Heart

Hello girls!!!!
I dont know where to even start, I will try to keep it short.
We did buy small baler and raker, so we are cutting, raking and baling all the time, it is hell to do it in this hot weather, but grass doesnot grow in winter. When I get evening home, I am glad to jump in shower and than on sofa, where I usually fall sleep, than around 11pm I watch for hour TV and go sleep again. All your posts I am reading morning, sometimes it was 8 pages a day, you were killing me, I just wish I will have a normal job like you. And where you get time for all that shopping?? I didnt get one thing for baby yet and nothing for me.......poor Mirka
One night after midnight, dogs were going crazy, I did hear some noise on porch, got gun and went out ready to kill anybody who was there. I did keep dogs in, I didnt want anybody to hurt my dogs. Well, there was coyote, that is what I was thinking, got back, took shotgun and went there again, but he was gone, with flashlight I find him in corner what is house fenced in (2acres) and was comming closer to kill him......but as I got closer and see him in light, it was dog, so I called him, he started to run for me and got down to my feet and was licking me legs, so I took him behind gate (only way how he got in - under gate), but 20 minutes later he was in again, so I give him water, food and overnight sleep. Morning he met my dogs, I made posters and was driving around posting them around. Nobody called me, so I got stuck with most ugly little thing, but most kind, so gentle and so so happy to see me each time I get back home.... I really didnt want another dog!!!!!!!
With BB who is with my DH now - it is now 5 dogs!!! House dogs!!!! Its crazy.
DH is lately good, he did learn how to clean bathroom, dishes, how to pick up crap after himself and did find out that trash bags does not have a feet so he has to take trash out himself.....but no right words came out from his mouth, no appolagize, nothing. Old dog - not any new tricks!!!!!
I love it like it is, but I dont know for how much longer it can go like this, we have to rent this house, but right now I still enjoy it and would not change anything.
Tomorrow we go for my 20 week appointment (19w5d), cant wait for u/s!!
I feel fine, no one problem, just only when I laugh or sneez - I pee my self!!! I am glad I dont have much to laugh about!!!!! Dr. did say baby is pushing on bloder and I should expect it to get worse. Great, I have to look for oversized dipers now.
I got very fat even I dont eat much, my tighs, butt and face are gigant. I am now 195lb!!!!! I just dont undersatnd!!!!!! I dont use any sugar, feels like I eat only cucambers and drink water, so I just dont understand. From 1st April it is 26lb up!!!!! Why me????? HELP!!!!!!!!
And that is all about me, nothing else, just work work work
Cat - so happy for your tests come out great!!! Congrats on your boy!!! Have a good time on your trip and come back speedy!!!
MM - same to you!!! Happy tests were all good. I need your list!!! ..... HoffertMirka@aol.com
Boston - dont worry, all is and will be ok for you!!
Robin - Congrats on your boy!! How it goes with your house? Now I cant remember if you already moved or not??
Nathalie - Nice to meet you!! Here you have me, that is me......
What??? you are not finding gender???? You must be really strong!!!
Forsurebaby - I did love your belly picture very much!!!!!
Peachy Peach - soon I will post my belly picture again, but for sure I will not look so pretty like you in that black dress!!!!! Very pretty mama!!
Joy - do you remember what I wrote?? Should I find it???? I knew you will have 3 girls!!!!! Good for you!!
Havana - listen carefully in that class, you will tell us (especially to me) all of it!!!
Did I miss someone???? Sorry!!!!

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone! I've had a pregnancy filled day. Started off with the La Leche group. I definitely appreciated about 75% of what I learned there and chalked about 25% up to a bit more "au natural" than I plan on being. Breastfeeding a 2yr. old is not for me and a couple of women had some strong opinions. But, other than that, the group was very welcoming and everyone had their kids with them so lots of playing going on. I did pick up some good tips. This group meets once a month and today everyone went around the circle and discussed a problem they were having/ or had with breastfeeding. The women thought it was very smart to go while pregnant and I bought a book there that my Mom had recommended from her days. Also, the leader of this particular group also teaches a Nursing 101 at our local Babies R Us and said it was a handy class to talk about different positions for feeding, tips, etc.

