Hey Ladies!!!

First of all, thank you SO much for your thoughts regarding the fainting stuff. Cat - you are the master of research! Thanks for all those helpful tips! Peachy - you made me feel so much better about the appointment. I hope to goodness they wouldn't make me run on a treadmill, but it doesn't sound like you had to, so I'm hoping they realize thats crazy for a woman who is pregnant with trips! My OB thinks at this point its really just the fact that my body is having a hard time keeping up with producing so much extra blood! I've never had any heart problems in the past...so we will just hope/pray it stays that way!!

I love all this nursery room talk!! Where is MaggieMay to give us her suggestions? We are going to do a combo of bedding from Pottery Barn Kids...this comforter/bumper (because it comes in 3 colors we will do one for each girl...how cool is that??): pottery barn kids | isabelle nursery bedding

And, then these sheets: pottery barn kids | pink katie patchwork nursery bedding - hard to see, but they have polka dots on them and the other side of the bumper has big polka dots. Can't wait!!

Cat - I LOVE your colors! Still makes me wish (ever so slightly) that there was a boy in there. But, hopefully, one day we will get our little boy...if we decide to have more!

Boston - how fun that you and dh are going shopping!!! Enjoy your day and try not to worry about the family drama. Just focus on your little family for now and the rest will fall in to place!

Ohhhh...football season! I LOVE football season! DH is thrilled that its right around the corner too!

Urgh... I know Robin. DH is a Steelers fan. He made me call the cable company to get him NFL network this week and now he starts watching first thing in the morning. I guess that's why he wanted to paint by next weekend but we won't know the gender by then and I've got a romantic weekend planned (w/o the bd'ing that is per doc)!

Cat - You could always email it to yourself and go to a Kinko's and print it off with their color laser printers.

Nathalie - Eat away!! It's the one time in our life where you can fun eating anything

Joy - You're bedding is adorable and I love that it comes in three great colors. You'll have such a cute room. Try not to worry about the cardiologist. It must be your body adjusting to the increased blood flow. I have a feeling that's what's been causing my palpatations to get worse. And, there is no way they will make you run on the treadmill (a stress test) pregnant! That's the reason for sending you home with the event monitor. Most likely they won't see anything on your in-office EKG so then they'll have to try to catch the irregularity on the home monitor.

Joy- I LOVE the bedding and so cool that they have separate, yet similiar bedding and the same sheets that go w/ all will make washing & changing sheets so much easier! Have you decided which girl gets which color? And are they all having their own rooms?

I like football season, but it's hard getting dh to do that much during it so I'm glad it's much shorter than baseball season!

Peachy, I'm saving it to my memory key as we speak and I think i will go to kinkos very soon

Hi Ladies,
I love all the baby room painting you guys are picking out! Cat, its so pretty, but looks complicated! I hope you are Picasso with a paint brush!

Cat-I use my pillow on top of the leacho body pillow. Its not quite high enough without it.

Joy-Sorry to hear about your fainting spells still going on. Are you still working? Are you allowed to drive? Im thinking not since you cant go out alone. I hope DH doesnt get on your nerves too fast!

My OB appointment went great today. We only heard the heartbeat and since we own the monitor is no big thrill these days. No bloodwork, just pee in a cup. I hope no antibiotics this time!

Wait,Robin-arent' you finding out the gender soon?? I need to go check your signature!!! ok, editing now! 3 more days!!!! AHHH

Hi Ladies!

Sorry I've been MIA, I was offline all day hanging out with my sister. I went with her to my nephew's 6 month visit/vaccination so I could meet her pediatrician and decide if I want to go with him too. I think I am, he is super great, spends a lot of time with you - doesn't rush in and out, and even gives you his email address and home number. I'm sold! Also, we made a pitstop at the Nordy's sale....oh the damage that was done!!!

Havana for another great OB visit!

Joy -- I saw that PBK bedding too and even though I love the Serena and Lily I picked out, I really debated about the Isabelle in lavender. I even bought the bolster pillow home to see how I felt about it! I just LOVE that bedding and the pricepoint is great! You have me VERY worried with this fainting, but I still know everything is going to be fine! Follow all of Dr. Cat's suggestions and yes, do not go anywhere alone. I know it must be very scary and I want you to know I am praying that the stop!

Peachy - I love stripes! I'm planning on doing one horizontal stripe with a few thinner ones and then a few scattered polka dots in the wide stripe. Then I'm stenciling in all lower case "charlotte" over where the crib goes. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you get your stroller yet?

Well I am still counting down the days until the results. Trying to keep the faith that everything is perfect. Next week by this time I'll know...so nervewracking. I'll have lots of distractions though -- on Tuesday I'm hosting a bridal shower luncheon and on Friday a 30th birthday bash that seems to keep growing. It's about this time that I wonder to myself..."why oh why did I volunteer to do this?!"

Have a great weekend everyone!

M&M- We missed you today with all the shopping and decorating talk! Sounds like you had a fun day and what an incredible peditrician - giving out a home number and email these days. Your room is sounding cuter and cuter every day! Are you very artistic or do you have incredible painters? Just curious. I'm trying to decide how much I can take on myself. Oh, and I keep going back to your Serena bedding... I like the boyish patterns with the elephants. So many decisions. We haven't bought our stroller yet but at least it's one thing we're decided on! Once the furniture decisions are made and ordered, we'll start on the other items.

