Nathalie- Oh no!! I am so sorry for your pain. Can the doctor do an u/s to see the progress of the fibroids? Or at least give you a timeline as to what to expect these next few days. What a worrisome evening! And, without our friend the monitor. Urgh. I hope you are feeling a little better by now. Is the tylenol helping with the pain?

Joy - I finally got my heart monitor (event monitor) for me today. Just wanted to let you know it's not horrible if that is one of the cardiologist's recommendations tomorrow. A little annoying to be wearing electrodes attached to your chest all day with wires all over but not terrible. Just awkward. And, starting to itch now at the end of the day. The monitor itself looks just like a pager and it clips to your waistband. It's doable

I've been having some strong cramps too this weekend. Is this just a growing stage for our ligaments? One of my OB questions for my Thursday appt.

Shelly- Hello! So nice to see you. Thanks for checking in. I have missed you. I pm'd you. I hope you are doing well. No more falling!!

Lorenali- Thank you. I felt better knowing that my girl's would send me good thoughts my way. Yes, I will probably go on Thursday (that is when my ob/gyn has his u/s tech in). Goodluck at your ob/gyn appointment tomorrow. Let us know how it goes.

JustPeachy- Thanks girl. I am still in pain but not as much. Popping the Tylenol but hating to do that. I don't even take aspirin when I have a headache!! I read up on degenerative fibroids and some women go on to deliver normally or pre-term (but healthy) and some m/c. It just depends. I will definitely have the ob/gyn let me know the size of my fibroids and I will keep myself more informed about it than I was before. I am praying for a healthy, normal pregnancy.
Now, how long do you have to wear those electrodes? Can you wear them comfortably under your clothes? Keep us posted on what your Dr. says.

Nathalie

Nathalie- I agree I would go and get those checked out. I had a neighbor years ago, that had the same problem.

Peachy- Are you sure they are cramps or are those perhaps sensations from the baby moving around? Congrats on the buyer....

Robin- Good luck on your scan. Can't wait to find out what you are having.

I have to live through all of you for several more weeks until we find out.

Maggie May- I am so jealous of your shopping ability. I want to start shopping, however, I want to know the gender first.

Maggie01- I received my results back as well. Our chance of having a baby with Downs prior to the test was 1 in 513 and after it was 1 in 10,241 and the other part of the test prior to the test our chance was 1 in 875 and after 1 in 17,481. I am so relieved.

Nathalie- Sorry to hear you had such a scary experience and so much pain. Peachy made a good point, maybe an u/s would at least let you know how things are progressing. I hope you continue to feel better.

Bri- Sounds like great results! Congratulations.

Robin- Enjoy your u/s tomorrow, can't wait to hear what you're having.

Okay, not so many stripes perhaps, and not quite this shade of blue (i did this in microsoft paint and couldn't make the color i was envisioning), but what does everyone think?

I really like those colors Cat!! I hope you enjoyed your pedicure on Sunday!!

Joy - I love the bedding you chose! I saw it at Pottery Barn Kids this weekend...it's so cute!

Nathalie - I am so sorry to hear about the pain you were in. I hope it's something that won't continue to bother you!

Robin - I can't wait to hear about the results from your appt today!!

I've been putting off calling my doctor but, now my DH is on my case about it. The issue I'm having with my hips and the nerves is getting so much worse...I can't sleep for more than an hour or two without waking up in terrible discomfort...sometimes it feels like someone is stabbing me with a hot poker in my left thigh. *sigh* I really want to wait until my next appt in 2 weeks to talk to my doctor about it but I don't know if I can!!

Thanks, Robin. Unfortunately, that doesn't help me...it makes me feel worse. I have a defect in my hips...simply put, they're put together kind of wrong. They could have corrected it by cutting through the top of my thigh bone and repositioning how the ball of the femur sits in the hip socket and breaking my legs below my knee to straighten that part out and rotate that properly...but it would have meant almost a year in a body cast from just above the waist down to my toes and learning how to walk again. Not something that is appealing to a 13 year old girl! So, my hips just naturally rotate in a different way....and putting a pillow between my legs forces my legs apart in a way that isn't natural for my hips. I've tried it a few times always with bad results.

Back when I was 13 or so, an orthopaedic surgeon told me that I'd have a hard time with pregnancy because of it and he said that I may even have to stay in bed because walking may become too painful or difficult. I just didn't expect to start having issues so soon. There is even one spot on my left hip that causes me a ton of pain if I just touch it when I'm putting on lotion after my shower. The weird thing is, my mom had some of the same symptoms when she was pregnant with my brother (her 1st) and she ended up with permenant nerve damage in her left leg and no one could figure out why. I am certain that my issues are because of the way my hips are put together though. Maybe some PT will help or something...

Nathalie- I'm so sorry you're going through this! I hope that everything works out and they go away soon! Waiting till thursday seems like such a long time!!!

Robin- can't wait to hear. I feel like you're having a girl too

Peachy- crazy monitor lady! How long each day do you have to wear it?

Boston- call your dr already! Sleep is important for you and baby. There may be nothing that they can do, but then again, there might be something they can. You never know till you call! And maybe they can refer you to an orthopedist or someone that can help! And the pedicure was lovely, thank you

MaggieMay- looks like you've become famous on the we're pregnant thread w/ your list

HI Girls,
Ok sounds like we're starting to fall apart on the January thread. Literally, UGH! Gosh, and to think we're barely half way there!

Natalie-Im so sorry for your cramping/pains last night! Im with the others, can you have an ultrasound in the meantime? Are you able to work at all? I'm so sorry! Im sure you are fine with the Tylenol and taking as little as possible.

Boston-Before I read your explanation post, I thought you might be having sciatic nerve pain. So do you have to just live with no sleeping and pain? Im thinking physicaly therapy too. Maybe if you can get a hold of it somehow it wont get worse later on. (?) Im so sorry!

Peach-Electrodes? I didnt know the DR was making you wear them! You need to show me that tomorrow and tell me what that's all about. Do you have to wear them for the entire pregnancy?
Ladies-We're heading out shopping again tomorrow. Im going to the baby store near her house. Wish us luck that we find the jackpot!

Robin-What time is the appointment???? Ohh. it's probably on your signature, isnt it? I cant wait to find out what it is!! Why do all your friends think its a girl? All those old wives tales crack me up. 99% of people tell me Im having a boy...

Bri-Congrats on your NT results!!

Joy-Did you get through the weekend ok? How are you? Hows the fainting spells?

Cat-What was for breakfast this morning?

Thanks, ladies. I am going to call early this week. Since I was out on Friday, I'm trying like mad to catch up on work this morning. There is an orthopedist and a whole group of people that deal with how the body moves, etc in my OB's practice at the hospital...they're there to help people with stuff kind of like this during pregnancy. So, hopefully they can give me some good advice at least!! I saw some of the best orthopedists in Boston over the course of a few years about my hips and other than the drastic surgery, they said there really wasn't anything that could be done. But, I'm thinking some PT should at least help while all the ligaments are loosened up because of the pregnancy!
