester (which I did not do). My SIL had highlights done in her hair during pregnancy at least twice.

Joy - Great name options there. Wow. Having to pick 3 first and 3 middle names would keep me busy for a while. I have to tell you my Mom put an extra letter in my first name and it never gets spelled right. To be honest, unless it's a bank account or credit card, I don't even bother correcting people anymore. So, one vote for the simplest spelling I used to be sad when I was younger and we would go to the art festivals and none of the booths would have anything with my name spelled right... now I just ignore it.

Off to show some houses over here. Please may my buyer finally find something she likes and it not go under contract this morning!

I love hearing everyone's names too!! Boston - I agree...I think Asher is such a cool name! Kinda sad we can't use it.

MaggieMay - one of my best friends named her daughter Charlotte and I absolutely love it! Very classy!

Robin - too funny that you don't want to use it because you live there. I was the same way about Peyton...I love that name for a girl, but since the Indianapolis Colts won the Super Bowl this year and Peyton Manning was the MVP, I was afraid people would think we named her after him and that's just dorky.

Thanks for all the help on Sloan. I think we will leave it just the way it is. Simple, but hey, my name is simple and I like it.

Nathalie - I meant to respond about the hair coloring...like Peachy, I've had mine done since getting pregnant (at 13 weeks) and my dr. said it was fine. He did recommend going to a stylist because their products are usually less chemically based than some of the stuff you can buy at the store. He said Aveda is great (which is where I have been going for years) because its all natural. Hope that helps! And, I think your name is beautiful! I absolutely love those two names together!!

Peachy - good luck today with your buyer!!! Send a buyer my way, please!!

ahhha! I just wrote this response to everyone and then my internet went out! Joy-we had a big storm here too last night, and I dont things are quite the same. frustrating...

Anyway, I love hearing about all the baby names! I really thought this baby was a girl so I had all these girl names picked out. The challenge is, the baby HAS to have a name that will translate from English to Spanish easily since DH's family only speaks Spanish. Boy names seem to be really hispanic so Im still working on it.. Let me know if you have any ideas besides Julio, Jose and Don Juan de Marco.

Maggie-Glad you like the pillow. It was me that had bought it ages ago. It is big, but after 3 nights you'll wonder what you did without it!

Robin-Good luck with selling your home! For you!!

Boston-Do you get to go home tonight for a good night's sleep? DO you have water yet??

Speaking of sleep, I woke up in agony last night from a cramp in my calf! OMG! I think I scared DH out of his mind! It hurt so bad, I could still feel it this morning? Oh great, are these the things to come??

SO I think Im having my anatomy scan early compared to you that are ahead of me. Mine is next Thursday! My mom is coming up for the occasion. I think she is still holding out for the girl!

Good afternoon ladies!

MM- I’m SO happy everything went well!!! Congrats on your baby girl!

Havana- you can save that sample for another several months. So sweet about the blanket My nails are growing much faster than usual my manicures don’t last very long anymore! I too had a pretty bad cramp as well on Monday night It felt like my whole calf just seized up!

Bri01- lucky charms is one of my favourites! But for some reason I find it too sweet now

Robin- Lets hope all that cleaning paid off- I wish you a quick sale!

Kris- I like the name William, that’s my nephew’s name

Peachy- good luck with your client!

I had the most beautiful bouquet of flowers deliveries to work, my mom sent them
I don’t have any baby names picked I’m think Peter Joseph (after my hubby & my beloved grandfather) for a boy, but that’s about it...nothing for a girl

Havana - what about a name that has a Spanish equivalent? So, you and your family can call him by his English name and your in-laws can use the Spanish equivalent...so, Peter/Pedro, John/Juan, Alexander/Alejandro, Michael/Miquel etc. David works for both languages (now I'm trying to think of baseball players . Or you could choose a Spanish middle name and your in-laws could call him by his middle name.

Yes, we do have water! And we were able to sleep at home last night....I just had a hard time sleeping. I have so much on my mind these days, I think that might be part of it. In addition to the house, the pregnancy, a ton of deadlines coming up at work, I have to deal with the politics surrounding the baby shower planning. For some reason, I have to mediate between my MIL and my mom. And, though I love my mom to death, I know the issues are mostly in her head...she's perceiving things that just aren't true because of all her insecurities. It's pi$$ing me off. I think it's very immature.