Then a quick lunch and off to meet DH and Mom at the u/s (we let her come with the promise to be quiet). The good news is we finally found a great perinatologist. Yeah! Thanks for the referral Havana. The doctor was super patient, took a lot of time to explain everything, and answered all of my questions on my list (only 5 today). Little Aiden looks great! We saw all the fingers and toes, the four chambers of the heart, the stomach, the brain.... Aiden wouldn't hold still this time! He is measuring over a week ahead and weighs 11 oz. The tech kept complaining she couldn't get good photos with all his movements. We had a really cute moment too. He was finally holding still and then we saw he had the hickups! His little tummy was bouncing up and down and it was so cute. They also did a vaginal ultrasound to check my placenta again. It still hasn't moved The perinatologist gave me less than a 50% chance of it moving. They'll check it again at 24 weeks. He told me just to try and take it easy and that it didn't bode well that I've already had one major bleeding incident. He said just to expect bedrest by 28 weeks unless I suddenly improve. He also expects me to feel more crampy after a few hours on my feet the further along I get. I asked him about visiting my family farm - my parents live there half the week and it's an hour away. He told me I can go visit for a few more weeks (if I don't have more bleeding) but no visits to the farm (or anywhere further than 20 minutes from the hospital) after week 24. So, no big surprises - mostly just reassuring of everything I'm being told by others. I'll post some pictures a little later on.

Havana and I are headed to BabiesRUs tomorrow night for their Baby 101 class taught by local peditricians. We'll be sure to report back!

Maybebaby - the Steelers gear just showed up in the mail! DH is going to be so excited. The booties and hat are adorable although I know the terrible towel will be his favorite!

Mirka!! It's great to hear from you! I can't believe how busy you have been!! Don't feel bad about not buying anything yet...I only bought a pair of socks so far! I'm happy to hear that your DH is doing some of the chores around the house. Please update us after your 20 week ultrasound (so exciting!)

Peachy - I'm happy your ultrasound went well with the baby. I'm sorry your placenta hasn't moved yet. Please don't push yourself...get plenty of rest and take it easy!!! The La Leche class sounds like it was helpful!!

Mirka - So great to hear from you. We missed you! I am excited to hear about your u/s tomorrow. I just watched our local news and they said it will be raining for days straight in Texas with this tropical storm so you'll have lots of excuses to be on the computer with us! I'm glad DH is starting to behave around there. I know it's slow going with those old dogs

Mirka- First of all, I LOVE you for taking in that stray dog. How sweet of you. I swear I had a lump in my throat. 5 dogs are alot but it all comes back to you tenfold. Glad to hear that Dh is helping out. And don't feel bad about not buying anything, I haven't even registered yet. I bought a huge stuffed animal and a couple of paintings for the baby's room. So my little piglet will be entertained but naked. Oh well.

Peachy- How cute that Aiden had the hiccups! That must have been incredible to see. Please keep us posted with La Leche league. I was just talking about that today with a friend of mine who said she knew of someone who breastfed her kid till it was 5 YEARS OLD!! Yuck & weird!! Hoping & praying that your placenta moves. Cannot wait to see you new pics!

Cat- Yes, that Bisphenol is in a lot of our things. USA today had an article on their front page about it last week. You can get Bisphenol-Free bottles & things at Babies-R-Us. Website is BornFree - Welcome to BornFree US It can be found in the lining of steel cans (I mainly have seen it in the baked beans, helps the stuff slide out easier, the inside of the can is white), DVD & CD holders etc... I have read reports where it affects the size of the boy's penis & scrotum besides other things. It is very scary. That and the chemical Phathalate (sp?). Have a wonderful vacation!! We'll miss you.

Havana- You always provide a good laugh at the end of the night. Love your drawings! Thanks for the info about registering.

Maybebaby- Are you back yet??

Okay, I was reading about all you girl's losing weight and I was like, OMG! OMG! OMG! Because I have gained 14 lbs. So I felt better when a couple of you said that you have gained. Whew!

Hi everyone, Thank you so much for the welcome back. I never really left I just couldn't find you. Well we saw one baby is pretty likely a boy, not a shy one either. The baby that is a little lower was not cooperating though so we still have a mystery. I would love to post photos but I don't know how to get it in the thread. I can scan the pics but from there, I'm clueless. I forgot to mention Boston, My hubby and his brothert went to a closed practice of the Patriots this weekend, Our brother in law is a doctor doing a 1 year fellowship with Harvard and he was covering practice and invited them. When they got there the security said it was a closed practice but they kind of snuck their way in a nd almost got BIL fired, way to go guys.

