This isn't your Anatomy Scan (2nd level u/s) right? That's next week? If it's just your 2nd regular OB appt -- My 2nd OB appt was no big deal. We listened to the heartbeat and the Dr felt around my abdomen and measured to make sure it seemed like my uterus was in the right range. They took my weight....talked about any questions I had and that was it! No blood drawn at that visit!!!

Havana, I'm debating whether i want a new mattress or if first I should try the pillow! Spanish baby names - Spanish Girl (Female) Names, Spanish Boy (Male) names
has some names, hard to go through them all, but I like Dante and Damion and Nicolas and Rafe. I also had a friend who was anthony growing up but his spanish
relatives called him Tito... Happy picking!

Boston, JustPeachy & Joy- Thank you for the advice on the haircoloring. Great idea on going to Aveda. I think that is what I am going to do, call them up for an appointment problem is the closest one is in St. Louis, 2 hours away. Oh well.

Boston- Asher sounds adorable!!

Joy- Thanks for the compliments on the name. And I love Sloan! That sounds great. I don't mind telling you guys our choices but here in town when people ask I play dumb and tell them we haven't come up with any. Otherwise they'll steal them or they will tell someone else and so on. That's what my friend's have told me.

Havana- I feel your pain about the Hispanic names. My dad thinks it's hilarious (he is Bolivian) to call me up and say "How is my little Ramon, Pedro, Esmeralda, etc... doing?" Meanwhile my dad's name is Carlos. I just play along and tell him we are going to name the baby "Carlitos".

Robin- Uh-oh on the neighbors selling their house. It always happens. You put your house up for sale and another 3 on your street go up the same week. And Maybebaby is right, some will just show up at your open house just to be nosy. Arghhhh!! Goodluck.

Cat915- I had to laugh when you wrote about Anthony being translated to Tito. I have one of those in my distant family (3rd or 4th cousin) but he is a thug. Of course no offense to your friend! My uncle Raymond in spanish we call him "Tio Tavito".

Cat-thank you for the website. I had actually seen that one too! Great minds think alike...I guess I'll wait until Thursday to start really worrying about it when I find out if my body really did make boy parts...

Boston-Guess what?? After lots of frustration I have no pants. Really nothing fits and I almost wore my bathing suit cover up out of the house today because it is elastic. I'd had it. I went BACK to the maternity store and GUESS WHAT-the smalls that used to fall to the floor frickin fit. Mind you, some things aren't perfect, but close enough. I bought 5 pairs of shorts and capri pants. Everything was so super on sale that I thought its now or never. SO you might want to try again. I cant believe my body has changed this much...My DH told me while I was lying in bed that I looked 'wide'. another . He didnt mean anything by it, but I was like oh no! My body! My hips! Where did they go???

Oh, my hips are still here Havana-- and they're getting bigger by the day! But if DH told me I looked "wider", he'd better staying of object-throwing range!!!! You have plenty of time to figure out a name My friend's baby was due last week (still hasn't delivered) and they still haven't chosen a name! (well, she likes one name and her dh likes another, I think that she'll win out after she gives birth because he'll cave after seeing that ).

As far as clothes, I plan on going to the mall one of these nights but I'm just SO tired when I get home from work, make dinner, play w/ dd and put her to bed that I can't imagine going back out... maybe on saturday I can manage to get some shopping in... I'm meeting friends on monday at a nicer restaurant and I would like to have something that looks nice and fits well! I'm hoping my nordstrom stuff comes in soon.

Boston- I missed the part earlier about you mediating- that stinks!! I'm sorry. Can you tell your mom that she's imagining it? Or will that hurt her feelings? Good luck figuring it out! And maybe you can make your sister mediate under the pretense that you don't want to know all of the details

Nathalie- my friend is quite a sweet guy but I can see Tito fitting a thug as well

Nathalie - I've been using Aveda for a while and love their products. Great idea to use them for your coloring. I know Aveda here in Atlanta even has several training schools where you can go for discounted services. I don't know if I would brave a new haircut but a simple one color would probably be safe.

Robin - Expect to have every neighbor you have and haven't met at the open house! Happens every time. I hope you get some real buyers mixed in there too.

Joy - We need to send buyers your way too. When's your next open house? Are they very popular in Chicago?

Cat - I hear you with being exhausted at the end of the day and you've already got a little one to take care of! Rest up and hit the malls Saturday.

Thanks for all the tips on the 2nd OB appt. I have mine next week. I had a long day but my buyer made a very fair offer on a house. I'll have my fingers crossed for the next 36 hours till we know. I really hope the third time is the charm for this buyer!

I just got the new Pottery Barn Kids catalogue in the mail today. It has the cutest girl's room ever! I guess I can still drool and hope my "extra" anatomy magically disappears on my level 2 u/s...

Cat- Try the pillow. It's alot cheaper and it is really comfy. I can't believe that I was finally able to sleep last night b/c of it. Hopefully it'll last.

Havana- I can't believe he called you wide. DH and I were at friend's last weekend and the husband tells DH I'm having a girl. Apparently this is b/c if you're having a girl you spread out and look wider. Nice. I don't think I look wide, thank you. Not very, anyway.

I'm hitting some maternity stores tomorrow. My pants are getting tight in the waist now, so I would imagine that I'm ready for the stretchy stuff. Sadly, I am also getting some mild back pain and last night sitting in my favorite chair my right foot kept going numb. I am sad that I can't slouch in that chair anymore, but I don't want to irritate those nerves. Anyone getting these symptoms?

For a girl we have- Tatianna Nikole

We like the name Jayden and he has a friend named Taaleak

I have always liked the name Tatianna and my dd wanted the baby if it is a girl to have her middle name.

Boston - Good luck on mediating. I agree with Peachy on the family dramas around big events. I went head to head with my mother about my wedding which we paid for ourselves. Stick to your guns...so to speak.

Havana- People say some of the most off the wall things to you when you are pregnant, you have to learn to ignore. Personally I will have to restain myself from people that want to be touchy feely. I'll have to wear a shirt stating don't touch.

Nathalie- I color my hair with no problems. I think they worry if you are bleaching more so than anything else.

Robin- Sounds like your neighbors want to give you some competition. To bad you have the inside scoop on this site from two realtors that can give you plenty of good advice

Cat- I think my belly, boobs and rear end are getting bigger....not the hips. I still look like I have a beer gut vs. a pregnant belly. Do the boobs stop growing at some point? They are starting to look real big.

Maybebaby- Thanks for the updated list though I think that my next NT scan is Sept 13 at 830am central time. I hope to find out this baby's sex prior to that though. I feel like I am the last to find out....