I know next week is a tough week for both you and Cat waiting on lab results. We're here with both of you.

Havana- Glad to hear all went well!

MaggieMay- We figured you were out shopping and couldn't get to a computer. Lucky you with the pediatrician who you can reach anytime! Goodluck with that bridal shower. All of your hard work will pay off.

You girl's amaze me with all of the nursery room decorations. My baby is going to want to live in one of your rooms instead of ours.

havana, glad your appt went well, albeit boring! Our next rounds of appts, everyone should have u/s so that should be fun- starting w/ Robin in 3 days! Oh and I built on what peachy was say in order to do the painting, in the stripe area, i first paint the light color then get different widths of painters tape and do two stripes of tape where I want that to stay, then I paint the next lighter color and cover that up w/ tape and then the darker colors... So, tedious, but I don't think too complicated. First I have to pack up everything that's in the current guest room that is going to become baby's room!

MM- glad you found a pediatrician, ours doesn't give out home number but they have someone "on-call" 24 hours a day that you can reach to ask questions. I like that a lot. I'm still waiting for my nordstrom stuff to arrive but am debating checking the store too Although DH thinks this month that we're maxed out (he doesn't see the bill but knows we had to pay for dog's surgery and to get the car fixed and to finish upgrading the master bath, so it's a darn expensive month, but i figure if we have to transfer money from savings anyways, what's a couple hundred extra? Glad you have plans to keep your week busy!

Hi everyone. Hope you're all having a nice weekend.

Cat- Yes, you can use a regular pillow w/ the body pillow. I positioned it with the open end on top and use my own pillow for my head. I also really like the colors and the stripes for the baby's room!

Joy-Sorry to hear about the continued fainting spells, but it sounds like you're getting great medical care, and I'm sure everything will turn out fine. Take care of yourself.

I found out yesterday that my cumulative NT/screening tests are normal. I still have to call and find out the ratio, though. I did a little shopping last night, and found that destination maternity and motherhood had some cute tops. I didn't like most of the bottoms though-alot of them had huge panels that came way above my waist. No way I'm wearing something that uncomfortable. I'm off to check out Old Navy maternity in a little bit. I'm sure they must have lower rise pants.

Hi everyone!

Wow, I just keep looking at the tickers, tick-tocking by in amazement. Maggie01-can you believe you're going to be 18 weeks soon? And Robin and Mirka and Joy too! Its amazing how time flys.

MM-We werent worried, we knew that you were out shopping and the credit card was on fire. One year I spent so much $$ Christmas shopping that the credit card company called to make sure it wasnt fraudulent. "ring, ring", "Hello MaggieMay? We were just calling to see why your credit cards are on fire..." We at Visa so appreciate your business and want to give you a huge credit increase. HAHAHA

Cat-Did you order your pillow yet?

DH and I are cleaning up the office/guest room to make room for baby. We're trying to get organized!! We dont plan on staying in our place for long after the baby so no complicated stripes for me! Oh.. but they are sooo adorable!

Ok-countdown for Robin is ON! I cant wait to find out!!!

Maggie01- Happy news about your NT scan!

Havana- You are too funny with the credit card story! I am sure that they were happy to know that you were shopping away.

Robin- Cannot wait to find out either!

JustPeachy- Fantastic news about your picky buyer!! And she is finally out of the ghetto, even better.

Well, scary night last night. I had cramps off & on yesterday all day. Not too bad, kind of felt like menstrual cramps. Well this morning at around 12:30am, I woke up in pain. The pain was centered just above my pubic bone and the area was hard. I thought they were contractions. I got up and walked around (I didn't want to wake Dh just yet). I laid down in one of the guest rooms and the pain would come in waves. I thought I was having a m/c, no blood but lots of pain. I cried. The last time I looked at the clock it was after 3am. Thought we were going to have to go to the hospital (I have a high threshold for pain so for me to complain about it was bad). Dh woke at 6am mad at me for not telling him. I called my ob/gyn's answering service, he called right back. We figured out it was more than likely my fibroids. I have 2 that were small but have since grown. He called it a degenerative fibroids. Painful once the blood supply is running out for it. Told me to take Tylenol. I have been laying down all day in and out of sleep. Feel a little better. If I don't feel better by Tuesday then I will go & see the ob/gyn but basically there is nothing they can do except drug me up until it goes away on it's own. Dh is a amazing. Thanks for letting me air it out, I feel better. JustPeachy, wish I still had my heart monitor one more week!!

Hey January ladies -

I've been stopping in and love to read about all of your updates. Nathalie was in the May buddies thread so I like to check in! I also enjoy reading your posts - Robin, MM, Peachy, havana, maggie, cat, maybebaby, joy, etc!

Nath - just wanted to say that I'm sorry you endured that pain last night - it must have been so scary! I'm happy to hear that it's probably the fibroids, and not something else! I will be checking back in to see how you and the others are doing! I love to see those tickers just flying by! It's so exciting!

Take care ladies!
Shelly

HI, just dropping in to say hello...

and hope

Joy- you are feeling better each day. I hope the fainting spells have stopped...and I have been thinking of you...

Nathalie - Are you going to get a scan? I hope you are feeling better as time goes on. Pain can be very scary - just know we are here for you and hopefully it was just the fibroids kicking in. Hang in there.