Morning Ladies...

Peachy - I loved reading about Aiden and the hiccups! So glad that everything looked good on the level 2, isn't it such a huge relief? Sorry to hear that your placenta hasn't moved, all the more reason for you to take it super easy. Did you talk to your broker already about the situation? Can't wait to see u/s pics!

MIRKA! It was so so so good to hear from you. I was laughing so hard about what you said about the trash bags! Plus there's been so much going on with you...see? That's why we miss you when you're gone, you're so much fun! Peachy is right -- there are some big rain storms headed your way so you have no excuse but to be online all the time! Oh and you are probably gaining ALL MUSCLE from all that hay baling and work! I'm sure you look great and healthy, not gigantic, silly. No wonder you've had no time to shop for anything....maybe Peachy, Havana and I need to fly out there and do some shopping for you.

Nathalie (and everyone...) I just read about these bottles in Pregnancy and Newborn magazine and it was so timely because of the posts yesterday about polycarbonates and bisphenol-A, check them out Adiri - Best for baby. Best for you.
They're free from chemicals and super simple in design.

Today the whole dept. plus other staffers are going out for a long lunch (then going home after!) to say farewell to one of my best staff members and friends. She's leaving us (though I consider it to be that she's leaving ME! sniff sniff) to go to grad school in Denver. I still can't decide about who to hire as her replacement because I'm so sad she's leaving! Without someone in her spot though, it's going to be a really crazy busy fall for me so I guess I better suck it up and hire someone. Anyway, I won't be back until tonight, so have a great day everyone!!!!

PS -- Did you guys see the three consecutive BFPs yesterday on the IVF thread? Laurie, Monique and Nancy! It was very exciting and reminded me of when we all got our back to back bfps wayyyyy back in April and May!

Hey ladies!!!

Peachy - I'm so glad you were able to see so much on little Aiden's u/s yesterday! I love those scans...they are so precise and detailed! And, I'm glad you liked the new peri...what a huge relief! I'm sorry to hear that your placenta hasn't moved. As everyone else has said, be sure to take it very easy! I can't tell you how much stock I take in that idea...my dr. is convinced that I'm not on bed rest yet because I have been so diligent about not over-doing it. It stinks sometimes, but its worth it! And, if you are put on bed rest, we will both have to keep each other occupied all day!

Thanks for the info on the bottles everyone...I had no idea! Thats absolutely crazy...seriously, is anything safe anymore?

Mirka - good to hear from you again! Holy cow...you are keeping SO busy! Be sure not to over-do it in that Texas heat! Hopefully, the rain will provide you with some relief!

Maybebaby - where are you?

LinaeLi - bummer that your second little one wouldn't cooperate! we had that same thing happen, but the next appt we were able to confirm the sexes of all 3! How exciting that you know that at least one of them is a boy!! Do you have any names picked out? Are your twins fraternal or identical?

As for the weight gain topic...oh boy. I am lucky and have only gained in my belly, but I passed the 18lb mark last week and I'm sure I will have gained 20lbs by the end of the week! No added weight in the butt, thighs or anywhere else, but my belly is BIG!

Hope everyone has a great day!

LineaLI - I am happy to hear that the scan went well!! Congrats on the boy!!!! I can't wait to hear what the other twin is!!

Joy - quick question for you....were they able to be 100% certain that all three were girls? I keep replaying my u/s in my head and I've been asking anyone/everyone I know that is having or has had a girl the same thing. hahaha And my DH is urging me to go buy girl stuff but, I don't want to risk having to dress a son in frilly stuff for the first few weeks of his life.

Maybebaby - how did it go yesterday?????

Boston - yes, they have now checked 3x and by the 2nd appt they were able to confirm that they were all girls. The first appt was only at 15 weeks so they were a little aprehesive about committing to the fact that they were girls, but by the next 2 appts it was obvious. Did the tech give his/her reasoning for believing it was a girl? Our tech kept saying something about the shadowing and angle??? Hope that helps a little!
